  • THE BIGGEST SNOOK ON RUclips //
    Snook fishing has long been my favorite thing. The snook is by far my favorite target species and the fish that got me addicted to fishing. For the longest time I was stuck at a certain number on tape. I kept catch 44.5" fish on tape and no matter how I put it, I couldn't break that on a tape measure.
    Of course my biggest fish cam when I did not have a tape measure. During this night of fishing the stars aligned and I was finally able to catch a MASSIVE SNOOK while I had my tape. This is genuinely the biggest FLORIDA SNOOK I have ever seen on tape on RUclips.

    My biggest snook was 38" long caught on a 3 oz red head with a 12" white plastic tail at John's Pass, Florida. That pass is loaded with big snook. Most guides fish there with live bait and they catch the really big snook.

    U need to come down to west palm and fish the spillways. I’m 42 years old and have a 15 year old son. We regularly catch over 40” snook there and all on artificial! When it rains drop everything your doing and hit a local spillway. They snook love to pick off the fresh water fish that get dumped into the saltwater there.

    Great documentation of the species as a whole, west coast of Florida too man! I know those guys on the east coast catching giants all the time likes its not big deal, I know the gulf coast grind for those big fish. My personal biggest was 41" on Siesta Key beach in Sarasota, fished out there for years and rarely even seen one close to that size let alone land it on a light 20 lbs leader. Was a spawning fish that slurped a small jack crevalle!

    As an offshore Capt that has caught huge Marlin, Dolphin and Wahoos I can honestly say that not much equals the power of a big Snook or Jack. My pb is 41" and weighed 26 it was super fat so like he said those 30s are Unicorns in reality. The one that keeps me shook and addicted was that eat Anthony has on tape. • @AbenzFishing
      @AbenzFishing  6 месяцев назад

      There is all of the above, drop off, moving water, and tons of bait. It’s an area that’s so far up river that we have a lot of freshwater bait. Tilapia, cichlids, and more. I think that’s why they forage so much there and why they get so big.

      Not at all. It’s a custom 8’ rod, 20-40 line class, 1/4oz - 4oz rating. Reel is a tranx 400

    Complete unit brother✊🏻 hard work pays off. Only other snooks that I’ve seen on RUclips that I’ve seen too your 45 is Blair Wiggins on his “claimed 48” where he was fishing the Roosevelt bridge. Didn’t look like a 48 but who knows video maybe do it Justice. And the other one was capt. Chansey from chew on this with his 46” . Now that one by far is the biggest I’ve seen.

      Blair never put the fish on tape, I fish by 10 cent and have seen that a lot. I love Blair, I don’t think that was 48.. I haven’t seen a 45 from justin. I’m a fan, but link it
