Yea, it's insane how not just Michael but most of Vice's interviewer could take so candidly with people who kill other, deal drugs that end lifes ect. And I like to think he didn't get into that stuff when he was at vice, cause not just him but many other vice interview's have to deal with being around drugs not just reg drugs HARD HARD HARD drugs cause that's what got the views and clicks I guess. And it's hard to say no sometimes. Been clean 2 year's and I still think about going back from time to time. It's a demon in my head and every addicts head that wont shut up or go away, Even with time. I now at 32 understand the meaning up, "Every day is a battle".

I'm with you, I only play at casinos for quite a few reasons. Besides robbery there are way too many ways the private places can run cheats or collude together, I seen it myself at the one small stakes private game I played at (for fun) with people I'd played a bunch at the casino and taken stacks from ;but at their private game they never lost a hand and made zero mistakes. When I got home with the feeling in my gut that something wasn't right I looked up RFID cards and the first search result showed the exact POS cards they were using and I even asked them why they weren't using casino decks to which they replied the cheap cards were all they could get even though they run a regular game.....

I've gambled for a long time, and I can honestly say gambling addiction is the most fucked up thing I've ever seen. Worse than heroin, all that. Because they never win. They never even get the high they're looking for. Whenever I'm at a table with a guy who is clearly addicted, I just get up and leave. I don't want to take their money man.
I've traded stocks for 10+ years, the last 3 semi professionally, and I've seen so many people lose their life savings in less than a day.
Gambling for real isn't for everyone. If your ego is too big, if you're a person who is used to imposing your will on other games, it's not for you. It's something that shows you your irrelevance in the universe. It's cold, it doesn't care that you exist, or if you die homeless. As cold as the universe itself. Ironically, it can humble you more than almost anything on earth. But only if you're ready to recieve that lesson. Otherwise, it will swallow you whole.

I play poker as a side income, have been winning for 12 years. It's gambling. You can be gambling with an advantage, but it's still gambling.
Can i take from your assessment, that, in such a situation, where there is a coin that has a 51% chance to land on heads, that betting on it landing on heads would not be gambling? Because it definitely is, it's just gambling with advantage. That's all a good poker player is doing, albeit a more active process maintaining an advantage. Something a recreational player just isn't capable of usually, because they tend to be competing with players who are playing as a way of earning money, not just for fun occasionally, or during a time where they need to make some quick cash. So for most players, it's full blown gambling, this includes players who will eventually be good, but have only just started, so they're not very good at it yet (most people think this is them, but in reality, it's shockingly few people that ever get any good, the game is ludicrously complex). For the few players who win, it's gambling with an advantage.
      Definitely gambling though.
