Is there a reason nobody makes the mew in cerulean lv 100? Now, I'm not sure if it works in yellow, but, if you growl at that gym trainer's shellder 6 times, the mew you encounter should be lv 1, put mew at the first slot of your party, get into a wild battle, instantly switch into your main pokemon and defeat the wild one, after that your mew should instantly grow to lv 100, the only downside is the mew can only learn moves through tms as it skipped every level, but mew can literally learn every tm and hm so it really isn't a problem
You could also completely bug out the game so that walking through a door teleports you to the hall of fame. Level 7 Mew is about the right level of "I want to have this advantage, but the all the work isn't done for me."
U could’ve used that one glitch where you switch from one Pokémon and finish with the other (the one that finishes is the one that needs evolution stone) eg Deal damage to a Pokémon with onix then switch into staryu and kill the Pokémon after the battle ends and if the Pokémon levels (staryu) up it will evolve into starmie

Take a shot whenever he says "I set up a Trainer Fly"
Those nicknames are hilarious! Nick Cage for Weedle (NOT THE BEEES! I LOVE MY EYES!!) LOL
Incredible guide man thank you!! After all these years I was finally able to complete it 😂
love this video, its become one of my new favourites :)
Amazing run :)
For the Koffing one , after I do the rock tunnel fly glitch , do I fight a channeler before I fight Team Rocket ? Or will fighting team rocket alone unlock the menu and allow me to talk to Fuji in the tower?
I'm not sure to be honest. I don't think I ever tested cutscene battles, and I simply fought the channeler.
Hello i'm trying to get tauros but i don't get how you used surf to get to the swimer with the glitch activated (can't open menu so i can't use surf)
Fight a trainer who walks towards you, then face that trainer you need surf to get to.
This was strangly cathartic.
Nice! Pretty cool that it's possible.
Is possible to get both gengar and nidoking right at the beginning or you can only choose 1?
That lil nL reference for Hitmonlee made me gasp in joy!
Thank you so so much for this video. Childhood dreams all just came true.
Also idk why but my snorelax near the bike route was missing after my koffing? Anyone else? Lol
I'm using original GBC and pkmn yellow and can't hit start button quick enough. Any suggestions?
Try moving and pressing start at the same time, that usually works for me
Don't try to time it as soon as you get in range, you can just buffer the input during the walk animation. Simply put: press the dpad and then immediately start holding the start button
Is this doable in the 3ds VC?
Just started on the 3ds. Got Gengar so far and seems to be working
do you have to follow an order or you can use these glitches only to catch unobtainable pokemon like magmar, ekans or mew??
Order is not required, but might be unavoidable for Pokémon with only one good Special Stat opportunity.
I liked the tomb Raider background music
This method comes in handy, when You only have copy of Pokemon Yellow on 3DS's Virtual Console, as I do.
I accidentally beat the trainer fly trainer on route 6 so are there other trainers I can set it up on to catch magmar?
If you open the maplink in the description you can see trainers in an orange box. Those are the trainers you can do the fly-glitch on. Also all the trainers show wich pokémon they can generate when doing the glitch so be sure to check it out.
hmm, how come some gengar go up to level 100 and yours did not? can someone explain please thank you =)
I did not use Growl or equivalent six times. You can do that on purpose to cause an experience underflow.
I.... I'm going to do this too now. Using this to find all the normally unattainable pokemon.
U could’ve used that one glitch where you switch from one Pokémon and finish with the other (the one that finishes is the one that needs evolution stone) eg
Deal damage to a Pokémon with onix then switch into staryu and kill the Pokémon after the battle ends and if the Pokémon levels (staryu) up it will evolve into starmie
That's one I've never heard before.
@@Carlitonsp1 Yh it’s one of them overlooked ones
Its also a great way to escape the cinnabar trap.
