  • Today me and my brothers used chunks of cut ladyfish deep in the Everglades to find some solid snook.

Giant mullet heads are my go to for absolute hog snook.

Were you cutting the ladyfish without a cutting board atop the lid of a beautiful and very expensive Egret boat?!? Wow!

Do you think the knocker rig kinda buries the bait in the mud though? I usually free Lin the cut bait.

We use a 1 oz weight usually. If not, the current will have your bait all over the place. The 1 oz is light enough too that it allows the bait to move a bit I think. Just enough weight to keep it still works best we found.

Too easy. I like catching 40s on a DOA Cal and a size 2500 reel.
