I'm a 64 year old woman who happened upon V's Tiny Desk performance late last year. That was my first introduction to him and I LOVE his music, his vibe, his voice. I'm now a big fan, and because of him, I have started listening to and watching BTS videos, as well as stories about their lives. I adore these young men (although I may be too old to be considered in BTS ARMY. 😊)

Tae doesn’t perform, he breathes and lives for music. He has shared some of his playlists and the range he loves is extreme. Bing Crosby, Procol Harum, Ella James, being a few. He is a total pure artist. He also loves to share his love and does so with enthusiasm which he shares with the people working with him. It’s a joy to watch him and them.💜

Kim Taehyung aka V is seriously a breath of fresh air in not just Kpop, but all of music. To see a young guy in 2023/24 absolutely love R&B and Jazz and the classics, when he could do any genre he wanted to and write his own ticket, is incredible. And his skills are beautiful as a baritone with that tenor range
Just wanted to give you some info about the Sax player. His name is Jacob Scesney. He's a multi-Grammy winning woodwind specialist with over 50 chart-topping performance credits. Tae really got the best to work with him.
When Tae was on Suga's show Suchwita, Suga said that Tae is most musically ambitious among them, that he listens so much music, and Tae confirmed that he listens new music every day Btw,there is another live performance where at the end is a bit where V plays small tune on saxophone

The best singer I have found in my life in the last ten years is V. Good voice, good face, beautiful movements, great ear for music, beautiful writings, and most importantly, his very beautiful and valuable morals. V is my inspiration in my life. . Seeing him every day puts a relaxing smile on my lips. Seeing his works, I am proud to see kindness, beauty, purity and love in this bad world. God's precious gift is in my life. It is very important that someone can make such a positive and good impact in your life
Taehyung is a real artist that didn’t sell his soul for billboard hits. It’s so rare to have an artist in his position that still holds on to his musical integrity and declines to follow trends. Taehyung is the full package and paving his own way.

He has one of the most versatile vocal tones and effects like his growling. RM has said that V can sing any genre, he is that versatile. You're going to love the tiny desk. V is a musicians musician. He gives time to the band to have their moment to shine. As he loves jazz and classical music this performance was what he envisioned when doing his album.
Yes this needs to be the NEXT review - LE JAZZ DE V, along with a Quick Look of him first showing us “I’ll Be Home for Christmas” very laid back and cute That being said, all TIny Desk performances are noteworthy, the one w/RM as well as the one with BTS also. A showcase for true musicians.

This is V! When they were in Las Vegas for the two week, 4 night concert, one night he went to a jazz club and danced by himself. The only other people there were couples dancing who were in their 50s, 60s. To continue, don't know who was recording him on their phone but as he turned around and realized he was being recorded, his manner changed a little from embarrassment but then he was, what the fk, and kept dancing until the song was over. He has the cutest moves ever!

V is a musician’s musician. He always appreciates those he works with. He always sounds good live. For this the album, his promotions were ALL live. And every time he sounded so good and consistent check out his live version of Blue. He also did a live performance of Slow Dancing on a Japanese show called One Take where there is only one chance no retakes. Out all of the vocal line, he listens to the widest range of music. RM and the rap line gave each of the maknae line a USB full of music when they first formed a group telling them they needed to understand music. V took that to heart.
💯 All V's live performances are so good, like not only his vocals but also the way he performs; it's so worth watching. It'd be a shame to miss out ngl.

His voice is like putting raw honey in a smoker. It’s insane! He mentioned on suchwita (Suga’s show) that he created this album for intimate performances. As a debut solo artist he didn’t want to do anything grand for his promotion performances. We all know he could’ve taken that route but my guy just wanted to sing to us in our living room as if he was there. I love him for that.
Tae is about music... There is music in him.. It's not about trends, charts public opinion. He wants to do music. He took a huge leap of faith with this album. He wanted to do this for a long time. And he made sure there were many live performances. He also took a huge risk to buck the company's trajectory. He never was a yes man. The whole. Album means something. Makes you feel because it's about the.music the vocals the emotions. You feel it. Btw about the girl. It's not an issue. There are interpretations of Layover is about himself and finding happiness and creating that in Slow dancing. Please watch the band versions of Slow dancing where V plays the sax a bit and Love me again. It's live it's chilled and again you see the way he embodies his music. It's not contrived. Thank you for really taking the time out and appreciating Tae as the incredibly talented artist that he is. Whether it is his solo stage or the group stage Tae is a magnetic performer that can captivate you with just one line in a song. I truly loved that he was able to show off his vocals in Layover and am very proud that he put together a cohesive no skip album... and even more proud that he had a ton of LIVE performances to back up the fact that he can sing! I really love how he stepped outside of the cookie cutter pop and put out the music that he wanted to make and his album hasnt left my playlist since it came out. You are so right when you say his voice is soothing. There are live performances for all his songs.... but i really hope you check out Le Jazz de V. Since you are really into V and RM right now they do have a collab song called 4oclock which is so good... and V did say he wanted to do a cover of come back to me one day and i am sure that is going to be amazing if he does.
Funny thing is that every live performance has just smth a bit different in terms of vibe. Esp For Us. He had a couple of live performances and the vibe is a bit diff in each. I love how his voice is the same but the vibe is diff depending on the performance. I love your reaction to Tae so much. V is an exceptional artist in the truest sense of the word. , he is unique musician in his voice and presence on stage and in his beautiful, attractive personality. , and the beautiful thing is that he can color the layers of his voice in one song... Taehyung is just heavenly. Everything about him is smooth and warm! You should check Jazz de V and if you want something more pop-ish and different check Inner Child
The interesting thing is that every BTS member did promotion for their solos a little differently. They tailored their it to fit their personalities and styles. V didn’t do a lot of variety/talk shows (he did a few) but he did Tiny Desk, and a very unique promotion in a smaller area of Korea where he did :20 live performances for random people who came to club after being invited. They would pay a small amount, sit in the club facing a curtain, the curtain would open and V would sing for 20 seconds. People were freaking out and slightly confused. It was amazing and very V. (The video on RUclips on the Bangtan channel). Both V and RM kept their promotions very intimate, while Jimin and JK went big with talk shows and videos. Suga and J-Hope are both performance focused with Suga doing a whole tour and J-Hope headlining Lalapalooza. It really showcases their talents.
Exactly!! Tae chose to be a real singer and musician, 100% organic where real music is shown as the greatest treasure of art. Tae no need digital arrangements or voice modifications to fit in.His unique voice is his best instrument and his amazing presence is his best stage. He himself is the whole package, sincere, unique and real. I enjoy feeling his mood in every song that he performs, the vibe that It conveys that it sends you into a whirlwind of emotions, you can laugh, you can cry, you can live through his voice, his emotions. For me, that, that's music, the real music😊

the way tae just lets the music breathe, and is just so excited to celebrate music, and musicians means so much to me. the chemistry that exists between the band in this video is so wonderful to watch, and I hope tae is able to bring them back together for future performances of any other solo work he does. layover and rpwp are my favourite projects to come out of chapter 2 by faaaar so I'm so happy you're enjoying them too :)

This is V! When they were in Las Vegas for the two week, 4 night concert, one night he went to a jazz club and danced by himself. The only other people there were couples dancing who were in their 50s, 60s. To continue, don't know who was recording him on their phone but as he turned around and realized he was being recorded, his manner changed a little from embarrassment but then he was, what the fk, and kept dancing until the song was over. He has the cutest moves ever!

V is a musician’s musician. He always appreciates those he works with. He always sounds good live. For this the album, his promotions were ALL live. And every time he sounded so good and consistent check out his live version of Blue. He also did a live performance of Slow Dancing on a Japanese show called One Take where there is only one chance no retakes. Out all of the vocal line, he listens to the widest range of music. RM and the rap line gave each of the maknae line a USB full of music when they first formed a group telling them they needed to understand music. V took that to heart.
💯 All V's live performances are so good, like not only his vocals but also the way he performs; it's so worth watching. It'd be a shame to miss out ngl.

Thank you for really taking the time out and appreciating Tae as the incredibly talented artist that he is. Whether it is his solo stage or the group stage Tae is a magnetic performer that can captivate you with just one line in a song. I truly loved that he was able to show off his vocals in Layover and am very proud that he put together a cohesive no skip album... and even more proud that he had a ton of LIVE performances to back up the fact that he can sing! I really love how he stepped outside of the cookie cutter pop and put out the music that he wanted to make and his album hasnt left my playlist since it came out. You are so right when you say his voice is soothing. There are live performances for all his songs.... but i really hope you check out Le Jazz de V. Since you are really into V and RM right now they do have a collab song called 4oclock which is so good... and V did say he wanted to do a cover of come back to me one day and i am sure that is going to be amazing if he does.

Funny thing is that every live performance has just smth a bit different in terms of vibe. Esp For Us. He had a couple of live performances and the vibe is a bit diff in each. I love how his voice is the same but the vibe is diff depending on the performance. I love your reaction to Tae so much. The interesting thing is that every BTS member did promotion for their solos a little differently. They tailored their it to fit their personalities and styles. V didn’t do a lot of variety/talk shows (he did a few) but he did Tiny Desk, and a very unique promotion in a smaller area of Korea where he did :20 live performances for random people who came to club after being invited. They would pay a small amount, sit in the club facing a curtain, the curtain would open and V would sing for 20 seconds. People were freaking out and slightly confused. It was amazing and very V. (The video on RUclips on the Bangtan channel). Both V and RM kept their promotions very intimate, while Jimin and JK went big with talk shows and videos. Suga and J-Hope are both performance focused with Suga doing a whole tour and J-Hope headlining Lalapalooza. It really showcases their talents.

I just love the way you listen to music! I knew you would love V on Tiny Desk. It is an absolutely incredible rendition of some of the songs from Layover. V was one of the artists to help launch Tiny Desk Korea in 2023, loves jazz, plays the sax, & said he would’ve been continued with that (and with farming like his grandparents) if he wasn’t in BTS. the way tae just lets the music breathe, and is just so excited to celebrate music, and musicians means so much to me. the chemistry that exists between the band in this video is so wonderful to watch, and I hope tae is able to bring them back together for future performances of any other solo work he does. layover and rpwp are my favourite projects to come out of chapter 2 by faaaar so I'm so happy you're enjoying them too :)
