i don't get why some people throw so much hate on Ben, he's never rude, he is interesting, he spent 1 whole year on a Scottish island without modern technology where everybody would die if they didn't have access too a mobile phone, his daughter has a Scottish name. I think honestly he loves (most of) the world and he is fair and doesn't talk over people like most idiots do now as that is the USP for programs like this
the audacity of this man when London is in England, the Royal Family lives in England. most people refer to all of the UK as England sometimes. England washes all over the UK which is why the other smaller nations have to fight to keep their identity at the risk of English assimilation.
are you referring to Ben Fogle, I'm Scottish, lived in Scotland all my life here for 36 years, I think he is a lovely, fascinating guy, he's not trying to kick up a riot. The female guest is a bit stupid in my opinion, seen her say lots of stupid things on morning TV. But then again she has a right to her own opinion. Nobody can be 100% right. But il agree that you are right about the whole assimilation thing, Loads of Americans think England is the UK/Britain but again is that really their fault ?, They are reliant on the consumption of American news and media who simplify things and make it stupidly apparent that England is Britain, why? I have no idea. I know where some things are in America, but I don't have any interest in learning the difference between all the states as it bears no difference in my life. Americans would assume maybe I'm arrogant for that, it's not arrogance or being dumb, so everything is vice versa really. Britain is the term for the main chunk of the UK (obviously excluding NI) and is used by different people to varying levels. Sadly though, Scotland and Wales especially, in the future will get assimilated to the point where there won't be 3 different countries there will just be Britain, but alas il be dead and long gone when that happens so I won't be there haha lol.
But I think the English are losing their identity nowadays most English say UK, British etc. Scottish and Welsh are still ok to say their own identity. I'm sure this will please you alot.
