So I have the replacement mesh grille and want to install it. The grille is used and the plastic trim that's along the edge is written and broken. Is that trim necessary? Or can I install without it?

What is that part called the one that holds the push pins on the top part mines broke so my bumper kinda sags a little and it leaves a gap between the bumper and hood so idk what they are called so I can buy them again
