All food in Pakistan is amazing, just depends what youre in the mood for, sometimes I want bland salt only Pashtun bbq, sometimes I want something spicy from Karachi, or Nihari from lahore, of liver curry in Pindi, or cholay in Lahore... no one eats the same thing every day.
You go brother, love from Connecticut. I’m glad you are having a great time seeing my beautiful country. This really educated people in the US, especially the stereotypes. 👍👍
Love your videos, Brent. I commented on your first Peshawar video but I guess it dodn't go through. I would have loved to host you, but I have exams unfortunately, but there's a few gems in Peshawar you must not miss: 1. Right next to Khyber Charsi Tikka is University Tikka Hut. They have a dish called chicken angaara. Heavenly 2. Salman Bakers in Quaidabad. Right next to it is a place called Sun Sip. Amazing sodas. A 30 second walk from there, you'll find the best gol gappay in Peshawar. 3. In the heart of Peshawar khaar there's a place called Nisar Charsi. If you haven't eaten there, your Peshawar trip isn't complete. Nisar charsi is objectively better than khyber charsi. They cook their meats for the entire day, kind of like briskets in the US. 4. In University Town, there's a burger joint called The Chargrilled Burger or something like that. Best beef burgers in the city. That's pretty much it. i hope you enjoy the city I love
First of all welcome to the land of hospitality and thank you for exploring the beauty of Peshawar. You will find an amazing food in every street of Peshawar especially in namak mandi and Qissa khwani bazaar.
the meat in Pakistan is rarely refrigerated, it's going straight from slaughter to cooking within a couple hours max, usually less. that's why it's always tender in most places, once u put in the fridge, it goes hard and loses taste, that's what westerners are used to. fridges were a rare thing in Pakistan until recently. hopefully the meat market doesn't change, there's no space or market for corporations/mega supermarkets with long lasting everything.
You’re at my neck of the woods the lingo is Completely different to what you have heard at Islamabad this is Pakhtuns and they are very very generous and loyal to their friends and hosts
I have seen many vlogers video who came to Pakistan but I only like your videos I don't know why but I like the way you treat and talk to our Pakistani brothers Stay happy 💖 🥰 S
I am from Peshawar and here are two charsi restaurants one is Nisar charsi (the one people wanted u to go there) and the other is Khyber charsi (the one u r visitng). But in my opnion Khyber charsi is better, Nisar Charsi is just a hype. U made a right decision by going to this one😉
16:05 Technically "chars" (pronounced "churss" like the English word "curse") is not weed. It is a particular preparation of hashish that is unique to the northern Pakistan region, and is exponentially more potent than even the strongest weed.
we used to go to Charsi when no one knew him, in the early 90s, but his food was never the best, it was just novelty to go to a place called Charsi (Hashish lover) we used to smoke Hashish and drink beer, yes you can find it in Pakistan and go to Charsi, but you can go to pretty much any place thats been there a while and you wil get good food, its nothing special Charsi does... lol Please give those other places some love too... thanks.
Pashto love chapli kebabs 😂 Mmm. If you ever miss Chapli kebab there's plenty of Pakistani and Afghani restaurants in the US who serve that at their restaurants. :)

The oil you are talking about when dipping in nan is not vegetable oil but the oil which oozed out of the meat itself.

You should have gone to the actual restaurant called Nisar Charsi Tikka in Namak Mandi, Peshawar 😀
Khyber charsi is far better than the nisar charsi. Specially the sitting area and the environment.
