Man you absolutely nailed it with your analysis. No other reaction I've come across captures the emotional complexity of the song and its relation to the video. Most see it as a disconnected montage of garbage and are left feeling lost or distracted by the video.

I've heard some other reactors dislike the video due to the sounds interfering with the music and such- But to me, it honestly makes it so much more... Real and emotional. This song will always be a masterpiece in my eyes.
Parts when the person sits there in the middle of the chaos, make me think of the time when your realization hits in. The pain you hold won't go away just by destroying yourself and everything around you, the loneliness despite being around your friends is the hardest to get over. But the worst part about being deeply hurt is when you can't grasp your mind around your feelings and just start to collapse under their weight. Losing control over your body in a sense.
@@TheToaster1155 It really is one of those things where it's a lot harder to understand unless you've experienced it. You see people doing dumb stuff and unless you have been in the position you don't even take the time to try understanding why they act the way they do.
don't apologise for tearing up, this is the best reaction video i've seen for the song.

I’ve been going from video to video trying to find one person who gets what the video is trying to accomplish, and you nailed it man. You’re absolutely right to get as emotional as you did in this video, the story being presented is genuinely heartbreaking. That shot of the dude in the yellow just in the fetal position with his hands over his ears just reads like a scared child crying for help in a world that’s become to much.
I agree, ppl who have been through this got the connection between the song and the music video immediately, I can see this guy experienced something similar.

@@TheToaster1155 I don't feel like anyone ever gets over anything entirely. It all becomes part of you. The medicine to this is all about how you treat yourself and others despite the trauma. We can all slip into the darkness of our worst moments. I hope you are doing better to.
Finally someone that fucking understands it.. You do all that crazy shit, trying to forget about the heartbreak, while just fucking yourself up more.. But you don't care that you do, because it hurts less than the heartbreak.. You stop caring, you start "living", while you just destroy yourself by doing so.. You try to fit in with the chaos, but you start to wonder "Why am I doing this to myself? Wtf do I have to do to feel happy if even all of this doesn't?"

I always cry to this song, it’s hard to not get emotional. I feel his interpretation makes this song even more painful.
Thank you for reacting to that piece of art. For me, Glimpse of Us really came out at the moment where I was feeping the worst in my life. Last year, 2022, was the worst year in my life. She broke up with me in March 2022.. and then in May she decided to start another relation, in April her mom died and in June my aunt died.. I was broken, I was hopeles and just empty. Time passed, rn 2023 is a lot better than last year..
I know how to control my feelings rn towards her, we are friends, but still.. deep down I miss her.. still.. I love her.
Glimpse of us fo me is really the perfect example of what is going on inside you when you lost your love..

Haha- No no 😅 It's just a spare guest bedroom, so the bed isn't made up, and our house is made of brick. I've recently added some bedding, so hopefully that helps. Thanks for the comment 😅
what i really think is, him with the boys were his past. looking at him now living a different life, he missed those days with the boys and us viewers. he thinks his life now is perfect but he's still seeing glimpses of us. or maybe i'm wrong.

Interesting to see you feel kinda similarly about the song. It always makes me emotional. Reminds of my own past from back when a near 5 year relationship of mine ended.
Better off now. Stopped doing most drugs and have an okay job. Things still aren't perfect but.. better. A few years tends to make things better.
One artist I could recommend a listen to is Jack Kays. Specifically, the When It's All Over album
I suppose break ups are just part of life... and they can be painful. Fortunately I am better now, but at the time, I regret the way I acted to cope with the sadness and lonliness. So the video really reminds me of the stuff that I did to forget (Definitely not as extreme as the stuff they did though haha).

@TheToaster we did some pretty dangerous and stupid things.. more destruction of property and self harm rather than others thankfully. But "time heals all wounds" and all that. I was in my early 20's then.
If you do end up giving jack a few listens try to do it with the live videos from the desert on his RUclips channel.
