- Today I show you what I think are a seriously underrated option for beginning film photographers: point and shoots with zoom lenses!
I’ll show you 4 compact cameras I have experience with (The Fuji Zoomdate 1300, the Canon Prima 28v - also known as Autoboy Luna, The Pentax Espio 24EW and the Rollei Prego 90).
In the video I'm taking one of the cameras on the streets of Glasgow, the Canon Prima loaded with Fuji Superia 400.
Let me know your suggestions for affordable film cameras in the comments!

I stopped using film cameras because of the price of film and switched to digicam, but after your video I thought about buying a roll again and make few shots. Thanks!
Thanks! Glad it got you inspired. The rising price of film is a pain for all of us. :/
I considered making a digicam video- I don’t have one but I see it’s become an alternative for a lot of people lately. Maybe If I see a good deal, it could be an interesting challenge!
@@gastonwelisch If you wanna buy some digicam I can recommend you 2 good and cheapest (I hope so for you) cameras. It's Sony Cyber-shot or Canon IXUS/PowerShot. Good ccd camera. Always in my pocket one of that. Rn I wanna buy Olympus mju (digital version) and Panasonic lumix lx3 (but I think it's like next level for me)
I have a Canon Prima too and its my go to camera for traveling. Super easy to use, fits in my pocket and as given me really awesome photos so far
It's a great one - snappy, great form factor and specs! I finally realised there was a bit of fungus stuck in the lens of mine (which explains the fogginess). Sadly that doesn't really seem like an easy repair, so I found another one for a decent price! Hopefully I'll have better luck this time.
how do you only have 23 subscribers!? This is amazing!
Cheers! Hope the video was helpful. Just starting out!
Fun video. I was just traveling and took the Olympus xz1 with me which is digital but these are some awesome film recs🌸✨
Thanks! :)
@@gastonwelisch of course!
Super interesting! Thanks Gaston 👍🏼 what speed film were you shooting with on the walk around?
Cheers Pete! It was 400 speed film (Fuji Superia 400) - It helps getting better shutter speeds and less movement blur. I'll usually only shoot slower films on really bright days or with brighter lenses.
круто, отличные кадры! привет из российской деревни:)
Glad you liked the video! Hi from Glasgow :)
