    I don't think Colin's wrong. There's a reason why we don't talk about the 1970s NBA like we do the Russell-Lakers-Wilt 1960s, the Bird-Magic 1980s, Jordan 1990s, and Lakers/Spurs 2000s, and now the Lebron 2010s, and it's because the 1970s lacks an identifiable dynasty with 8 different teams winning the 10 championships. Even the era's best player, Kareem, is undoubtedly more thought of for his play with Magic in the 1980s than he was when he was racking up MVP awards in the 1970s.

    Kevin Durant kinda messed up the western conference because it was more balanced out. You kinda didn't know who was going to come out of the west. You know the Cavs are gonna come out of the east but it still makes it interesting when other teams make it competitive.

    No one expected Chicago to go up 2-0 in Boston before Rondo got injured. LeBron leading the Cavs to victory after they were down 26 in half time. IT having one of the greatest playoff performances in NBA history dropping 53 the day after he lost a tooth n the series before that losing his sister!
    I'm sorry but this is the cakewalk West for Golden State. Other than the game where Marc Gasol hit the game winner on S.A. what other game stands out. The Eastern conference playoffs has been FAR MORE EXCITING this season

    The Cavs sweep the Eastern Conference: East is weak
    The Warriors sweep the Western Conference: West is tough
    Lebron passes up the ball to an open teammate: He's scared to shoot
    The Warriors pass up the ball to open teammates: Good ball movement
    Lebron asks for a playmaker: Lebron needs all the help
    Warriors players recruit Kevin Durant: They are so unselfish
    Lebron joins a 47 win team: Lebron sucks and can't win on his own
    Kevin Durant joins a 73 win team: Warriors fit his playstyle and has the right to sign where he wants
    Cavs draft Lebron, Kyrie Irving and Tristan Thompson. 3/5 of their starting lineup and 2/3 of their all stars: Their team is too stacked
    Warriors draft Steph, Klay and Draymond. 3/5 of their starting lineup and 3/4 of their all stars: The Warriors built their roster the right way
    Warriors blew a 3-1 lead to the Cavs: The NBA is rigged
    OKC blew a 3-1 lead to the Warriors: The NBA is Fair and Square
    People really find anything to hate on Lebron lmfao

    Im a spurs fan so i should be upset at colin's take but he has a point because that 2014 finals should have been the most watched finals ever with lebron going for the threepeat and the spurs trying to get some retribution after that devastating 2013 loss, however, that finals had some of the lowest viewership numbers ever. Low numbers despite the fact that the spurs ended a perennial dynasty. You'd think that would bring the crowds in but no; steph curry vs a kyrie and kevin less cavs had better numbers. So everyone says that warriors and cavs every year is boring yet everybody and their mother makes sure to watch every minute of those warriors and cavs finals so colin does have a very good point.

      That's because most people prefer the flashy, chest-pounding, arrogant superstar to humble, loyal, hardworking men like the Spurs. I love listening to Colin every day, but I really want to see him proved wrong on this! #GoSpursGo

    Good point. The most watched teams; most memorabilia sold; most fans of a team; etc, are the most dominate. This is not bad for the NBA. • @user2176

    Lebron vs KD is the modern day Magic vs Bird. KD being more of a sharp shooter like bird, and Lebron being more of a distributor like Magic. Both basically power forwards with guard skills, the NBA should have been marketing that rivalry the whole time, but way harder now with the way players change teams.

    • @tommylaudon5449
      @tommylaudon5449 7 лет назад

      Well here we go then, they won 51 games with Lebron. The 8 seed in the east won 41 games. Literally what you are saying is that Lebron would not have made a difference in at least 42 of the wins they had this year, that they would not have lost 10 more games if they didn't have Lebron James on the roster. You are actually kidding. There is no way you're serious, just like there is no way the Cavs would have made the playoffs with a starting 5 of 1 Kyrie 2 Shumpert? (since Jr was hurt all year anyway) 3 Richard Jefferson?? 4 Love 5 Thompson. That is not a playoff roster at all, in any way, in any conference

    So the East is harder, Colin? in 2013-14 the Dallas Mavericks 49Ws (8th Seed - West) won more games than the Chicago Bulls 48Ws (3rd Seed - East). Pathetic.

      That's a damn lie. They went to 7 games to guess who? The Mavs. Miami didn't went to 7 games, they went to 6 games with the Pacers. Check your facts.

    The Titanic analogy doesn''t work. You wanna see how the movie unfolds and the quality of it. The NBA regular season is known to be mostly boring.

  • @0680496
    @0680496 7 лет назад +2

    the reason we watched Titanic even though we knew the ending was the story between the characters which was new to us, however in the NBA playoffs we knew what the story will be on the way to the finals; Cavs and GSW will sweep or dominate teams on their way to the finals there will be no drama or any upsets; which is bad for the NBA.

    • @BernardBrunu1
      @BernardBrunu1 7 лет назад +1

      0680496 So u will rather a team like boston or the wizards make it to the finals? They will get swept by any team from the west that makes it to the finals.

    His statement about D.C. is wrong this time of year Caps and Wizards are basically all us D.C. sports fans are talking about and year round it's like this:
    1.Skins
    2. Wizards
    3. Nationals
    4. Caps
    5. Then everyone takes there pick of D.C. United, Maryland sports, G town basketball and UVA sports.

  • @YTBraxxGaming
    @YTBraxxGaming 7 лет назад +1

    Colin makes the argument that the same 2 teams dominating the league is good for the league. But then he mocks the Wizards for not selling out home games. THATS THE POINT! "People are discussing LeBron and KD and watching sports debate shows. That's great for your business, BUT ITS HURTING THE LEAGUE. People aren't buying tickets to see the hometown team because they know that they don't have a chance to win. Colin is looking at this issue as an sports show host, he needs to see this from the eyes of a sports fan who is only loyal to one team.

    • @BernardBrunu1
      @BernardBrunu1 7 лет назад

      Braxx The wizards are in the conference semi finals and won 49 games. There is no reason for them not selling out thier arena.

    • @YTBraxxGaming
      @YTBraxxGaming 7 лет назад

      Bernard Brunu Cause the fan base here doesn't believe in the Wizards. The East is a joke this year. The Wizards are just an above average team. Everyone knows their season is going to end with a quick sweep from the Cavs. You're saying there's no excuse for people not being excited about an "above average" team finishing 5th, and getting swept. And yes there is an excuse, it called LeBron winning the east 6 years straight

    • @BernardBrunu1
      @BernardBrunu1 7 лет назад +1

      Braxx The raptors sell out Air Canada Center and they got swept by the cavs, the lakers sell out games yet they focus on tanking. The knicks sell out games but they can barely make the playoff. It looks like Washington doesn't care about their basketball team, there are many cities especially in canada who will do anything to have an nba team

    • @YTBraxxGaming
      @YTBraxxGaming 7 лет назад

      Bernard Brunu yeah it's no surprise cities like LA and NYC have no problems selling tickets. Maybe it's fair to say that D.C. Doesn't care for the Wizards as much as they should. But the real point I was trying to make is that the league isn't better off, because the competition has thinned out. Even the fans know that nowadays you're either a super team, or you might as well just tank.

    Do the high ratings of the Finals make up for the lackluster ratings during the regular season? I could've sworn that analysts all over were ranting about how bad the NBA's viewership has been all season. You can't have it both ways. I personally agree with Charles Barkley about how bad the playoffs have been this year. It's been mostly sweeps and blowouts, with only a handful of competitive games. We're basically goin' through the motions waiting to get to the Conference Finals which will HOPEFULLY be at least somewhat interesting, and then the Finals which SHOULD be interesting (I have a feeling it could be pretty disappointing just to top it all off). I guess we'll find out soon...... #OD9

    Do you know how frustrating it is to see my favorite team lose to LeBron EVERY YEAR! I hate it! Fans of other teams are frustrated every year. I'm a Pacers fan. The East would be so exciting without the Cavs. Celtics, Wizards, Pacers, and Raptors would all have a chance to make the finals, and it would be unexpected and fun.
