    *So tell me - how often do you use quick wash?!* - Saumya

  • @LeaplingJoy

    I generally use quick wash for less soiled clothes, but I put more clothes than 2kg as mentioned the limit for quick wash in the booklet. I use less detergent whenever I use quick wash option. So my question is, is it okay to wash more than 2kg load for a 6.5 kg washing machine? Provided my clothes are less soiled and I use less detergent as well. I wanted to clarify will it damage my washing machine if I use quick wash for more than 2kg load?

    We use to set quick wash cycle in Bosch which is typically 15-20 min default and we cannot see temp value and rpm's on the dashboard. But manually we always set temp 40 and rpm 1200 though max is 1400 rpm but can't select 1400 😜Time increased by just 15 minutes and final time is between 30-40 minutes. Bosch has enabled the option to choose the temp at max but not the max rpm for quick wash.

    Hey Saumya…. Well chosen topic! Would you consider going through all the modes of washing that a washing machine offers? And I’ve been reading that fabric softeners aren’t good for clothes. Would you like to explore this pls? Thanks again for all your intellectually delivered videos. x

    HI.. Thanks for all the informative videos. My Bosch 6.5kg machine has problems and the repair guy did part repair and said we can use the 15 min cycle till he gets the rest of the spares. So we currently soak the clothes in a bucket and put them in the washing machine after an hour and use the 15 min cycle. Isn't this a better option for everyone? soaking clothes is definitely extra effort but then if its compensated by lesser use of water, electricity and time - a win win situation I would assume. what do you think
    ? post the spin cycle, I dont find much of a difference between a normal cycle spin and a 15 min cycle spin.

    • @TheGrapevineIndia
      @TheGrapevineIndia  2 года назад

      Hi Prasad! Well, it is a bit extra effort to soak and manually move the clothes - which could cause a mess. The shorter cycle is useful in some cases - esp when you want to be more gentle, with less heat or don’t want a spin to your clothes.

    I have lg front load washing machine
    🌟 Quick 30 + intensive (temp 40c) = 60minutes totally so its effectively cleaning coloured clothes,
    🌟 For whites i use cotton eco mode - 3 hours (temp 60c) perfectly cleans white clothes

      Hi Abushek! Thanks for sharing! Good tip on the whites! I also use a higher temperature for the whites. For colored clothes - does a 40C temperature not discolor it?

      Hi Sundar, always keep washing machine door open after wash for 15-20 min atleast to ensure moisture residue is gone. This avoids mould from developing

    I am a medico and longer wash cycles are something i cant always afford due to time constraints. I prefer washing everyday considering the disinfection scenario now.
    Pls help me in choosing a compact washer dryer for a family of 4 for a place with power cuts. How about the one you are using? Will it work for me ?

      @TheGrapevineIndia  2 года назад +1

      Hi Dr. Durba! Glad you are finding it useful! I recommend a slightly larger size for a family of 4. The one I have has a 5kg dryer only - so ideal only for family of 2-3. I recommend this one for you - amzn.to/3FlM63K. I find the dryer capability very very useful. Have not hand dried a single cloth since I bought this.

    My top load samsung fully automatic takes minimum 1 hour for quick wash... I don't like this feature of this machine.... Can I reduce this time... In my family there are Whirlpool and IFB automatic machines... They take half an hour for quick wash.. I'm regreting after buying the Samsung one

      Hi Ovi - what's your key reason to use quick wash? If you are using delicates or dark color clothes at 60 degree temperature - it could get discolored. So you need to be careful about that. Otherwise - it's totally fine!
