There is something in his playing style that makes him different from the rest of Ustads/Pandits. I can't explain further, you just have to listen and feel it yourself.

Hi Jagdish. I agree with your view about "something in his playing" I saw him live here in Arizona with sitarist kushal das. Panditji played amazing bols when given chance to take solo. Very unique sounding. Only draw back was that he looked very very bored most of the time and was checking his watch frequently even while playing accompaniment
