omg, those tannoys in background? sure they are the speakers thats 1st made me mad for sound back in the 80's, thought they was ugly, then heard them and was omg i love music so much now, was about 10yrs old lol
My dad’s don’t sound like this anymore. They sound muffled. They’re great speakers but we don’t know what to do to repair them or where to take them with it potentially costing too much.
If you can take the cross overs out (not a very difficult task), and send them to KEF (or a competent tech) to service and replace all capacitors you will then get the sound you crave! It shouldn't cost the earth, either.
@@christiandelgado3543 Well Christian, yes you can do it yourself I guess however, I would rather have the KEF service people doing it as, after the "service" they should be able to check them out and make sure they are within the original specs. They have the equipment to do such job. So you will get them back in 'brand new' condition. Several years ago I had the Reference 3, series 2 on my floor and I now have regrets about selling them in favor of larger American speakers.. a 'sideways' move rather than 'better'. We live and always learn..
@@christiandelgado3543 Yes I do bi- amp as a matter of necessity. The two large Thiels I now use need massive amounts of power and current as they're only 4 ohm and 86dB efficient. The monoblock amps are Bryston 7BST which deliver 500 watts RMS each into 8 ohm and 800 Watts into 4 ohm loads. Preamplifier is an 'old' but great sounding Audio Research LS2 II
Great music! Love the sound stage of those speakers! Gorgeous finish on the speakers.
It's the rosewood finish.
Great video! Recently got the chance on buying these and i love them. Excellent sound! And inspired by this video the first song was "Promise me"!
I have these same speakers bi amped with musical fidelity amps and cd sounds awesome
Kef reference model, a speaker i always wanted but never had 😢

The song is "Promise Me" by Beverley Craven

What mic you use for record. it sound very good. i like very much kef and hifi vintage.
listened to them once .... really great speakers . This recording is good , but off course the original is sooo much better .
I thought this was the original?
Do you have an opinion on the Kef Reference Series 2 vs Kef Reference 205?
Beverley Craven is such an underrated singer, simply beautiful..
By the way, are you playing this song using only these KEF speakers?
SUPERB! :-)
Kef maîtrise bien les hauts parleurs coaxiaux 😊
Hi
If you had to choose between these but a series one or the kef 105 which would you choose?
For a living large room.
Thanks
Ps reference series one

Arthur Manolopoulos really? I have these exact speakers, replacing capacitors seems simple enough.

There're not even Bi-amped and Bi-wired.... If they were, would sound even better...
I have a pair of these speakers for sale.
