Pakistani Mcdonalds outlets are very consistently good. Ive eaten at one on top of a mountain and in a far away developing location and both maintained consistent standards. Always impressed by how they manage to just be good. Including the McCafé lineup.

I live in the west and I’ve been all around the world, the best McDonald’s I’ve ever had was in pakistan. It really is a luxurious option for Pakistanis and the meat products are of much higher quality.

@@guccindersingh2045 The Mcdonald Is not as good as Pakistan in India for the simple reason. In Pakistan, we have maintained the original ingredient that is Beef. In India, you have changed the menu and replaced it with Aloo Tikki and Chicken. The speciality of Mcdonald is Big Mac, not the chicken burger. In the middle east, you will find the original taste as well as the interior and external view.
You'd be crazy to eat mcdonalds in a country where the local food tastes so much better, cheaper and fresh. When in Pakistan, eat what the Pakistanis eat. Their food is also much healthier.

I live in Lahore and I've never seen a McDonald's here that looks anything like the local Indian one you went. All the McDonald's here are in good areas so they obviously maintain a modern feel and follow the standards that come with the name.

I am from India and went to Pakistan back in 2009, and to my surprise their Mcdonalds' menu had so many great things that I'd never expected of a Mcdonalds here in India. The one thing I cannot forget is the McFlurry they served back then with I guess what was cadbury gems on them. India began Mcflurry way much later. Nice video, Karl

I am from India. I was in Riyadh (Saudi) for a year. I use to explore food there. I tried almost all varieties. Pakistani restaurants are so generous that no restaurants can match them in serving "SALADS". They serve a plate full of SALAD. no matter what you order. And oh man, 1. Maghaz 2. Nihari 3. Paya ... They have mastered in non-veg recipes like anything Man. Hyderabadi(Indian) Restaurant in HARA still stand second place. Then goes romansia, Al-baik, MacD and stuff. I am not big fan of Kerala dishes but there is separate fan base for kerala food as well.
In india I have perception of Mcdonald being a cheap food outlet...and that's how the look and feel is.....I never thought Mcdonald can be like the one shown in Pakistan..

Pakistan has very classy built McDonald's, Pizza Hut and other franchises. The one at Karachi Airport even has a big Propeller Airplane model hanging on the ceiling.

heres my take on the “broken” ice cream machines, so my mom used to work a Wendy’s in America in the early 80s, she was told when they “ran out” or “fresh milk needed time to churn and freeze, to say it was broke, otherwise ppl sometime would get argumentative, and they have to keep the line going. The machines just can’t dispense ice cream 24/7. It’s impossible. I do however wished the fast food companies were more up on par to keep milk poured into the machine as soon as possible, though. Hope this helps everyone.👍
Haven’t been to either of these countries but from the first look, I think Pakistan looks a lot nicer. Very modern, same menu (but halal)...looks like you’re sitting in a Western chain...Not linked but you look a lot happier also, a little brighter in the face. The mosquitoes in McDonalds in India would terribly put me off.

Part of the reason why the meat in Pakistan tastes better is because of halaal process. Animals are not electrocuted to death or they might use very mild voltage to stun. They are slaughtered in a very quick, humane manner and usually hung up for blood to drain out.

Back in 2012, some of my Indian friends who lived in Canada with me agreed to visit Pakistan, they were very very impressed by everything, I encourage every Indian to visit Pakistan. During my friends visit no local food place agreed to charge us telling us they are our neighbour guests and we cannot take their money.

Being an Indian, in USA its quite difficult to choose from the menu when I visit a McDonalds. I think there are just two chicken option. Everything else is either pork or beef. So my go to places are usually Popeye's or Halal food.

I’ve been living in Australia for the past seven years and pretty accustomed to western taste now and occasionally visit these outlets when I’m overseas, believe me it’s the same taste. Even restaurant looks very similar to the Australian one.

Being an Indian, I would say that the quality of food chain is not upto the mark and they compromise on quality and service (unless newly launched) and then degrades with time. Price wise, I would say that it is not cheap but expensive. Karl finds them costing less because he is comparing the price with that of US or New Zealand. The best quality fast food and pork/beef burger I ever had was in a non-branded street food in Thailand. Best quality at the best price! Brings in more value add to your money and quality is top notch.

I went to a McDonalds in the state of Gujarat in India, the staff were scamming the customers by not honoring any of the promotions, because they make more money by charging for individual items. I have had my share of eating at McDonalds in Canada, never seen any scams like this. Disappointing experience really. The one Western brand whose local experience I actually enjoyed in India was Subways. They had better options than the one in Canada.

The fried chicken on the menu in Pakistan used to be in western McDonalds; it was called Mc Donald's Southern Fried Chicken, and was around in the 80s, until McNuggets came out.
They introduced fried chicken recently in Pakistan McDonald's like 1 or 2 years ago. And its not that good so probably not the same recipe as the southern fried chicken.

No one one wants to stay there but they are happy to make some money for a few years and then leave for Pakistan. I find our weather, food and culture a great deal better in Pakistan. Depends upon region too. 🇮🇳 has two different categories like west,south and other one north,east. The menu in both regions varies slightly along with the offers. I have never been to North,East branches though but have seen their menu on apps.Some burgers available here in w,s may not be in n,e and other way round. Also here in Pune ,there are 3 outlets just in 3km radius of my house. Imagine total no in city and Mumbai and other cities. Yes some outlets are well managed and elite but some are more of pickup type small ones.And yes while ordering always use their app offers 😂literally u get in half the price.

The Pakistani mcdo seems similar to the ones in Malaysia, menu and all.. I went to BK in Amritsar and had a whopper and a choco shake... The shake was awesome.. The whopper surprised me as the mutton patty was a little spicy.

In India, you have changed the menu and replaced it with Aloo Tikki and Chicken. The speciality of Mcdonald is Big Mac, not the chicken burger.

I am from India and went to Pakistan back in 2009, and to my surprise their Mcdonalds' menu had so many great things that I'd never expected of a Mcdonalds here in India. The one thing I cannot forget is the McFlurry they served back then with I guess what was cadbury gems on them. India began Mcflurry way much later. Nice video, Karl

I am from India. I was in Riyadh (Saudi) for a year. I use to explore food there. I tried almost all varieties. Pakistani restaurants are so generous that no restaurants can match them in serving "SALADS". They serve a plate full of SALAD. no matter what you order. And oh man, 1. Maghaz 2. Nihari 3. Paya ... They have mastered in non-veg recipes like anything Man. Hyderabadi(Indian) Restaurant in HARA still stand second place. Then goes romansia, Al-baik, MacD and stuff. I am not big fan of Kerala dishes but there is separate fan base for kerala food as well.

heres my take on the “broken” ice cream machines, so my mom used to work a Wendy’s in America in the early 80s, she was told when they “ran out” or “fresh milk needed time to churn and freeze, to say it was broke, otherwise ppl sometime would get argumentative, and they have to keep the line going. The machines just can’t dispense ice cream 24/7. It’s impossible. I do however wished the fast food companies were more up on par to keep milk poured into the machine as soon as possible, though. Hope this helps everyone.👍

Part of the reason why the meat in Pakistan tastes better is because of halaal process. Animals are not electrocuted to death or they might use very mild voltage to stun. They are slaughtered in a very quick, humane manner and usually hung up for blood to drain out.

Back in 2012, some of my Indian friends who lived in Canada with me agreed to visit Pakistan, they were very very impressed by everything, I encourage every Indian to visit Pakistan. Being an Indian, in USA its quite difficult to choose from the menu when I visit a McDonalds. I think there are just two chicken option. Everything else is either pork or beef. So my go to places are usually Popeye's or Halal food.

Here in Maharashtra India we have all the foreign food outlets and they are much better than what showed in the video.
I’ve been living in Australia for the past seven years and pretty accustomed to western taste now and occasionally visit these outlets when I’m overseas, believe me it’s the same taste. Even restaurant looks very similar to the Australian one.

Being an Indian, I would say that the quality of food chain is not upto the mark and they compromise on quality and service (unless newly launched) and then degrades with time. Price wise, I would say that it is not cheap but expensive. Karl finds them costing less because he is comparing the price with that of US or New Zealand.
The best quality fast food and pork/beef burger I ever had was in a non-branded street food in Thailand. Best quality at the best price! Brings in more value add to your money and quality is top notch.

I went to a McDonalds in the state of Gujarat in India, the staff were scamming the customers by not honoring any of the promotions, because they make more money by charging for individual items. I have had my share of eating at McDonalds in Canada, never seen any scams like this. Disappointing experience really. The one Western brand whose local experience I actually enjoyed in India was Subways. They had better options than the one in Canada.

The fried chicken on the menu in Pakistan used to be in western McDonalds; it was called Mc Donald's Southern Fried Chicken, and was around in the 80s, until McNuggets came out.
They introduced fried chicken recently in Pakistan McDonald's like 1 or 2 years ago. And its not that good so probably not the same recipe as the southern fried chicken.
@@cardude1992 They used to have a crumbing that we put over the chicken pieces which has herbs and spices in it - it was quite tasty. If the version in Pakistan does not have this tasty crumbing, I doubt it is the same version.

Abbottabad is one of my bucket list locations to visit as an avid hiker. The McDonald's employee definitely didn't steer you in the wrong direction. Beautiful mountains.

No one one wants to stay there but they are happy to make some money for a few years and then leave for Pakistan. I find our weather, food and culture a great deal better in Pakistan. Stick to the dessert and the phony environment of an artificial culture if you wish, but most of us would choose Pakistan hands down any time ! Cheers.

Depends upon region too. 🇮🇳 has two different categories like west,south and other one north,east. The menu in both regions varies slightly along with the offers. I have never been to North,East branches though but have seen their menu on apps.Some burgers available here in w,s may not be in n,e and other way round. Also here in Pune ,there are 3 outlets just in 3km radius of my house. Imagine total no in city and Mumbai and other cities. Yes some outlets are well managed and elite but some are more of pickup type small ones.And yes while ordering always use their app offers 😂literally u get in half the price.
