Awwwww Mummy Rog is adorable ❤
I’ve been watching for years and am bizarrely excited by the guest appearance from your mum! Hope she is enjoying her new vac.
I love the Gtech Air Ram Machines. I used to use one at my previous place of work whilst giving nursing care. I used it in the patients rooms and in all the communal areas. This was a huge nursing and rest home where we also gave end of life care. After nursing and supporting a patient, in my spare time I loved to help the cleaning staff with domestic chores. I do love to clean. This machine was awesome, but when it gets old you do need to replace certain parts such as the brush roller and sometimes for longer uninterrupted cleaning having one or two spare batteries fully charged may help, so as one finishes you can put it on charge and continue cleaning with one of the other spare batteries. Also, you can get the hand held machine to pair up with the upright, so that one can be used for stairs and upholstery cleaning.
Loving Mum's bedroom carpet!
I've just serviced an unearthed Gtech AirRam of my 86yo Dad's - hoping it still performs well, even if not quite as good as this newer model. Thanks Roger!
So happy to see this. I’ve just bought this for my mum and I think it’s going to be perfect for her
My Nan loves her Airram! I'm sure your mum will love it.
My nan has one but she hates it
100%
I use a wheelchair and use this effortlessly. It’s really good, apart from having to clean the brush bar often despite not having a dog. Thought it was really thoughtful of you thinking of that.
You’re great, I love watching these videos of you doing hoovers.
One of them would be ideal for my own mother (as long as I did the maintenance on it), she's nearly 80 and at the moment is still using an old Electrolux Powerlite Petlover bagged upright I gave her 10 years ago - it was the lightest upright I could get for her that she wouldnt have to keep maintaining. I think to be honest she struggles with that now too.
The only problem with the elderly using these type of vacuums is the level of maintenance it would require, in the case of those with pets, emptying the bin after every use and keeping that sponge filter clean. I know my mother is absolutely hopeless at maintaining bagless vacuums as she has a small bagless cordless handheld that has a tiny bin - its the cheaper version knockoff of the Shark wandvac without the wand. Every time I visit her I have to empty it and clean the cone filter as mother cant cope with dismantling the bin.
In the past, the elderly would buy Orecks, but as your mother wanted cordless, then the air ram is the next best thing - but either she, or you, will have to keep on top of that bin and filter, especially with it being used to clean up dog hairs.
Im glad your mum likes it, hopefully the sebo felix still gets some love.
I got the k9 version, also got with it being light due to my eds joint issues and love it. It picsk up to so much and is brilliant on hard floors and carpets.
We’ve had an AirRam for years, can’t fault it. Before that we had the Mark one and that was great too. We use it day to day and then once a week do a thorough clean with a shark corded machine.
Looks like a great cleaner. I think it's sold under the Bissell name in the US and they have a machine that looks identical.
Love this video, thanks Roger. Say Mama ❤❤. About the GTech well it’s a good idea may be Bissell or GTech design a cleaner that it’s ok for people that needs to clean using as a broomstick, something light and easy. Some day they will sell same model but with self cleaning. About this Robocleaners may be in a future.
I swear youtube must read my mind, I was thinking to ask if you or anyone could suggest a lightweight vacuum for my own mother and then I saw this review pop up and wanted to check it out as I heard they're very lightweight, and I find it funny that you are trying it out for the same reason, thank you for the video.
My Mum still likes the AirRam I bought her and when I was last there I checked the filter and she had managed to keep it clean. It’s probably one of the best cleaners in the lightweight catagory.
@@ibaisaic that sounds great and perfect for her needs, I will have to get her one, I normally help with the shark mains power but its too heavy for my mothers so a lighter and cordless one would be perfect, thanks for the reply, unfortunately RUclips only just told me now about it.
This is good
I was just mentioning you reviewed the older model a long time ago. I could have swore you reviewed the newer one already but I guess not. I got one too but it's been in quarantine because it came from Brooklyn, NY and had cockroach pieces in it so I'm not taking any chances!
You still have your other air ram and the brush roll is different on this unit Im ust to see the air rams Bissell or gtech that has a pattative brush roll design
This is great for quick vacuuming. I would still use the Sebo once a month for a deep clean.
I don't think my mother ever handled a vacuum; all of us children were made to vacuum by my mother as very small children. I personally like the Aerus Electrolux Canister vacuum; power nozzle for carpets, floor brush, wands and other tools for dusting and above floor cleaning. The metal Electrolux tanks are heavy but will outclean anything new. The last cleaning woman had a bagless Shark; filthy, dirty, disgusting, I hated it! Plus she never cleaned properly, leaving a huge film of dust on the base of the televisions. I also like the Electrolux because of the blower port to blow out the dryer of loose lint, under the refrigerator, and drying damp carpets.
I have a Bissell air ram, and it looks the exact same except the color scheme is blue instead of green
My mom could no longer use the Felix I bought her for the same reason, too heavy (my mom is 80). I bought her and Oreck and she loves it!
Yes the Oreck was designed for seniors.
Reassuring to know that the vicar still makes house calls!
Gtech hylite is also light and uses bags. Have a vacuum for upstairs and downstairs
I have one. The bags are tiny and would fill up after a couple of uses.
Keep us posted on what she thinks.i wish those were available in the US
They are, under the Bissell brand.
How many cleaner's do you have
I have a henry and a dyson stick cordless, but my daily vacuum is my gtech mark 2 ( didnt like the platiunum, thebhandle clicied horribly when changing direction and it felt terrible quality. Great customer service from gtech though.
I also have an original gtech i bought from qvc when first launched which I use upstairs.
Wouldn't be without my gtech!
I have to say however the gtech handheld is woefully bad.
Can you please film the shark detect pro please
No, I’m not getting one.
@@ibaisaic why not I’m interested
@@joshuabates2038did you not watch the start of the video
henry qick
It would be nice to see your face more Roger, at least in the first few minutes of the video. It's a bit strange to just see your headless body and the vacuums.
dos she like a Robot vacuum cleaner
These aren't built to last unfortunately. Replaced 3 wheels on mine! They're plastic and the little lugs snap quite easily. Will be moving to shark. It's a shame as the MK1 was built solidly
You won’t like shark then
Bagged vacuum cleaners are more healthy and more self everything is proven online how about that
Among us
50 minutes tickets gone in 1 day get your tickets before sold out
it’s no different to the gtech sweepers
Please show your mum's face ❤
Maby not.
Why do you think so
That’s abit weird asking that 🤦
@joyskiies9709 he's just asking there is nothing wrong with that.
@@MRlaim7don't worry I'm on your side
Very noisy vacuum cleaner
