-- High crit rate moves determine their rate by dividing base speed by 64
-- All crits have a 1/256 to fail, even if the rate is 100%

I don't know if anyone has explained this to you yet so I'll do it but the reason why Goldeen knows peck is because the verb for peck in Japanese つつく (tsutsuku) is used as "poke at repeatedly" too. So peck is just Goldeen stabbing you with the horn a bunch.
Which doesn't explain why it affects ghost types. 😂
@@foxbird123 by that logic, why does grass moves affect ghosts? Why does water moves affects ghosts ? Why does biting affects ghost in latet gens ?
@@magusperde365 because you're pedantic
@@magusperde365 Why does any non-normal move affect ghost types
Similar reason to why Hoppip knows Splash. It's because the move is called "Hop" in Japanese
A Scott’s Thoughts tier list of any variety would be a fun change of pace. Maybe save that for if you feel a little burnt out in the challenges at some point.
Definitely. Some of the leaders might be in different tiers depending on the version
@@TheAnalyticalEngine I say Erika in yellow is the worst
Ironically I'm working on a mega project about this topic
Bruno n Giovanni might be the worst in red n blue and are slightly worse than yellow Erika
Surge in all 3 versions is honorable Bruno tier mention
Low effort content like teir lists are the slow descent into RUclips trash teir
I like your idea! I’d watch a tier list based on Scott’s thoughts. For me it doesn’t need to be 100% based on stats/data, with all the playthroughs he has done, I trust his judgment :D
I realized something after hearing you explain how Misty’s good AI will cause her to never use water gun or bubblebeam. I think Surge might’ve been deliberately given normal AI so he could still choose his signature “dundabold” against the player’s Pikachu, even though it’d be not very effective.
Sure, it leads to weirdness like what we saw here, but it’d be even weirder to give Surge a move he could never choose especially given how that battle played out in the anime
I do think this is why they did it. I wish he had good AI though, because it would be a lot harder to get past him with flying and water Pokémon. Would require planning, rather than just being able to win like in this video.
@@ScottsThoughtsPokemon they should have written special code for him like they did for Lorelei. Have him use good ai unless the player has pikachu out
"The horny fish does it!"
Yup... That's now scarred into my brain
Ay scott, every Friday I have 2 shifts at both my jobs and honestly these videos are my favourite thing to come home to. Usually I can't watch the premieres cause I'm at work or driving to work, but my motorbike has been in and out the shop costing me thousands over its life span, my bus drove past me and I'm gonna be massively late for my other job because of it, but this is low key a w because I can sit and watch you in my 2 hour journey home. You made a difference to my day homie, keep it up bro
Bro. I feel for you. Wish I could get you a beer or pat your back or something. Hope you got some people in your life that will do that for you.
@@AelfricBlack ay bro thank you, I got lots of good people around me sometimes life just deals you a tough hand, but thanks bro you're a real one I genuinely appreciate that
Keep working hard bossman- work for us who can’t due to injury or personal demons
Enjoy the vids buddy seriously
So sorry about all the misfortunes you had today. Things will only get better bro. Hang in there :)
That's a hell of a commute my man
I always loved Goldeen; it is such a pretty Pokemon for "just another fish", Seaking as well.
But it's the og "just another fish."
It's a unicorn fish. Not just another fish.
Then it’s just another unicorn-like Kanto Pokémon, akin to Seel.
I joke that Goldeen, which is called the water queen due to its tail billowing like a ball gown, evolves into sea-king, making it the first trans Pokemon.
You are a double edged sword. On the one hand I absolutely love your content. On the other hand, your content is SO good, that I now have trouble watching other... Similar channels, without naming anyone...
The way you strive for consistency, you interface, your scripts, your explaining. Your little quirks and jokes (no girlfriend/fiance reference in this one, or did I miss it..?). All of it is just so good that other big channels that might have inspired you have fallen behind. Anyway. I enjoy the fact that you do all först stage waters. Will you continue this theme with other elements? Also still waiting for a fire dogo comparison... ;)
First stage grass types next probably. Fire Dogos is coming…….. eventually.
those horn-drill moments felt like something from the anime xD really enjoy your content, man! thanks for all the entertainment and for the work you put into these! cheers
Thanks Victor! Glad you liked the horn drill moments.
I am happy to hear the new method for picking the rival's starter evolution. It is a natural advantage/disadvantage built into the game which you can use to find the fastest time for each pokemon. I like the idea of making the runs faster, not harder for these types of decisions. Like running/skipping mandatory fights rather than fighting them. Though the Red Gyarados fight might still be the exception.
That was a very fascinating run. Goldeen is a pretty forgettable Pokémon and it doesn't have the best stats or moves. It did surprisingly well and the second playthrough was pretty beneficial. Also I would love a gym leader tier list. I would love to see Scott's Thoughts on that (see what I did there?)
You're videos are a part of my TGIF, Scott! Love your laid back and in-depth approach to commentary and analysis to your solo playthroughs. I tend to play the audio though my car speakers (screen face down, of course) during my commute back from work.
I hope you are able to get some downtime and RnR in the midst of your busy playthrough schedules. You've been on a big roll and I hope you find more success and happiness in your RUclips/Pokémon journey.
Had a week long vacation! It was so nice. Now it’s back to the Pokémon grind! (And I love it!)
Hey Scott, I don't really comment on videos but I must say that I absolutely love your videos. Your voice is so calming and your jokes are good. Thank you for making such amazing content!
Can't wait for the updated 151 list (probably would take 2 years ahahah)
Please never stop doing what you're doing. Much love from Aus 🇦🇺❤️
Thanks so much! I really appreciate the compliments. Glad you’re enjoying my stuff so much!
I was waiting for this!! I Here’s hoping it’ll do well! I love the Goldeen line but unfortunately it’s been so overshadowed ever since Gen 1. It’s also one of the few Gen 1 lines to never receive a mega, regional variant, or any other gimmick - let alone a stat boost. :(
Hope it’ll get something in the near future to make it less forgotten.
It kind of have, even if it doesn't work well. Waterfall used to be its signature move, and as such it was the only Pokemon able to naturally learn an HM in Gen 2.
Also, it is perfectly able to counter its two weaknesses with Lightning Rod and Peck/Mega Horn.
Now Speaking has very bad stats, especially when compared to Goldeen, so it definitely would need something truly significant.
It feels like Goldeen could have been something truly special, but unfortunately it never was meant to be...
Lightning Rod was a gift truly, used LR Seaking in competitive occasionally and it caught many people off guard since no one seems to care enough about this line to know but it sadly wasn’t enough to help it shine. :/
Learning that waterfall was introduced in gen 1 ruined my day honestly. I'm just left at a complete and utter loss for words when presented with this information
58:00 Thank you for going over this here. I think this is a very important thing when discussing ranking solo pokemon playthroughs. As much as I enjoy Jrose's stuff, it does get tiring at times to hear him complain about how hard a fight is because he refuses to take the time to grind out a few extra levels, because that would impact his game time whereas retrying the fight dozens of times until he gets lucky won't. And frankly, real time is a better indication of the actual experience of doing the challenge, which is far more useful to people looking at such a list, which pokemon are easier or harder to actually do a solo run with. But if you go by in game time only, as you said you could get a run where every single enemy gets a 256 glitch miss and you never take damage and complete the game in the literally minimum time physically possible... by in game time. But it's not an accurate depiction of the average play experience.
This!
JRose is actually against trying to do that and resets if he feels a run was too lucky.
@@skeetermania3202 Except all the times he doesn't reset even if a win was due primarily to luck because he arbitrarily feels "Well this run is challenging so I'll take a win if I can get it". Yes, he occasionally will reset if he feels it's too lucky but those are few and far between.
There are MANY times when he refuses to just back out of the E4 and train because he uses game time instead of real time, and as I said watching him fail the same fights over and over again can get tedious. His methodology encourages this however, which is why I prefer real time metrics.
@@Shenaldrac Okay, it seems you’re a bit biased against JRose. Simply saying that his metric judging is worse because he uses game time doesn’t look at the whole story.
@@Shenaldrac Though that may also be based on his fixation on trying to reach minimum battles, which is consistent with his goal. However, he’s mostly withdrawn from that approach and does consider extra battles more.
It's crazy Goldeen learns no water moves until nearly level 40.. yay for TMs but still, no help for Brock or Mt. Moon, tunnels.
Great run! Love these videos and love that you listened to us about the timing of the commentary! So much smoother and it doesn't have each thing spoiled moments before they happen! So glad we have someone doing great videos and willing to listen to us!
Man I love your videos. I watched every single one of them and watched twice some. Great work!
This is gonna be super hard, (harder than Brock's Onix 7w7), but speaking of water types that aren't bad, when is that Swampert run coming? The Sceptile and Blaziken runs were super good, but I can't wait to see how Swampert will do.
pd: Also yeah, I'd like to see a ranking of all the gen 1 gym leaders. I think perhaps the rankings would differ between red/blue/yellow, so it's not possible to do one single tier list for all 3 games, there would have to be two different tier lists, one for red/blue and another one for yellow. But since yellow is the most played game on this channel, one single list for this game would be enough.
Swampert’s indefinitely delayed.
56:16
Scott: "Even a few resets here will result in a significantly better finish for this fish."
Me: "Ah yes, the significantly better fifish."
Lolol
I really enjoyed this one, you tried out some really interesting strategies in your testing, and that was very fun to watch :)
I love the production quality of your videos. The Goldeen slowly moving up and down at 58:14, as if hovering in water... What an amazing attention to detail!
Yup! Glad you saw it! Sometimes I think that no one is going to notice these little details.
Peck's japanese name, while also meaning "to pick", as birds do, also describes the general meaning of poking something. The german versions of Sword and Shield actually changed Peck's name (which up until SwSh was literally just "Beak" in german) to better reflect this. That's also what originally prompted me to look this up.
Goldeen is one of those mons I NEVER used. I actually quite like the color scheme, but the opportunity never presented itself.
I enjoy that after listening to your videos I basically have a degree in solo Pokemon challenges.
Soon we will all be Pokémon professors
Big fan Scott watched every episode from yellow. Nostalgic to watch it. You inspired me to do some challenges myself. Weedle was impossible for me to finish the game. Keep up the good work!
Yeah, Weedle is not good. It just have been painful!
I gotta say Scott, you've definetly become a pro on Gen1 mechanics. Using flash from the abra for a badgeboost into swift to sweep the gym is just *chefs kiss*.
Slowly I’ve accumulated a lot of knowledge because of the awesome people like you constantly giving me great advice!
Your production quality is fantastic. These videos are incredible
Thanks! Hopefully it will only. Get better from here!
Cool how you explain the little decisions in this one, really nice to see the thought process of Scottsthoughts ;)
That Supersonic Bide strat shows just how well you have mastered this game. Well done!
Thanks! It’s been quite the ride getting here.
Ur doing gods work scott. Thank you. Makes my fridays that much better
I really learn a lot when I watch these videos.
Man the production quality on your videos far surpasses most the others I watch. It’s exciting to watch you continue to improve!
Thanks Brandon! I’m working hard to make it all better (just not this week, taking a vacation at a lake!)
@@ScottsThoughtsPokemon well deserved! Enjoy some time off I’m sure we all would rather have you performing at your best after a nice break.
I'm glad Goldeen did well! It's one of my favourite 1st stage pokemon. I was hoping it wouldn't evolve after Oak, Goldeen is perfect on its own and Seaking... well it exists
Imagine beating a giant rock snake, an extra-terrestrial starfish, an electrokinetic rat, a sentient carnivorous plant, a carnivorous moth, a psychic fox with an IQ greater than any other being in existence, a pyrokinetic dog, a kaiju rock monster, the Loch Ness monster, a hiker, a ghost with phasing abilities, a dragon of myth and legend, and an electric fox with your pet goldfish. In less time than it takes to finish a typical day at school. I think Goldeen is in need of a regional form, or a type change or something because it's just lost in the myriad of average Water types.
Bro, I dont normally like this kind of content, but I will always play a new video every time it comes out. Keep up the fantastic work! Looking forward to a gen 2 Scyther video.
Thanks so much Nanakovitch! Glad you’re enjoy even though it isn’t your normal style of video.
Congratulations on your subs growing, This channel has being such a success.
Thanks Philip! I’m blown away by the support.
Bro i cant ring the chimeco after each vid, im gonna get arrested for fictional animal abuse. Also you unsere of deciding whether to say barely or rarely resulting in „bararely“ made me chuckle on my birthday, thanks scott :)
Watching one of your videos is Exactly how I wanna spend my Saturday morning 😌
Easy to see your evolution as a challenge runner when you say "I don't use recoil moves" when you used to obsess over Pokemon capable of learning Double-Edge. Watching mostly in release order provides fascinating insight into your growth as a Gen 1 player in particular, but your content in general as well. Nicely done.
Missed the launch, but I'm here to watch this little fish struggle.
What an exciting run! The strategies and tactics employed really show that you've started thinking far outside the box, it's not often I say "Oh wow! That's really smart!" while watching a Gen 1 playthrough.
I do love that Oak finally got his chance to shine. I was thinking that Exeggutor with only three moves was going to be another walk in the park, but with only three moves it is statistically more likely to choose Hypnosis, well-played Oak...
Yeah, sometimes less moves makes the Pokémon more challenging!
“It’s not cringe, it’s funny” words to live by if I’ve heard any. Also surprisingly good fish run! Sad it just evolves into a bigger fish though.
I remember as a kid, I never found the Waterfall HM and I ended up grinding a Seaking to learn waterfall to progress, in Gold. Lol
XD same i just picked it up and i made a rule where i couldnt use the net and i couldnt find it
Dayum
What up Scott. It's a year since I started watching you. I know because my kid is 1 and I started watching your videos when he was up in the night when he was first born. He is sleeping through now but I'm still watching your videos because it reminds me of being a kid playing my first Pokémon game. Keep doing what you're doing man 🤙
That’s so sweet. Glad he’s sleeping now!
I'm having Scott's withdrawal. Keep up the good work duder
New video tomorrow!
That bide confusion thing with the recoil adding to your bide damage is nuts. Great job giving that its own little segment. Share the wealth with the rest of the class!
Your production level has become insane!!
I'm glad your sub count is starting to tick up!
You deserve it all!
Congrats
Also, I forgot venemoth was electric type..it looks more like a steel, ground to me
I love your videos! You became my favourite poketuber since your beedrill video popped up at my frontpage as the video just came out
Thanks so much Andreas!
Nice call using Toxic. I was thinking that would be a good play against the Cloyster the entire time you were stalling during the first play through. Great video btw! I’m really enjoying these.
My immediate reaction is UH OH and my second reaction is to wish you best of luck, chum
Good luck with Krabby; it may have 100 base attack, but only has bubble until the mid 20s. It's special is 25.
You have earned my spot for the best Pokemon solo runner on YT, Jrose was my favorite for the longest but In my book you took the 1st spot, or you both share the same spot it doesn't really matter lol.
I love that you test each run and then do another play through.. Also Yellow is my fav game in 1st gen because since I didn't own a pokemon cartridge, It was the 1st game I had using emulation.
Also, the Bide tactic against Starmie was weird as hell & I love it 😂
I also like watching MDB as well.
@@foxbird123 he was the one who introduced me to this genre of videos, while he is not my current favorite I can't deny his input and I thank him for that and wish him the best
I came across jrose first, then mdb, then Scott. There's something about jrose that I don't always enjoy listening to him, but mdb and his group are fun, and Scott has a soothing voice that you can't not enjoy. Lol
Whoa, that a compliment.
I love when Bide is the answer!
@@foxbird123 What do you not like about JRose?
I've no idea how, but the Venomoth jokes never get old.
That fish looks wounded man. Really great art. :-D part of the Scott's thought experience.
I love that the Dark Lord, or the Dome Lord, always makes an appearance, no matter how small
No love for the Sap Lord - King Wings. Smh
Always
Thank you so much for making my Saturdays at work somewhat decent mate
You’re welcome :) thanks for commenting and making my day better!
Didn't think that Goldeen was slower as a SLOWpoke 😂 still a great run, keep up the good work ❤
PS. these bloopers made me laugh a lot 🤣
I never expected "YOLO" to go so well with OHKO moves with trash accuracy like Horn Drill
I find it hard to believe that Goldeen can’t learn body slam, but Gengar can. Anyways,I really liked this video. Keep making these videos, Scott. You’ll always have my support.
Thanks Mary. Yeah, Gengar learning Body Slam still bothers me
Man, the Selfdestructing Hiker is going to have a horrible summer. At least the (W)Rapping Lass is going to have a nice summer. Same with the Route 26 Lass, much to your stress level's disdain.
And I appreciate you using Bide! Or at least trying to; your original opinion wasn't all that far off because of just how hard it is to use, haha. But it did work in the second playthrough, and that's really nice to see. I love the shenanigans that stupid move has in gen 1.
Incredible strat for Sabrina! Very clever abuse of her Abra.
Man, Woody's Exeggutor just cleaned house. Poor Goldeen.
Establishing the Eevee line tier list is definitely a huge step
Hi Scott, I'm new to your channel but I absolutely love your content. I listen to your solo run videos everyday while driving to work and often watch the versus videos while on my lunch break. The versus videos are my favorite. It would mean alot to me if you did a versus video featuring Articuno. Articuno is my favorite pokemon. A fire and ice versus battle featuring Moltres or even a three way battle to include Zapdos would be Legendary... literally. Anyways, thank you for all the work you put out :) and I look forward to your next upload
You loose out a lot of training by glitching past Marowack as you don’t do rocket corner. Yellow has a big difference in levels mid game so it makes it harder on yourself imo. I know you mentioned in the video you enjoy playing it this way but it is a glitch. Love your videos either way.
It's boring
Yes its a glitch, but its not game breaking. In fact its even making it harder. Its just logical he skips it. Nobody wants to see that, at least I dont care about it.
It also takes like 5 minutes and when I do 14 playthroughs in some versus videos, that ends up being like 2 hours of time, more gb of footage, and more stuff to figure out how to nimbly skip in the script (because it’s really boring.) there are just so many reasons not to do it. Plus, using it as an optional area adds player choice which in my opinion only makes these more interesting.
1:01:44 when I was little I used to mix up Snorunt's name with Slowbro's. That kinda contributed to make Snorunt and Glalie my fav. Pokémon. Thanks for bringing back memories
Finally :-)
Had a really rough day.
Thank you man
You’re welcome :) sorry to hear about the day
It wasn't just the anime portraying Goldeen as useless. It was also Super Smash Brothers Melee, which had a huge effect on me as a kid.
Another banger! Thank you for being you
Holy cow, that Flash->Swift strategy is genius
Edit: Also I love seeing Bide finally come into play. I've always felt like it has a lot more potential than people give it credit for in challenge runs (although I've always been too lazy to test myself q-q)
I will be considering Bide way more now! Also yes, this strategy against Sabrina is so broken. Possible whenever you’ve got a boosting move and can learn swift!
Imagine if Lt. Surge actually had good AI and spammed Thunderbolt against your water types.. That would have probably made your water type summer challenge quite a nightmare.
That certainly would illustrate which water type best negated its weakness to electricity. Hmmm...poliwrath might not be too bad there.
Haha yeah, if Surge had good AI flying types would have an awful time too!
The Swift on Sabrina and Bode with Supersonic on Starmie are just awesome movesets
Goldeen pecks with its horn. The lips don't get involved at all. In almost every gen with move descriptions, Peck's description mentions horns.
Rhydon
The Substitute Doll appears in the Pokémon Stadium series, Colosseum, XD, and Battle Revolution in the same capacity it does in the core series. In the Stadium series, it more closely resembles a Rhydon.
I never really liked Goldeen and therefore never played it. Your improvement in the second run was impressive!
I'm loving the themed sub tier list for the water types!
Also haha the segment of the video devoted to improvements is more time than the improvements added to the run! I love it
You could also do the gym ranking inside of a less interesting challenge perhaps, but then, I imagine you have quite a bit to say, don't you
I can probably make a feature film ranking the gym leaders hahah. I seem incapable of making short videos.
You're a great writer. Probably the best amongst pokemon solo runners. Say hi to Dennis for me.
Thanks mike!
Awwww yeah live!! 4am here so first time haha, love ya vids dude~
A gym leader + Elite Four + Hiker tierlist where you're really sassy about them could be super fun!
In 25ish years (since pokemon red) I have NEVER used a goldeen/seaking. Thank you Scott for making me realize something about my self. Lol
Welcome ;)
So excited. Goldeen may be an underwhelming Pokémon, but I think this is exactly why this challenge is going to be interesting. Can't wait to see it! :)
It's actually surprisingly strong.
I suspect it'll be really useful against early Oddish.
I was surprised at the amount of tactics used Swift+Agility against another badge boosting foe, Supersonic+Bide,to deal with lacking an early moveset, Double-Edge against Raichu. All in all, I enjoyed the different tactics employed here.
Yeah this one felt different than usual.
Another awesome video! Thank you again! I'm already waiting for some more! =D
I Finished a Solo Scyther run on Leaf Green yesterday. Scyther moveset sucks but it's speed is awesome! It starts with... quick attack and leer... Brock was terrible to beat but thankfully i got pursuit at level 11 and at 16 i won against him. Misty wasn't easy too. Blane was a nightmare!! For some reason, when i was finally able to beat his team, his arcanine used take down instead of fire blast, hahahaha. Thanks to Swords Dance (the move that saved the run), Steel Wing (For Onix, Aerodactyl and Rhydon), Arial Ace (never saw this one missing and only loses in speed to quick attack) and... well... Slash (not that bad for a normal move on gen3), I was able to beat the elite 4 starting at lvl 61 and beating the champion at lvl 65, without saving between the battles. Lorelei's Dewgong gave me a lot of trouble with those ice moves but I was able to manage my way to the victory after a lot of tries. The first time i passed the Dewgong i was able to beat the hiker, i mean, Bruno (piece of cake), Aghata (easy with a little of luck because scyther didn't hit itself in confusion and snapped out of it in the second turn), Lance (for some weird reason he insisted to use Dragon Rage 3 times in a row with Gyarados and i could set 2 swords dance. That was enought to IK the dragonairs and aerodactyl but not the dragonite, thankfully it used safeguard instead of hyper beam, i still don't know why) and finally the champion (i was not sure if i would beat the pidgeot at first try because rival 6 was really anoying with it and after the bird, the fire dragon was waiting, hahahaha. Time 6:41 playing at normal speed (could be a lot better but for a first try it wasn't that bad). xD
I feel like you've been taking advantage of tms more of late. This run really showed the wide variety of options they offer if you're willing to think outside the box a bit.
Also I'm loving the extra testing you do after the first run. Really feels like a rigorous analysis.
Wow, poor Goldeen had to rely on not very affective stab, for both Exeggutors, that was really painful.😅,But you've managed to that (look on the bright side, at least you could attack every turn, that's something right?) and I'm really glad you could overcome all of Glodeen's obstacles in this run.
I really liked the use of rest and mimic for the elite four, that was brilliant. But I would have gone with toxic and agility and horn drill, and rest for the champion, and especially for the Oak fight. Because Goldeen's speed is kind of built for this kind of shenanigans, but I appreciate the fact that you've tried it in your first playthrough. 😊 Try to set up beforehand, because it can hit afterwards.
You've really turned the fast fish into the king of the sea😏, well done! 👏👏
And also it was kind of unexpected that Jolteon would be easier to face in the end, that's why it's always worth to try all of to face all of the rival's teams, even just for fun. 😁
Your bloopers were super funny, especially the whenever the words are marged together, it happens to me all the time, whenever I need to record. 😅And yeah it can be frustrating sometimes.
When I got introduced to the pokedoll glitch, kid me thought it was because the doll reminded Marowak of it's child, which was still alive. This was mostly due to the only "doll" sprite i can remember was the substitute, and the one Copycat has before you give it to her is also of the same sprite. Though I guess she also had the bird.
I only recall the pokedoll being showed as a Clefairy happening in the next generation, which people would use to argue....but then I'd throw out the whole "GameFreak has decided that the Multiverse exists in ORAS, and each old version of the games is basically its own universe--which is why we don't see megas before and later. So because it's not 'correct' in this generation's universe, doesn't mean it wasn't in the previous. Also, means that basically it can exist because once you multiverse, you can retcon anything to something else."
19:30
Goldeen: I ONLY HAVE 3 HIT POINTS *sobs uncontrollably*
It's problematic that HM moves can't be forgotten. If they could, you'd be able to go through the Lance battle with a move set of Blizzard, Mimic, Agility, and Rest, and then relearn Surf for the champion battle. As such, you'd need to use the weaker Waterfall to be able to go without the Water move in the Lance fight.
Erm Scott, you had the decision of what to remove for blizzard to beat Lance, but could you not have kept both agility and mimic by mimicing Ice beam?
Okay you noticed in the testing atleast alright cjcjc
14:38 - I can't be the only one who knew what he wanted to say
Can't wait to watch this masterpiece
Goldeen is one of those pokemon that I forget about.
Gym leader/elite 4/rival tierlist sounds pretty dope tbh
Eagerly awaiting the inevitable Magikarp playthrough ;)
Goldeen’s nickname is coincidentally extremely fitting in its own right, as Rachael Lilis (the voice of Jessie and Misty for the first 8 Seasons of the Pokémon English Dub) voiced Goldeen as well in those seasons.
Omg that’s amazing! Thanks for sharing that fact.
"It's time for the rapping Lass, and she's a BITSHocking" caught me off guard
Just a small thing, but if you are slower than your enemy turn one agility is allways better than attacking, since you will just move twice in a row and will have badge boosted in the progress
Smart.
Holding out for the Legendary bird vs video.
Articuno FTW
While you were talking about the rival's eeveelution, I realized that, despite the anime showing Misty has a Goldeen, she doesn't have one in Yellow. Weird. They put Jessie and James in, but not the Goldeen
Nor does she has one in LGPE, despite having a Psyduck in this one.
Actually, the *only* time she used a Pokemon of the Goldeen line (according to Bulbapedia) is during the Pokemon World Tournament in Black 2, where she has Seaking.
That's wild!
Goldeen fared simultaneously better and worse than I expected. I really wish it started with Bubble to help with the Brock split.
This video inspires confidence!
Yes, I would like to see you make a tier list of the gym leaders, it'd be fun to see your opinion on them.
Giving Cubone’s mother a pokédoll isn’t a bug, it’s how the game is supposed to be play. At least that was the rumour in my school, that’s how we all thought we had to do it with or without the silph scope. Guess we thought it’d comfort her more than knocking her out.
Goldeen has always felt under appreciated to me! They have such a good work out routine though! Swimming works so many different muscles and is super fun! I wish I could swim lol
