Sunfyre wasn’t just the most enduring and loyal dragon out there, he was also the bougiest prettiest dragon to every grace the earth. Golden and pink scales, such a slay 💅🏻
Sunfyre in terms of his accomplishments and dedication is unreal. He wasn’t the deadliest or the most powerful, but he absolutely never gave up on his master.
I’m not really an Aegon II fan but after reading F&B Sunfyre was the fucking GOAT and I loved the relationship between the two, I was super disappointed we didn’t get a good look him in the first season. Hoping he gets more screen time next season!
Agreed! One of my very few nitpicks about the first season was the lack of Sunfyre, though I do understand why they did it. There were so many important dragons already.
Same, they should’ve replaced the ridiculous Meleys scene in episode 9 with Aegon being coronated with Sunfyre. To not see Sunfyre the entire season is honestly just ridiculous from the writers.
it's true dreamfyre didn't do much but she's still one of my faves. she had great taste in riders (rhaena and helaena), she ate androw farman after he poisoned rhaena's harem. she's really pretty (pastel blue and silver) so i have a lil plush that looks like her on my bed. and i do believe dany's eggs were hers
I'm excited to see all of these Dragons make their names on the show. Especially Sunfyre and Tessarion. For another video idea you should do one ranking all the potential kings/queens/claimants of the iron throne: Aerys, Rhaegar, Viserys, Dany, Robert, Stannis, Renly, Joffrey, Myrcella, Tommen, Young Griff, Jon Snow, etc... could even do Robb Stark and the greyjoys since they were also technically claiming thrones of their own. Love your videos.
With ASOIAF series I was totally emotionless regarding dragons but on F&B Grrm really made me truly care about a dragon with Sunfyre. Maybe because it feels more like a character for own right, his own unbreakable tenaciousness maintains him alive and winning, all for helping his rider
Cool video. Maybe a ranking of each King’s Kingsguard next? I’ve never seen anybody do that. I imagine that #1 and #2 will have to be between Jahaerys and the Mad King, but idk much besides that.
That’d be an interesting ranking. Main issue I’d see there is the fact that the Kingsguard can change a LOT under any individual king, especially if their reign is super long. I think my next ranking type video is going to talk about Hands of the King!
Stormcloud criminally underrated on this list! Got Aegon III back unharmed while the dragon had a scorpion bolt through his neck and dozens of arrow wounds. Absolute boss lizard
Were you aware of the dragon Urrax, named by Tyrion recounting the tale of the great Ser Serwyn of the Mirror Shield, an Age of Heroes dragonslayer in Westeros? He & Haldon Halfmaester were familiar w/ the story. The fact that such an old story named the dragon a Valyrian-deity-sounding name makes me think it rings true: that Urrax really existed & that Serwyn slew him. The story was a folktale in Westeros long before the Targaryens conquered it, so I doubt “Urrax” is a retconned name amongst the Westerosi subjects. This has been my long-winded appeal for u to include Urrax the next time u re-upload a dragon tier list for all named dragons. Btw the Serwyn story is mentioned in ADWD
Balerion is head & shoulders above the rest. It's the finest war dragon known to Westeros, sure it's likely bigger dragons existed in Valyria but nothing is known about them. While Vhagar is estimated by the time of the Dance to be as big as Balerion during the Conquest, Vhagar (of a different breed of dragon, more akin to a hunting hound than a destrier) was visibly crippled by her massive size which allowed the smaller Caraxes to even the ods. Meanwhile Balerion was at his prime during the Conquest, and evidence suggests his decline afterwards was due to getting infested during a trip to what was left of Valyria, so it's not even sure if he actually died of old age. Balerion wouldn't have had any serious opposition in this list
I’d probbaly move a few of your picks around- especially syrax cause of her throwing her rider’s son off but still going to the dragon pit to kill the rioters. In the book it says she used only teeth and claws and I like to think it was rhaenyra’s rage influencing her. Regardless ABSOLUTELY agree with coraxes and sunfyre’s place ❤️
It was kind of asked, so I'll say that white flames are most commonly thought of as the hottest, buuuut it's not actually true. The hottest flames are violet in colour. The order is basically Red (600-800 C) < Orange (1100 C) < Yellow (1200 C) < White (1300-1500 C) < Blue (1400- 1650 C) < Indigo (just under 1650 C) < Violet (over 1650 C). Green just isn't part of the order because its tone is decided by the chemicals that fuel it rather than the temperature. If the fire's burning copper or barium, it'll burn green regardless of heat.
My favourite Dragon was Balerion, because I love his name “the black dread” and he was the largest ever and obviously he was entirely black which I love, but a very close second would be Vermithor because he went out like an absolute champ fighting every dragon and soldier around him, but of the 3 current dragons Viserion is my favourite because of his name and colours
Man, we have all the same favorites (Even though my GOAT is The Cannibal!) Only comment is that Dreamfyre should be higher because of her connection to Rhaena!
Morning was the last dragon to be ridden IIRC. Fewer dragons hatched post-dance, and the ones that did were stunted or malformed. The last dragon was extremely small and died young, it’s mentioned in Dunk and Egg.
To not have Balerion as an S tier is the stupidest theory u have...Caraxes yes agree but Balerion would kill every dragon in this list with ease Biggest baddest dragon that ever lived
you should point out in the intro there's absolutely no objective criteria in the making of this list. you just randomly assigned tiers and most are based on whether you like them or not, whatever the reason
Not putting Balerion in S tier is certainly a choice...also, unpopular opinion but I think Sunfyre is kind of overrated. The circumstances for his (her? not sure) dragon kills are kind of skewed (one is much smaller, one is almost completely due to another dragon coming in last minute and that dragon just happens to be Vhagar)
HAHAHAHAH no way I actually made this tier list a few months back, and lo and behold one of my favourite ASOIAF tubers uses it for themselves!
Oh wow! Thank you for making this tier list! I’m excited to see what you think of my rankings.
Sunfyre wasn’t just the most enduring and loyal dragon out there, he was also the bougiest prettiest dragon to every grace the earth. Golden and pink scales, such a slay 💅🏻
Also the only dragon with a character arc and the highest record of killing dragons along Vhagar on Asoiaf History 💅
Greepilled af.
Chadfyre
Great looking dragon yes! Weak as he'll as a fighter never saw stuff all battle until he got ripped up
Not even A tier more like C

Kinda loved how they were both wounded, Aegon II from his injuries and Sunfyre from the multiple attacks done to her/him.

Entirely fair! If this were a tier list based on how much I liked a dragon's riders, Dreamfyre would be an A tier or higher.
SUNFYRE IS THE GOAT🐐🐐
I'm excited to see all of these Dragons make their names on the show. Especially Sunfyre and Tessarion. I would like to see you make a vid on the best hand of the kings in westeros. Id like to see your thoughts on Roggar Baratheon
I love Rogar, that’d be a fantastic topic for a video!
Caraxes (The Blood Wrym) all the way!!
With ASOIAF series I was totally emotionless regarding dragons but on F&B Grrm really made me truly care about a dragon with Sunfyre. Maybe because it feels more like a character for own right, his own unbreakable tenaciousness maintains him alive and winning, all for helping his rider

Greens dragons are so much better overall then Blacks dragons is not even fair. Tessarion ❤
Sunfyreeeee 💚💛💚💛
the quinn is back baby

7:28 This is gotta be one of the butterfly effects george talks about in the books , Cannibal being cut
Balerion the Black Cat is S-Tier.
Goatfyre is so goated, I had to edit a Minecraft mods textures to match his. Actual beast.
Common chadfyre W
Wow, your rankings are so different to mine!
Morning is my favorite dragon only because of its coloring. Its pink and black. I ended up painting a dragon mini like it and its cool
The voice change for "hey buddy" is the best part of this video. Sorry, I don't make the rules.
Love hearing that even teachers procrastinate writing lessons, that makes me feel not so bad for when I procrastinate writing essays for college haha

Another banger
My goal is all bangers, all the time
Tessarion is also my favorite! 💙 super underrated
Blue is the hottest of fires, not white. White dwarfs are dying stars, blue stars are the brightest and hottest.
Even more reason to love Tessarion!
DRAGONS!!!!
I agree.
Stormcloud needs to be higher! One of the most heroic dragons, considering the circumstances.
Maybe I’ve got a bit of lingering resentment because Stormcloud couldn’t save Viserys too lol
Hell Yeah Dragons 🔥🔥🔥
I’d probbaly move a few of your picks around- especially syrax cause of her throwing her rider’s son off but still going to the dragon pit to kill the rioters. Nah she just lacked IQ and Battle IQ 😂😂

My gorgeous noodle-necked boy Caraxes is the GOAT. I haven’t read F&B but I can’t wait to see Sunfyre next season
Vermithor is my favorite dragon
You missed Urrax. Killed by serwyn of the mirror shield
Isn't Drogon named after Khal Drogo??
Drogon is just Dragon with another o instead of an a. But I think it’s hilarious. 😂😂
Actually it is named after Daenerys's (dead) husband Khal Drogo.
@@Tarushnegi yea but he's talking about Gourge naming a dragon drogon is funny
Terrax is Jaenara Balaerys' dragon. But Tyraxes is joffrey Valerion's dragon.
Man, we have all the same favorites (Even though my GOAT is The Cannibal!) Only comment is that Dreamfyre should be higher because of her connection to Rhaena!
if not for hugh the hammer, vermithor would have been S tier for me
Agreed. Also Vermithor killed my favorite dragon.
Tyraxes Is Joffrey Velaryon's dragon.
Caraxes always best boy but I'm a Daemon fan so I'm biased
Caraxes is my favorite.
Viserion is easily my favorite
How can Balerion not be S tier?
Ok, I know this dragon is one of the least known dragon like terrax, valryon, essovies, ghiscar, archonei but where is Urrax???
CARAXES NUMBER 1
How the fuck does balerion only get a tier?
Not Morning was the last dragon?
Morning was the last dragon to be ridden IIRC. Fewer dragons hatched post-dance, and the ones that did were stunted or malformed. The last dragon was extremely small and died young, it’s mentioned in Dunk and Egg.
I thing the Drogon thing is Drogon the Dragon sounds kinda dumb
To not have Balerion as an S tier is the stupidest theory u have...Caraxes yes agree but Balerion would kill every dragon in this list with ease
Biggest baddest dragon that ever lived
Caraxes slander
Stormcloud handled it like a champ rip
you should point out in the intro there's absolutely no objective criteria in the making of this list. you just randomly assigned tiers and most are based on whether you like them or not, whatever the reason
Yeah I’m ranking them based on how much I like them
I like caraxes vermax vermithor ;]
Caraxes vs Vhagar
Sunfyre only survived because they 2 v 1 Meleys
War is not fair , you can't blame Aegon & Aemond
Not putting Balerion in S tier is certainly a choice...also, unpopular opinion but I think Sunfyre is kind of overrated. The circumstances for his (her? not sure) dragon kills are kind of skewed (one is much smaller, one is almost completely due to another dragon coming in last minute and that dragon just happens to be Vhagar)
It's truly an unpopular opinion . Sunfyre is most likely the 2nd fan favourite dragon after Caraxes of course
