Good work Bo , it's allwwasys those 3 4 that burn out , had to do the same to my obs ,the first time I drove it hard with the LS swap it started redlining ,now it's 7 clutch converted hd2 kit and vette servo
@@tkovthekingofvidoes7648 There's a handful of things that could have caused it but those clutches usually have an underlying reason for burning up and you have to solve that or you'll be taking your transmission apart again.
Literally just got my transmission back in yesterday... Except I don't have a lift.... The 4l60 is now built to handle 450 to 500 hp... The guy that built it said that the 3rd to 4th is the weakest part and when I do crazy stuff to shift it to 3 so it don't go into overdrive and it'll last
thats the wrong filter if it does not have the legs on the valvebody side. but at first glance it looks like the shallow pan filter. i would definitely install the sonnax HD backing and apply plates to help with the centrifugal apply in the 3/4 clutch pack.
I really hate when you type what your looking for but nothing comes up. I know im not the only one that has found 3-4 and forward clutches with stripped teeth but clutch material is still good. Everytime i have turned the drum over after removing the spring clip everything came out except this particular one. Had use two needle nose pliers two pull forward piston out and still wasnt very easy and im not really sure why
Don't have to do the valve body, just pull the pressure control valve, and the band servo, then pull the pump and unhook the band from the anchor bolt👍
Gotta find why those clutches fail in da first place snd find the cause why they fail and fix it ,did the same thing as youbare doing after 2 months the truck came back to me ,,just me saying..
Weird question but I have a 5.3 fbo and cam and I have a 4l60e with a 3,200 stall and when I downshift to 2nd rolling like 60 my rpm used to just stay around 3500 rpm or something around that and just hold at that rpm unless I slowed down or hit it. now when I downshift to 2nd the rpm drops soon as I let off the gas pedal I’m not sure the exact rpm but u can feel it maybe like 2800rpm and then when I hit the gas pedal it jumps back up to like to 3500-4000 and sometimes it feels like its bucking its the weirdest thing ever do you know what might be wrong
@@BoBuilds we had a hole in one and went to the corner tire shop. They said “no way. It has screws in the rims” We tried to explain and they just didn’t understand what it was all about. We went to the autozone down the street and put a patch on it in the parking lot in about 30min. That patch held till the slick was done.
ARE YOU LOCATED ANYWHERE NEAR MICHIGAN?? I NEED A MOBILE MECHANIC TO CHECK OUT MY 08 gmc Sierra 5.3 1500 4wd. Needing some stuff done to it, possible lifter replacement? If not I’ll take it to a dealership, not many mechanic places around here trustworthy that I’ve found… thanks in advance!

Man I really like your build. Nothing over the top, but that thing pulls.

I wouldn't replace the clutches without replacing the pistons also, that's usually what causes the 3,4 clutches to burn up
I hope this is a joke. Cause my 3 and 4 clutchs are toast and I don't wanna do that too..😢

hey bud, do you know what your transmission guy did as far as upgrades.? I know sunshield and spraggs would need to be upgraded
That exhaust came out too easy for me to take this video seriously lol NY trucks won't be that easy
😂
Why not go with upgraded sonex parts?

Yo do you live in Houston I need the same done to my truck and you look like you know what your doing.

didnt show what you did to the valve body to remove the drum

Just dropped mine last week. Flexplate went bad. Sure could've used a transmission jack
Diablo bro que bien trabajo 👏🤙
Can someone help me with the link to the clutch pack?
Where did u get the clutch packs?

Definitely gotta find the cause of the failure. I’ve been having the 3-4 clutches problem and just replacing clutches isn’t the answer.
@@walterabraham5367Backing plate or pistons. If not that should try the leak test first on the drum

@@Wab2007 ya called slipping 🤣🤣
