All of my best NES and SNES games got sold in college to support my then girlfriend. Then I found out she was cheating on me.
Oh no! I'm so sorry to hear that!
I see the Hudson Soft Bee in Princess Tomato. I always love a good cameo.
Yep! Looking as goofy as always lol.
I have several. Mighty Final Fight, Zelda (Sealed), Bucky O'Hare boxed, Chiller boxed, Donkey Kong Math, and many others. I have over 650+ NES games and the entire 721 North American list of the SNES, 296 N64 games, 1,275 complete Wii list and 165 complete Wii U list of games. However, I only have 160+ Gamecube games.
In total, I have 44 complete console libraries, including the XBOX, Dreamcast, CD-i, Atari Jaguar, Jaguar CD, Fairchild, and many more.
So for me it's just the action max, and I'm 1 game away from the microvision.
I collected back when it was just starting to get expensive. Out of these, I have DK Jr Math and Jetsons, the latter with its box. I also have a couple Playchoice-10 machines and a Sharp NES TV.
My most expensive NES game is Gargoyle's Quest 2. Excellent series.
For SNES I have some that are more expensive like Dracula X or Wild Guns, but my days of shelling out over $2-300 on games is over. I own the entire NA Castlevania collection. I'm officially good. Most I bought as they came out from GBA on but some entries in that series were stupidly expensive.
For me it's a CIB FF 3. I have a few cib super famicom stuff. But it's cheap.
I picked up ducktales 2 and chip n dale 2 together with custom plastic cases for like $350 back in 2018. Sounds like you’re telling me that was a smart decision. 😁
Oh wow! Nailed it!
No idea how expensive it is but the rarest NES game I have is a blue Chiller cart. From what I understand gray was the standard cart color for Chiller.
It is a very rare game! But I don't know about the blue cart. HEB released a black cart as well.
i do like the map screen of Cip N Dale. it was nice being able to pick what stage you wanted to go through
Absolutely!
TMNT Tournament Fighter set me back about $60 10 years ago. Thought that was a lot!
In some ways it still is lmao
one of the benefits of being primarily a brawler and shooter fan is that you don't have any desire to own any of these expensive nes platformers.
This is very true haha.
DuckTales 2 music pales to the original.
Absolutely, the one track I used for this one though, it's a good song.
I went and uploaded all my favorite NES games on 3DS back when Nintendo still had the EShop service at about 5.00 a upload it was the cheaper alternative.
Worth it!
Got a Cowboy Kid on the way and it will definitely be my most expensive even paying half for it. They key to getting cheaper high end games is to not care about the condition.
Totally agree. I don't see the purpose of a sealed game and some of my friends do. As long as it's the native rom board, I'm 100% fine with damaged lables.
With you holding Super Mario Bros. 3 in the video icon; I'd be more likely to purchase one of those hangable wall posters of the North American front box art. One of my big favorites when it comes to North American box arts.
Then, later on have physical copies of both the Super Mario All-Stars version and re-purchase Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros 3 (although for the later I do have the digital Wii U virtual console version with the e-reader levels).
That would be cool! It's such a good box! Castlevania does as well!
You're right, every one of these games is worth owning, be they original or repro.
Duck Tales 2, Gun Nac, Princess Tomato, Zombie Nation, and Donkey Kong Jr Math are some of my absolute favorites.
Now just wait for the impractical list next week haha.
Speaking of Bubble Bobble; Classic for the GBC also visually looks quite good.
Absolutely!
Just acquired Gun Nac! Pretty sweet game! :)
Does it play a lot like Zanac?
@@Fortefyre I actually think that it plays more like Power Strike (which I also have). :)
Duck Tales 2 was one of the games I had to sell that I told you about, and I remember renting princess tomato and getting bullied about it.
That sucks moo, nobody should ever get bullied for playing a certain game.
@@Fortefyre what can I say, some kids are cruel. I thought it was a solid rpg myself.
@@m0ocow_love783 I was young and stupid. Once the craze of used video game/movie stores hit and my town had one, I traded a bunch of games I wish I still had. I have gotten some back as an adult, but only loose. I had them CIB and was just too stupid to realize what I was doing. Take comfort in the fact it sounds like you had to sell your game, and weren't stupid and willingly let it go like I did for some.
The most expensive one in my collection it TMNT 2 The Arcade Game CIB, but that is child's play compared to the ones of this list price wise.
For me, NES wise, I think it's Mega Man 1 loose. Which is even more child's play lol
Wish I played these when I was younger...
Same! My dad collected star wars and passed on video games.
Learned something today... I didn't know there were sequels to Duck Tails and Chip & Dale's RR.
I'm glad to have contributed to that knowledge!
Had a lot of fun with this one! Most expensive game I own isn't NES: it's SNES. Mega Man X3 complete in box. Bought it used over 2 decades ago for about 60 or 70 dollars.
For me, it's on the Action Max, Blue Thunder haha.
My most expensive games are Gargoyle’s Quest 2 and Color a Dinosaur. That later one I bought specifically to have signed by Tommy Tallarico in 2014.
And that's the last time you touched it haha.
@@Fortefyre Yeah, Color a Dinosaur was put into storage, but I may get a case for it. Gargoyle's Quest 2, I'll play when I have my system hooked up. It's a fantastic game.
How about a list of the unlicensed NES games? 👀
I'll add it to the list ;)
Bucky O Hare should be mentioned, thats a pricey game that is universally loved
It is! But it didn't cut the threshold this time around!
Most expensive NES game in my collection? I was gonna say my loose copy of Rockin' Kats, but I have a trio of CiB games given to me a while back that are in the $250 range: Darkwing Duck, Gargoyle's Quest II and C*****v**** III
I enjoyed the crap out of Mario is Missing
I did as well lol.
Didn't have any of those games, but according to one price guide, Metalstorm, loose, is worth a nice amount. Not that I would sell it at this point, but it's something to keep i mind.
I've actually been watching to see what it does, I'd like to add it to my collection.
Its several decades old. Time to emulate
Haha facts!
I have all 4 Dragon Warrior games on NES, loose. Fun damn games
Same! Although II makes me want to pull my hair out late game.
I only have Dragon Warrior 1 for the NES, I believe I have another 2 on the Super Famicom.
THE GRINDING THO.
I bet a cib donkey kong math is so rare. Kids were probably pissed when their parents gave that to them for christmas or their birthday
It's a $2,000+ game complete:P
Good job 😀🤘🏼
Thank you!
it looks to me that the Jetson game for the NES has the same gameplay mechanics as Chip N Dale
For the most part yeah.
Those are definitely carrots.
*sweats profusely*
Thanks for keeping my love for the NES alive through your videos :) I've been collecting for about 10 years and currently only missing Flintstones - Dino Peak. And Stadium Events ofc :)
Oh wow! You're crushing it! I hope one day you can finish that, it's definitely a feat!
Loose price my best game is probably Dragon Warrior 4 currently around $121 according to Price Charting. I have Dragon Warrior 3 CIB which goes for a good chunk of dough (but really, am I going to sell it)? I still have Metroid CIB which I got FREE back in '86 or so (SMB didn't come with my NES), so they let me choose a free game. I heavily regret selling my copy of Ninja Gaiden 3, I still have the box and manual, but no game 😮
I haven't even bothered to see what I own that would be considered valuable.
Just buy Little Samson CIB and be done with it. LOL.
Right!?
Over Horizon is a Zapper game? That’s a shmup. Are you sure that you aren’t thinking of To The Earth? That’s a Zapper game.
Ah damn. You're right! I got my names mixed up!
Yeah so practical. Games you spend tons of money again, beat and will never really play it again lol
That's basically my thought process haha. I emulate anything over $400, because it's just not feasible.
@@Fortefyre I hear ya. I mean for anything that old, I'm probably just gonna emulate anyways. Like, yeah owning something like battletoads and playing legit would be fun but I'm not gonna play that without save states. Or something like mother 1. I could play that on switch right now but I really want the speed up option for grinding at maleficent.
I'm in that same boat for alot of the 2nd generation stuff, because hardware and software is failing, and that's the obsolescence of the times lol.
@@Fortefyre there is that. but also its not common to see like the Atari 2600 or the C64 out in the wild
Nes games aren't worth a red cent, complete buffoonery among these collectors.
I love how this comment was made on three different videos haha.
