Those G-Unit sneakers were HOT 20 years ago. Didn’t Reebok drop a mixtape that came in the shoe box with them and/or the S. Carter’s? Excellent video, my guy!
I love these videos dude, they're not too long and they don't take too much of my time! I get to be a sneakerhead and learn about the culture without spending hours doing my own research. Thank you!
It would be cool to see a video about skate shoes that defined 90s and 2000s skateboarding. I know y'all did a video on DC Shoes but it would definitely be cool to hear y'all talk more about skate shoes.
A bunch of metal kids back in the day used to rock high top Nikes almost exclusively too, even though "sneaker culture" and that world didn't blatantly have a symbiotic thing, it's still cool and interesting to see what different scenes tend to adopt. It would be interesting to find some guys from classic speed metal bands and such and talk to them about their Vandals and stuff.
I worked at foot action / foot locker from 2005-2008 and it was the greatest experience to have seen lots of sneakers release. Everyone went crazy for the g-unit sneakers lol good ole days
Them Iverson question lo's are so sick I got my first pair recently and the quality of the leather and overall craftsmanship is bananas. highly recommended.
I've ALWAYS made sure to have a nice pair of all white and all black AF1's every year since my teenage days in the mid 90's when friends and I started wearing them way BEFORE Nelly came out with that track.
Lugs ad was in every hiphop magazine, I remember K1X had their thing with Ron Artest and their stuff was pretty fine too. Still got the GXT IIIs in great conditions which I bought cuz I couldnt find a white based pair of af1s in seoul back then (they only had few pairs of af25 1s left) Still remember soulja boy's Yums rippin off Bapestas and later Rick Ross gettin his Watermelon cw.
Hey nacho. Love your vids. I grew up in London in the 80s and 90s and remember vividly the hot sneakers for a minute, between the OG Max 90's and reebok pump were British Knights and Troop. Did you guys have them n the US in the mid 90s ??
Yup late 90 and early 2000 was crazy - everyone had a shoe model, and peak of this trend was skate shoes. Litellary every single one of "pro skaters" had his own pro model...that was so sick back then.
@@NachoAverageFindsawesome! I remember back in a day how me and my fellow skaters wear different skateshoes and it was crazy, like "oh shit this dude wears Fallens bet he's hardcore" or "that homie got some éS so he's probably mellow and more hiphop kinda guy" :D and don't get me started on whiteass rastas-wannabies in iPaths :D man, what a times...
My favorite has always been Troop. Everyone had those back in the day. There was even a "Troop Boutique" by my house. I remember getting MC Hammer's autograph there.
Man I remember the doggy buiscuts lmao - I still have the s dot carters sitting in my closet- break them out like every 5 years lol - always get compliments when I wear them
Reebok ice cream board flip 1s are still today number 1 all time favorite show love the simple design with the premium suede T toe and huge soles so damn cool plus Pharrell Williams skateboard p days
Grew up wearing Phat Farm, G-Unit RBK sneakers, Nike Air Force 1s, Ice Cream Boardfilp RBK sneakers, Nike SB Dunks, Nike SB P-Rod. Then in high school Supra and Jordan’s
Daddy yankee sneakers did come out to the general public, i remember seeing them being sold in sneaker boutiques in Manhattan, the village had alot of exclusives that other stores didn't carry.
Great video! I’m actually lucky enough to own a pair of the Daddy Yankee soccer shoes. I think I read once that mine are the friends & family color way but I’m not entirely sure.

I can’t lie I brought those S.Carters 😂and them FILA’s I took the FILA’s back because I never wore them I wore the s.carters once or twice because they were fake Gucci’s 😭
Crazy how Reebok had AI, jay z, 50 cent not to mention it was the official NFL jerseys during that time too. and now it’s in Walmart and completely irrelevant
Semi hiphop related, the RapMetal/NuMetal band Korn have transition from Puma to Adidas deal,, they would rock pull on Adidas track suit and even have track A.D.I.D.A.S,,, this year they will release an anniversary collab with the three stripes😊
You forgot IceCream. The original IceCream boutiques where awesome. They had great prints. Super limited and came in IceCream carton looking shoe box. Still have my beepers and diamond and dollars. They were very soft and had an awesome bottom.
I was so supriced to learn that there was 2 dirty one versions. European one had holand colors rather than France on lace lock and the last was different

Great vid as always but surprised you didn't say anything about Ice Creams, Yums, or Kanye's Louis Vuitton shoes. Ice Creams were basically Pharrell's bapestas, Soulja boy pushed Yums heavy, and Kanye's LV Collab was basically the basis for what he ended up doing with Nike. Plus it was crazy a rapper was doing a luxury shoe deal as opposed to the typical sneaker Collab of the decade
I had those g unit shoes back in 2003/2004
they were so clean and felt really good
I remember my brother Nacho wanting a pair sooo bad
they need to retro those
All reeboks feel good the lifestyle kind the AI’s are a different story

They most likely did! The G unit sneakers sold well at first

It would be cool to see a video about skate shoes that defined 90s and 2000s skateboarding. I know y'all did a video on DC Shoes but it would definitely be cool to hear y'all talk more about skate shoes.
Absolutely bro. I want to do more skate shoes
remember when nike was considered “lame” from the skate community?

Daddy Yankee is from Puerto Rico not England which is what “across the the pond refers to”

It does mean the UK
