I like this, someone asked about cons.......you cant reach high places with the upright! so you have to use the hand held for that....but even that sometimes is not long enough so I have purchased a GEORGE vacuum too, but that I can wash the carpets also. This is light weight and you can zip around the house with it....I have a big collie dog whose hairs are long and black...and it copes with him easily......oh and another con, you cant vacuum the dog with it, otherwise it automatically cuts out if the brushes get jammed......(accidentally got his tail one day - didnt hurt him but stopped the Gtech) . it smells lovely, its so easy to take apart and clean, yes its expensive, but I do love it.
Hi, very helpful video thank you, especially with where you pop the scent filter, the booklet is not very clear on this point so I was grateful to you for covering this in your video, thanks again, Lisa
Nice review, thanks! Just ordered mine last night, along with the hand held gtec K9 on a deal off the telly for £349.99, but haven't got a cat or a dog..... maybe get one later 🤗. But I've just bought a load of new carpets, and want to keep them nice! My existing vac is corded made by Vax, which is perfectly good, but I wanted one that was cordless and light so that me and the Mrs don't have to struggle with heavy vacs and trailing cables! Must say, I'm quite excited about buying this vacuum cleaner, never felt the same before about getting a household device! Might do my own review when it comes 😸!
We sent ours back and stuck with our corded shark vaccum. It was just nowhere near as good. With the shark when the dirt section was empty....by time we finished the living room and hallway carpet there was fluff and bits in the cylinder...with the Gtech....a few bits but that's it
Unfortunately, the handle of my Gtech AirRam has jammed in the upright position and I cannot get it to shift. Sprayed with WD40 but no joy. Any suggestions?
Hi Lyndsey! Thanks for the demo. My mother wants me to check this hoover out for her because she likes the look of it.. She's very fussy. She turned her nose up at my new Shark hoover and my Dyson V6. The question is will she turn her nose up at this?? Perhaps I should just give her the back of the hand!!! (Only joking).
What's it like up against a skirting board and on stairs?. Does it get into the edges? Thick carpets ok?. What about the bits behind the toilet how do you get to those bits. No pipe?. Hate it when they demonstrate on a bit of carpet in the middle of a room with something that hardly ever needs vacing up.
I’ll stick with my Kirby Avalir Home Cleaning System!! 12 Complete units (12 in 1) 1) Upright Vacuum Cleaner 2) Straight Suction Upright 3) Carpet Fluffer / Floor Buffer 4) Shampoo System for Carpets 5) Shampoo System for Hard Floors 6) Shampoo System for Tile Floors 7) Hand Portable 8) Cylinder Vacuum Cleaner 9) Air Pump 10) Sprayer 11) Portable Shampooer 12) Sander, Scourer, Polisher
no, i think it is safe to say it isn't. I was going to get the dyson which is a fab hoover but we do not have any pets so the gtech seemed a good buy and half the price. Be warned though, there are no attachments on the gtech.
Don't buy from Gtech. The Gtech ar20, product itself has the chance to be one of the best in the UK, however it's has a design fault with the handle which renders it useless after just months of use. The biggest problem with Gtech is the customer support they say that they have never heard of any particular fault before and this is the first time. it's impossible not to have had this fault reported before as the handle is kept on with two very flimsy tabs made from plastic that fatigue and break within months of using the device. Gtech or refusing to to take ownership of the fault and provide a worthy replacement what's more they want to charge customers an extra £15 plus delivery for exactly the same handle that will also break within months of use.
Randy Zof have the George version and there just isn't enough suction for pet hair and the head doesn't rotate it is good for skirting boards and dusting but that's about it
Princess Excess you won't find better suction than a Henry don't know about George, agree it's not for pet hair though as no cylindrical roller, but for for bricks plaster sawdust etc it never gives up on the building site and around the home too
Randy Zof i think vaccum cleaners with a cylinder brush head are better for pet owners my George just pushes the hair and dirt around and doesn't actually get it off the carpet. and its a 2012 George before the EU rules came into action
Scoobied77 to be fair mate dyson are like the vacuum equivalent of apple, overpriced branded crap that looks pretty. A dyson v6 starts at £189, so infact it's cheaper than the gtech. I nearly brought one till I tried the vax airblade 24v. I ended up not going for the dyson..
These things are *terribly* made. Really poor plastic and built *not* to last. After sending the MK1 back after a couple of months ( couldn't disassemble to fit back in box ) we got a K9. After only about 10 months one of the plastic wheels has fallen off and on examination is not only broken, but badly designed and of very POOR quality. Don't waste your money on these battery TOYS, buy a proper mains vac.
Brought one out of morbid curiosity - what a piece of crap. Underpowered and flimsy - it stalled out on thick pile carpet. I'll stick with my Dyson V10 any day.
The Gtec k9 is a Brilliant hoover my mum and dad brought me this for my birthday im so thankful they did as its changed my life

hahaha - nice one re the dog!

Thanks. You saved my life! I was having a bit of trouble using it, now I don't. Brilliant

Great review! And, may I say, you also coordinate wonderfully with your beautiful kitchen!
Just bought Mk2 and very pleased with it.
Very helpful, do you recommend the K9 one even if I don't have an animal.. or should I just get the standard one?
biggest load of crap dont waste your money what a waste
Hi thanks for the video. That machine seems very loud, is it louder than a normal Hoover? thanks
Great piece of equipment had mine for two years, perfect
Unfortunately, the handle of my Gtech AirRam has jammed in the upright position and I cannot get it to shift. Sprayed with WD40 but no joy. Any suggestions?
Love ,love it it really has solved the pet hair problem , cleaning up is almost a pleasure , wish I'd got one sooner and better then Dyson any day
Very thorough and clear review. Thank you very much for making this!
Hiya. On the scented stick inside the filter. Do you take the plastic sleeve off or do you leave it on.
Hi Mark, yes you need to remove the plastic sleeve, you'll smell the difference right away :-)
Mark Delaney jju
I’ve got the AR30, and I’ve got a duster which is a piece of plastic. Not sure what to do with it.
Hi Lyndsey!

gingerjessy i have the old version of this and it's moles better than a heavy Dyson which doesn't have the suction it claims
James Macey j
Stick with the Shark.
Other than the scent tab, you don't make it terribly clear how this is different from the non K-9 version.
How do you clean your steps?
is the charger the same for the upright and the hand held one.
Were and how does the deoderizer g0
Get a shark power head instead. It plugs in the wall and has a screamer motor in it but, does a so much better job.
Lyndsey... it's not a hoover, it's a Gtech. I have had 2 of these and both have broke within 12 months. I wouldn't bother. Stick with the shark
So there’s no hose to get in all the corners?
a review normally contains pros AND cons. I feel this is a bit one sided unfortunately. Maybe there are no cons....
mine was jammmed in uprihgt position twice, wached video for fix , seeems they dont ad any grees on the mech that why the fail
I’ll stick with my Kirby Avalir Home Cleaning System!!

Nobody gives a 💩
can anyone please tell me how the k9 version is differant from ordinary version?
Is this better than the Dyson V8 absolute cordless vacuum?
no, i think it is safe to say it isn't. I was going to get the dyson which is a fab hoover but we do not have any pets so the gtech seemed a good buy and half the price. Be warned though, there are no attachments on the gtech.
Absolutely not. Any Dyson is better than this.
Don't it have anti hair wrap
11:34 11:34
I wanted to.see you.use it on stairs... is it any good for stairs?
Clarissa Mart
Hi Clarissa - I don't use it on the stairs, I use the multi, hand held cordless vacuum - see here: ruclips.net/video/-zDOgdijQ9Y/видео.html
the handheld that comes with it is great for stairs
Try and change the motor belt .when older almost impossible.
Review seems more like an advert rather than honest
these are same as Bissell air ram in australia
Has your handle broken yet?
why would the handle break???
Mark Uddin watch Kode1996: The handles are breaking near the top where it "clicks" in to the shaft; design flaw.
can you pay in installment plz
The Pet one is more expensive than the £199
Great video.

All good until the battery starts to fail give me one that plugs into the mains any day
Nick Grey for PM!
Why not available in Republic of Ireland Amazon do not ship
buy a henry hoover £65 on eBay. floors, stairs.skirting boards even curtain rails on site or at home. don't fall for the hype
Randy Zof bro I got one lmao.. they are a good all rounder.
Randy Zof have the George version and there just isn't enough suction for pet hair and the head doesn't rotate it is good for skirting boards and dusting but that's about it
Princess Excess hvr370p.. and buy a pre eu bullshit one.

skip to 7:38 and she starts to clean. Could have done with a real cleaning demo. I felt i'd lost part of my life I wont get back !!
Good
It sounds much nosier than the previous model. Good review though.
wow
If it takes that long to clean that rug then no one would be interested!!
It just a cheap battery powered sweeper, don't be conned
No it's not it's a decent, lightweight battery powered vacuum cleaner.
Don't be a Berk, Bobby.
Not so cheap as of the price of it.
Great review bad resolution
Oh sorry 2016
I’ve owned one for a year or so, and it’s an absolute pile of shit, completely fucking useless.
Kids toy piece of crap!!
v
My gtech is cutting out from motor equipment every 2 mins, any idea's what's wrong
GTECH. For people who can't afford a DYSON.
no for people that could spend the £200 you save on buying the Dyson on beer or video games.
Nah, GTECH is for people who want a better product than a dyson!
BudgieFan39 Unfortunately tests show otherwise.
Should be called ShitTech.
A very cheap and nasty plastic vacuum the G Tech is .Never be conned into buying one with all the marketing on it . A complete waste of your money!
Caterpillar Case Cannot agree. Best vacuum I've ever owned.
What isn't made of plastic nowadays.
Caterpillar Case Just like Dyson then
So what would/do you recommend?
I agree with you my brother has one and its really good ive borrowed it and could not beleive how well it worked for a cordless vacuum
These things are *terribly* made.
Really poor plastic and built *not* to last.

Yeah sure you did.
