I mean it would be less sad if he didn't die of an overdose like so many people it's not even sad It's just disappointing that somebody is such a mess they can't control themselves... Probably cuz he's from the hood and all the hood does is perpetuate the same nonsense and decision making that ended up taking his life... But vice can't cover anything like that because you're not allowed to tell black people what to do... Even Obama couldn't get anybody in line because they didn't think he was black enough... Just because other people steal doesn't make it right. She says since other people do it she has to do it. It also sounds like and her husband are pure lazy to get a job. Lazy and makes excuses. Also if New York is too expensive, then live somewhere more affordable like the Southern states.

I work in retail, as a low level employee, for a multimillion dollar corporation. Most of the employees don't care if you steal and generally, employees are NOT allowed to confront shoplifters, follow them, or accuse them of anything. It's too much of a liability for the corporation. They would rather lose a couple hundred in merchandise, than a couple thousand in a lawsuit.
My main piece of advice to shoplifters would be; don't hit the same store more than once or twice because we DO notice and at a certain point, if we DON'T report you, it makes US look suspicious. At the end of the day it's every man for himself.
We had one shoplifter at my store, who came in every day, at the exact same time, wearing the exact same clothes. DON'T DO THIS. After a couple days I had to report her because she was being super obvious. If it was only once or twice, I would've let it slide.

Back when i was a teenager i was being stupid and stealing a 12 pack of beer from a store. An employee walked into the isle as i shoved it in my backpack. Walked to me told me to stop being stupir and if they see me agian they will have to report me.

It's already a stereotype. My late wife was a mall detective. She noticed how white shoplifters targeted the stores that profiled blacks.

I work adjacent to the retail industry. At least in my area, part if the Philadelphia market but not the city, it’s mostly black women and white men who shoplift. The black women typically steal out of desperation and poverty. The white men are typically either drug addicts or they’re part of a shoplifting network stealing high ticket items. It really depends on the area but it’s fair to say it’s not just black people. However, black people tend to stand out because when they get caught they are more likely to make a scene, which then perpetuates the stereotype.

It’s worth it for those two if they can make 1.6k in one or two days but selling that stuff is way more work. Doubling your investment if you have to sell every piece one by one is just like a normal job.
Thinking the buyer has a store front in Columbia run by others or just sells in bulk to many existing stores. Who knows?! She might run the whole op herself, keeping her and her puppy fit.
