I got mine today. Came with a free car cleaning kit and two chargers. Also it was £220 off and delivered overnight, free. So far, it's all sunshine and puppies.
We’ve had this set just not the K9 version for a couple of years and found it superb. Also worth mentioning that Gtech’s customer services is excellent. Any issues and new parts are sent without question.
Well, I never thought I'd be so mesmerised by watching a demo like this?! They should have sent you a new one for free because , I now want to buy one! Thanks for the demo and sharing.👍🏻
We have had ours a few weeks and it is BRILLIANT. The Air Ram K9 picks up like nothing I have used and the Multi K9 is a great addition to the range as it is sufficiently powerful and versatile, my only reservatioon being the lack of a rigid crevice tool. If your considering getting these, do so. They are superb.

Great demo. Well presented and perfectly explained throughout. Ours arrives tomorrow and hopefully will have X2 chargers. Thanks again for a super demo.
I just bought one of these and did not know how to get the filter out so very helpful thank you. On opening my box and checking through I noticed the extension hose had not been included, a quick phone call and one is on it’s way but thank you for your help...
I have mine for over a year,i love it,no bending over when hovering, its makeing a noise,Gtech AirRam K9,i have cleaned filter and put the spare one in and washed the other one,put a smelly in cleaned the brushes,it when its sucking in the dirt u here a noise sounds like if some think is stuck some where, reminds me of u no the tape sticky that you get round the bread to stop bread comeing undon, got caught somewhere but i dont no where to look,we have 2 dogs thats why i got this one,
I’ve got the g tech air ram and multi they are both really good you won’t believe what dust the vacuum picks up, easy to empty just keep the filters clean and g tech after sales is superb if you have a problem
It is necessary and easy to clean the collection bin in the Air Ram. The screw at the end is a miniature torx. Warm soapy water and a 24 hour dry and you are ready to go. I have found the Air Ram and multi get gunged up and dirty quickly. In future I will be using a Charles vacuum for a weekly deep clean and the Air Ram/Multi for daily freshening up.
Well I like your demo you took your time ,hopefully mine arrives tomorrow .So I'll be watching it again step by step with not having a man around was getting a little worried about putting it together.
Personally, I breathed a sigh of relief when you mentioned that there is NO extension hose in this model. I have painful memories of the many times (in my old cable cylinder vac) that stuff got stuck in the middle of the extension hose. To me, an extension hose is NOT NEEDED in a handheld vac, because the PURPOSE of an extension hose is for when you have a CYLINDER vac , the main heavy body of which you rest on the floor, so that the extension hose IS needed then, to allow you to reach different parts of your floor. Whereas with a HANDHELD vacuum, you can just carry it around easily to reach different places.
I feel ya there my family had the whirlwind cylinder and whirlwind upright and it was a pain to use we ended up getting a cordless but I’m getting my own cordless the dyson v7
I have just received my new Gtech K9 today, and so far so good....it appears to have very strong suction, and so far I like it a lot . I have another (previously purchased) handheld of DIFFERENT BRAND, which is a great vacuum but I really dislike this OTHER vacuum's emptying box because it has these awful STIFF PLEATS (looks a bit like CORRUGATED cardboard) on the filter, and the dust gets stuck in the crevices between each pleat. I have to use a small brush to get the dust out, and I found myself breathing in the dust.........in the end, I started wearing one of those white dust masks each time I emptied it.
I heard that on a press release/advert video for the new smaller motor design Dyson put out in the US. Well it started they no longer develop large vacuum motors
I am scared of spiders, I can't help it. For years, I was terrorized by them. (especially when they were in high places) But then one day, in my local newspaper, I read a review of a horror film, about a man who one day vacuums up a spider and because of what he did, a giant spider appears to take revenge on him and pursues him. But GREAT FOR ME, because ever since I read that review, which gave me the idea of VACUUMING up spiders, my life has been more tranquil. Anyway, I was thus very pleased today to discover that my Gtech K9 came with a 35cm pipe (50 cm if you stick the crevice tool at the end of it) allowing me to capture spiders without having to get too close to them.
I received mine through delivery today, and so far, I like everything about it. But personally I dislike artificial scents, and so I am hoping that I can remove the scented cartridges.
We got both of them, and to be honest I really don't rate them .the handheld tried it on the car,and I thought it was very poor picking up.the upright was ok at best just running around the floors ,but nothing to write home about. We don't use them atall now,and have gone over to another manufacturer now and we are really pleased with the latest results of our new machine.
Great review, but because this review is 4 years ago, I think people in the comment section who bought it 1 year ago probably have an improved version to say how good it is.
Should I get air blowing out of grill where I press to put handle down is it a fault on my new hoover my first one dident do that. Bought it 28th February 2023.
the problem with the air ram was that the handles broke where the upper handle entered the lower handle because of vibration of metal part against plastic part. Seems this may be a new handle design where both up handle and lower handle are plastic. Time will tell; right Roger?
The whole thing does seem flimsier than the original model but it's unlikely to break in my care. I do like using the AirRam though and it seems to pick up very well.
Another great video Roger, the new air rams head reminds me of the new Shark cordless cleaning head, the filtration / separation looks questionable on both Gtech machines though.
see if they have inproved the seal on the multi caniste please, i found on 2 units dust was getting into the handel and down to the battery compartment. if you suffer from astma not good. sent unit back.
Bissell basically bought the rights to licence and distribute in North America and Australia. We only have the base model Bissell AirRam and Bissell Multi, no K9 version. I was shopping for a vacuum my elderly grandmother could use. The capability, lightweight, easy to maintain nature of Gtech AirRam had me following them for a couple years and I even tried to contact them to get them to ship me one to the United States haha. No-go till Bissell began distributing in the 4th quarter of 2016 (October I believe)
Although now they sell the multi with the floor attachment that was formerly only available in Asia. I bought the Multi and AirRam package deal right after they first came out for the holidays in 2016 to give my grandma. Her arthritis didn't allow her to use the hand unit so I kept it. I saw the floor attachment was available online and purchased it as a standalone replacement part. It is a fantastic idea but the tube is larger than the intake on the Multi diminishing the velocity of air movement and the floor attachment although under-sized is still too large a distribution of that minimal vacuum power. I do not recommend anyone invest in the floor attachment. The Multi with the same brushroll attachment shown here works extremely well though. I should note that the tube is separate from the floor attachment when you purchase from the Bissell website and I feel the tube is a good investment as the included small brush roll attachment is compatible. You can reach behind couches or next to a desk that is difficult or impossible to get to without moving the furniture and still actively vacuum :-) I still take this to my grandma's and vacuum behind her desk and in corners that she doesn't get to.
14:56 "BUT" ,,, Oh dear,,, I think I'll stick to the old Kirby,,, a heavy brute of a thing however works as good as new and lifts just about anything out of the carpet after 28 years of use,,, I wonder how long the G tech will last?
i have one of the first ones its still working perfictly i would like to buy this one but have seen advertise in the papers cheaper the multi i bought was a present but i would like one for myself could you let me know how much i have to pay for both please
The chargers are 20 quid each, and the scented tab inserts are a tenner each, direct from Gtech, the scented tabs are compatible with the Air Ram Mk2 and Multi, and Gtech say they should be replaced once a month, so these would cost a fair packet each year if you have two machines, a tenner per tab is a bit steep! www.gtech.co.uk/support/cordless-vacuum-cleaners/gtech-multi-mk2-k9.html
The scented tabs are only compatible with the K9 model, not standard AirRam. Remember to take the plastic sleeve off the tab before use. If they lose their scent you could maybe add some lavender oil to the tab?
In the USA and Canada it is, but this is called Gtech in the UK as Gtech is the manufacturer who designed it. Bissell can sell it under their brand as they have an agreement with Gtech to do so.
Train Dude that was addressed above, Bissell did not make it they licensed the rights to sell this vacuum under the Bissell name in North America and Australia. As far as I know they're manufactured in the same facility in China as the Gtech version.
thanks for this just brought the hand vac (not the k9 model) just wondering if it is safe to leave charging on all night and will not harm the battery?, other model vacs will have an auto turn off once the charge is complete like the black and decker. thanks again.
I have a Henry and the carpet sweeper and a vax cordless and I clean the vax more than I clean the carpet, my place is clean, you must have not cleaned your sweeper, also what happens when the battery dies?
just seen another video on airram amd it dont pick up from side of walls etc. you have to use the multi or your main hoover. begs the qestion whats the point ? apart from kids muck.
If that is the vid with what looked like brick dust on tiles then an AirRam should pick it up no problem. I actually find mine pretty good at edges, you just have make sure it is running flush along the edge.
yes thats the one. i thought ram was ok but did not like the bin on it. and on multi found the seal at top of bin lacking, so dust particiles were geting past seal and onto hands. if you remove battery you find dust insde handle proving point. also triede a freinds unit which was the same.
Hi, eme again. I know what you mean regarding dust from handhelds. I tried a "Dyson style" Hoover Discovery and had that problem. Have to say, my Multi seems ok so far. I will keep a check on it though! Thanks!
I have a first generation AirRam. The things that drove me crazy about that were changing the filters (it was fiddly and they didn't seem to sit properly after washing) and the emptying. The whole 'tidy bales" thing seemed poor and not like the ads! There seems to have been an improvement with these two aspects, but I'm not sure how durable that slide mechanism would be longterm. Don't think I'd buy another Gtech now. They...like the ads, just seem a bit zzzzzz zzzz. Look forward to the test though!
just bought the hand held k9 , all the adverts and product info etc advertise it as having an extention tube but there isnt one, huge product misinformation in my opinion and huge disappointment , older videos when the product was new has the tube supplied in unboxing videos , but there obviously isnt one in now, but you can buy one for £15 , after just paying £170 ...i dont think so !
These things are *terribly* made. Really poor plastic and built *not* to last. After sending the MK1 back after a couple of months ( couldn't disassemble to fit back in box ) we got a K9. After only about 10 months one of the plastic wheels has fallen off and on examination is not only broken, but badly designed and of very POOR quality. Don't waste your money on these battery TOYS, buy a proper mains vac.
Luis Daniel no, they just partner on some Ventures. Bissell licensed these two products to sell in North America and Australia. I read something that leads me to believe Gtech handles some of the distribution stuff in the UK for Bissell as well.
Hi Roger hope alls well, nice looking vac but don't think it will be worth having as it looks like it is going to need alot of maintenance judging by the filtration. Anyway th
The maintenance isn't an issue for me, because I just use another vacuum to clean the filters. Bagless cleaners always require more maintenance than a good bagged machine.
I've owned one of these I wouldn't buy another, it pulls the fibres out of your carpet at an alarming rate it's actually quite shocking to see when you empty it. Also although it's pretty easy to empty and clean after 3-6 months it eventually stopped picking up things. The handheld version however works great.
Gtech Airram £250 plus Gtech multi £170 ! So you are going to spend £420 pounds in total! Better to buy Dyson v10 absolute better than Gtech with less money

How to clean in a corners, under the beds, drawers and etc. it's a nightmare. Ask homekeepers what they think about cordless vacuum cleaners. Buy a proper Miele vacuum cleaner, does better job for less cost
I got mine today. Came with a free car cleaning kit and two chargers.
Also it was £220 off and delivered overnight, free.
So far, it's all sunshine and puppies.
Thanks Vtech engineers. Both parts of this machine are outstanding! If a job is worth doing it's worth doing well- Thanks again:)
A really useful video. It helped me assemble the vacuum, really quickly.
We’ve had this set just not the K9 version for a couple of years and found it superb. Also worth mentioning that Gtech’s customer services is excellent. Any issues and new parts are sent without question.

Nice, wish we had it in the US
Cord free vaccums are becoming the norm now, I here dyson have stopped manufacturing corded vaccum cleaners. Great video. 👍
Andrew Cleversley
Dyson are still selling uprights just not improving any
Where in the world did you hear that!? Go to the dyson website
On Google I may be wrong but yeah.
I heard that on a press release/advert video for the new smaller motor design Dyson put out in the US. Well it started they no longer develop large vacuum motors
NoZenith they never have made their larger motors. Most are from Panasonic.

Thanks very much for this very helpful guide.
does the cylinder fill up quick.... would it need emptying after cleaning each room?
I haven't seen one of them commercials in ages
When the switches stop working on the multi, try spraying with contact cleaner/lube before replacing the switch.
I received mine through delivery today, and so far, I like everything about it. But personally I dislike artificial scents, and so I am hoping that I can remove the scented cartridges.
Desperate for someone to tell me how to DISASSEMBLE this product. It’s faulty I need to pull it apart but I can’t do it!!! Please help advice please

Great review, but because this review is 4 years ago, I think people in the comment section who bought it 1 year ago probably have an improved version to say how good it is.
I got both chargers it just may of error
is there an easier way to get the roller out, I have arthritis in my hands, the push button is useless for me?
No sorry, there is only one way to remove the roller.
I have the US version of the multi as a stick vac it's called the multi reach in the UK its called gtech power floor
Should I get air blowing out of grill where I press to put handle down is it a fault on my new hoover my first one dident do that. Bought it 28th February 2023.
Sort of reminds me of a drill with the light and the sound that it makes when it turns on
Ive used g tech tub vacuum when i cleaned a building few yrs back very efficient.dont think they make them anymore
It did pretty well for its size
I unsecured everything and washed it lol nice and easy
Hi just purchased new air ram vacuum it makes a terrible noise from the visor on the front can this be removed

During regular use, the filters don't get as dirty so quickly and at least there's a spare set to fit when the others are drying.
see if they have inproved the seal on the multi caniste please, i found on 2 units dust was getting into the handel and down to the battery compartment. if you suffer from astma not good. sent unit back.
in the U.S. we have the exact same thing made by Bissell both the air ram and multi
Bissell adopted the AirRam for sale in the U.S. and I believe Australasia. It's the same cleaner.

I like a cleaner with stiff brushes, but in your opinion, do they clean deeper than soft brushes Roger.
I would have thought that stiffer brushes clean deeper as they agitate the pile more to release the dirt.
ibaisaic .That's what I believed Roger. Thank you. Just wasn't sure.
That is really cool
i have one of the first ones its still working perfictly i would like to buy this one but have seen advertise in the papers cheaper the multi i bought was a present but i would like one for myself could you let me know how much i have to pay for both please
Their goin cheap at the mo £280 for both
Looks better than the old airram. My church has the old airram and the multi and neither of them are that good but they are heavily used
The Hoover C300 seems similar and less than half the price of Gtech. What is your opinion of them?
The chargers are 20 quid each, and the scented tab inserts are a tenner each, direct from Gtech, the scented tabs are compatible with the Air Ram Mk2 and Multi, and Gtech say they should be replaced once a month, so these would cost a fair packet each year if you have two machines, a tenner per tab is a bit steep! www.gtech.co.uk/support/cordless-vacuum-cleaners/gtech-multi-mk2-k9.html
I think the picture showing just one tab is wrong. The scented tabs for earlier models cost £9.99 for six months supply which is six packets of four.
The scented tabs are only compatible with the K9 model, not standard AirRam. Remember to take the plastic sleeve off the tab before use. If they lose their scent you could maybe add some lavender oil to the tab?
You can buy a flat scented tablet from Gtech for the earlier versions.
I like the look of the Multi but not the Air Ram Can the Multi be bought with a floor brush and a wand to connect other tools.
Where can I get the battery in Malaysia
Is this the same as the BISSELL in America?
Isn’t this called the bissle airram?
In the USA and Canada it is, but this is called Gtech in the UK as Gtech is the manufacturer who designed it. Bissell can sell it under their brand as they have an agreement with Gtech to do so.
ibaisaic oh ok thank you for the clarification
Love your videos by the way
been watching a lot of your vids during lockdown
Great product
Where's demo can't find k9 ram please could you post it
wait bissell air ram?
But Bissell did make a vacuum in America that was very similar to that one
Train Dude that was addressed above, Bissell did not make it they licensed the rights to sell this vacuum under the Bissell name in North America and Australia. As far as I know they're manufactured in the same facility in China as the Gtech version.
Great Video Thank's for the share !!!
Nice review
On the multi take the ring in the bin off for more suction
thanks for this just brought the hand vac (not the k9 model) just wondering if it is safe to leave charging on all night and will not harm the battery?, other model vacs will have an auto turn off once the charge is complete like the black and decker. thanks again.
Yes, it can be left overnight to charge.
@@ibaisaic appreciate the response
Is it as loud as the video is making it ?
I have a Henry and the carpet sweeper and a vax cordless and I clean the vax more than I clean the carpet, my place is clean, you must have not cleaned your sweeper, also what happens when the battery dies?
The sweeper I would use is brand new. When the battery dies I would use one of my many corded bagged vacuum cleaners.
just seen another video on airram amd it dont pick up from side of walls etc. you have to use the multi or your main hoover. begs the qestion whats the point ? apart from kids muck.

I'm quite liking them so far, especially the AirRam but the build quality doesn't seem that good.
There both bissells in the US and I have the tall one
Buy the G tech Airram platinum and demonstrate it
Gtech or shark what one is better for pets
Shame there's no spare charger as when we bought the Mk1 set it came with 2 chargers
Yes, I was surprised it only had one, but I haven't found it to be a problem so far.
Well done
just bought the hand held k9 , all the adverts and product info etc advertise it as having an extention tube but there isnt one, huge product misinformation in my opinion and huge disappointment , older videos when the product was new has the tube supplied in unboxing videos , but there obviously isnt one in now, but you can buy one for £15 , after just paying £170 ...i dont think so !
Don't suppose anyone knows if these are any good picking up bird seed from hard floors?
These things are *terribly* made.
Really poor plastic and built *not* to last.
After sending the MK1 back after a couple of months ( couldn't disassemble to fit back in box ) we got a K9.
After only about 10 months one of the plastic wheels has fallen off and on examination is not only broken, but badly designed and of very POOR quality.
Don't waste your money on these battery TOYS, buy a proper mains vac.
Nice video
Does Bissell own Gtech?
Luis Daniel no, they just partner on some Ventures. Bissell licensed these two products to sell in North America and Australia. I read something that leads me to believe Gtech handles some of the distribution stuff in the UK for Bissell as well.
Do you know this cleaner is under the bissell brand
I think those metal peices may be magniesium.
Wow
Hi Roger hope alls well, nice looking vac but don't think it will be worth having as it looks like it is going to need alot of maintenance judging by the filtration. Anyway th
The maintenance isn't an issue for me, because I just use another vacuum to clean the filters. Bagless cleaners always require more maintenance than a good bagged machine.
Why does the gtech air ram and multi look like bissell air ram and multi
Because Gtech licenced Bissell to put their brand on the machines made by Gtech.
@@ibaisaic ok
Oh ok
Gtech k9 multi and air ram has battery
Ive been off youtube for a while, got a lot of videos to catch up on 😂
I've owned one of these I wouldn't buy another, it pulls the fibres out of your carpet at an alarming rate it's actually quite shocking to see when you empty it. Also although it's pretty easy to empty and clean after 3-6 months it eventually stopped picking up things. The handheld version however works great.
Also it is also electric
How many carpets have you seen that are that dirty in the demo at the end for gods sake. Your expecting miracles.
Gtech Airram £250 plus Gtech multi £170 ! So you are going to spend £420 pounds in total! Better to buy Dyson v10 absolute better than Gtech with less money
I’m not sure where you’re looking, but the bundle I bought is now £300 or £350 for the K9 version.
No cords to hold you back no plugging in and only 9.99 Carpet sweeper
I have a £9.99 Ewbank carpet sweeper so I can easily put your claim to the test in a future video. My bet’s on the Gtech to win.
compare to bissell AirRam ibaisaic from the usa
I believe they are more or less the same as the Bissell version is made by Gtech.
wow shark vacuums like the ion flex 2x I called the 2x from shark because 2 batterys
you should get the bissell pet hair eraser lift off usa brand and your usa power adapter can power it up and it sounds like a usa shark vacuum
Soooooooo this is just a copy of the Bissell Air Ram
No it’s not. Gtech is the inventor and original manufacturer. Bissell just licence the product to sell in the USA and certain other countries.
Who sead we are fed up with him and his dog you !!!!! ??
Simon James ??
@@morganm5370 it was said on the video we are fed up seeing him and his dog on TV well who sead not me so !!!
Simon James said*. And some people are fed up with the Gtech adverts, they are a little annoying and it’s almost every add break sometimes
@@morganm5370 well hes got to earn a living so if he doesn't advertise no sales and as he's paying for them your not to bad cry baby
Simon James well that makes little sense. Some adverts are annoying though you’ve got to admit that, and the Gtech one does drone on a bit
I’d just message Gtech and ask for another charger.
I did and got one for free.
Gtech? Don't you mean Bissell?
Funny
How to clean in a corners, under the beds, drawers and etc. it's a nightmare. Ask homekeepers what they think about cordless vacuum cleaners. Buy a proper Miele vacuum cleaner, does better job for less cost
............
They are awful vacuums, they only take the top layer up.
This is all I needed to no, to no i wont be buying it. Thank you
Such a strange design
