  • I join my younger brother Brett and one of my oldest friends Charles (aka Chucky) as we join Captain Mike from Kraken Down Charters to fish the world famous Sebastian Inlet in East Central Florida.
    Having gone to college a short 45 minute drive from this special location I always dreamed I'd one day fish from a boat off the infamous North Jetty and target big snook and redfish.
    Thanks to Captain Mike that dream was fulfilled.
    He runs a first class operation!! The boats and gear are top notch!!! And he's a very knowledgable and super chill captain. I'd highly recommend him to anyone looking for a stellar day on the water. His website is below! Contact him asap!!!
    www.krakendown...
    He was even kind enough to not only tolerate my 8,000,001 questions, but answered every one!!! I must be the worst charter passenger ever!! But, I love learning new fisheries.
    Thanks so much for watching!! Tuna vids from here on out until Spring

    Went out of Sebastian several years ago for tuna. Got a ton of bonito next to shrimp boats but no tuna unfortunately. Loved Captain Hiram's (restaurant) food though, worth checking out the next time you are in Sebastian.

    Another awesome video! I would be paranoid running a boat in a rough inlet wedged between the other boats and the mania on the Jetty. That captain was a BOSS!

    Did you surf slaters wave ?

    • @reaperfishingnj8623
      @reaperfishingnj8623  7 месяцев назад

      I surfed it way back in college. Even got to see Slater himself go out and rip in person.
      I only once surfed First Peak (it was heavily guarded by the locals back then) in the midst of an insane mullet run. Acres of mullet were pinned up against the jetty. Only my friend and I were dumb enough to go surf so we had First Peak all to ourselves. Got a few waves before the tons of sharks around us could grab a hold!!
      To be young and dumb again!!!
      Unfortunately they re-did the Jetty and the refraction that made the wave so special is gone.
