Finally somebody who explains where all the cables go exactly. Thanks :)
I have just had this cooler delivered. I looked at the included instructions, which are anything but comprehensive 😂 i immediately panicked 😂. Luckily i found this. Fantastic guide!! Thank you 😊
Thank you so much for this video. This is the first AIO I’ve installed and the way you break it down makes it easy to understand and follow.
I hope this video helps me. Lian Li employees apparently don’t know how to write so they provide a two page manual with pretty much stick drawings and no explanations.
I like their equipment and have two pc’s with Lian Li parts but I’m at a point that I am not going to go through the torture if trying to read their minds trying to figure out how to wire multiple devices to work.
Thank you for your video.
I'm really appreciate your videos, recent subscribe and I have one lian LI 216 and with your videos now I can decide between this one and the trinity performance, thank you so much!!!
4:32 I spent 2 days trying to find this information. TY! Nobody ever shows where to connect things. They only give meaningless reviews.
I could not get the fans rgb to light up with only my motherboard, what adapter I need to transfer the 3pin plugs to argb ?
Are you sure fourteen fans and an AIO is going to be enough cooling. 😀
He needs a liquid nitrogen reservoir just to be safe
Just installed mine and the pump will not turn on. All of the fans turn on no problem but not the pump. Any chance I got a defective one?
Interesting seeing you do this as I am about to place an order for the same case and AIO and was wondering if it was possible to do a push/pull on the AIO. Did it come with the longer screws or were they some you had laying around?
i bought the aio and same fan pack, no screws came with that i know of
I cant see the fan rpm in the lconnect 3 can u help me somehow?
I have two questions:
1. Can I apply thermal paste (X) on CPU as well? or it required to applied on the pump surface?
2. I will fit the cooler directly to the case without the upper 3 fans, is it OK?
Not sure if you've figured this out yet, but yes to both. Look up videos on thermal paste application, plenty out there.
The radiator for the cooler can mount directly onto the top section of the case, just make sure you use the screws it came with and do not force them in or strip them.
how many adapters does the aio come with?
Anyone know if you can Actually Remove the Fan cable and replace it with the Single Cable from the SL infinity 3 pack, then it will fit into that controller. This AIO and Fans have different cable and Hub
Does anyone know where I can order the dual cable from? I didnt receive one with my AIO
Your videos are fantastic tutorials. What size of long screws did you purchase and do you have a link? I believe 6/32” about 1 1/4”?
Thanks in advance.
How exactly do we determine the fucking orientation for the sticker? That's why I'm here. Is it entirely based on long vs short axis?
Is anyone having trouble attaching the pump on to the cpus cand get both latches to hook at the same time even tho im putting a lot of force to stretch even putting weight on cpu that didn’t make me comfortable any tips? Plz help
Umm is the controller comming with the aio because i can not see it in my box😅
I still don't understand how to get the radiator rgb to turn on. The cable that comes from the radiator is one fan and one plug that doesn't go into the pump. Do I HAVE to use the hub for this. I don't want to right now but it seems I have to to get the lights to turn on?
have you got this sorted bcs i have the same problem
have you got this sorted as i have the same problem
I also have this problem
adding the thermal paste is it necessary to use the sticker could i just add the thermal paste to the cpu and spread evenly over the cpu
It’s a special plate it needs to feel a plastic sticker on it before it works.
yes u can and its even better
ive done all this, but there are also two slots ON the circular pump, do we need these at all? or no need if we are using the supplied hub i saw another video where one of the slots was used
you do not need those.
What's the black case in the background?
I need help. I bought the aio which came with a controller. I also bought the triple pack and that also come with a controller....but they are both totally different connections for each controller. I cant really need 2 controllers for the same make and prduct just to run aio and the fans to be in sync rgb wise?
I have run into the same problem, have you found any additional info?
@evankappatos I bought reverse fans and the connection for them are the same as the aio controller. So i got 3 reverse fans and you only need 1 to connect to the controller, but I bought 3 singles...so from 1 of them I used to connect to the triple pack what comes with a totally different controller and yeah no everything is on 1 controller.
So does that mean you did not find any additional information on the different connections between the aio and the 3 pack? Im also in the same boat and im about to snap as this is my first build so i feel like im doing something wrong
Can’t you just change the cable on the fans and use the single cable that came with the 3 pack?
Nice detailed steps. 👍🏾Am still on the fence about water and electronics. However, how safe would you say AIOs in general are from leaks?
They are very safe. Leaking you see online is usually from custom water loops, where theres a chamber of liquid in the case which is used to cool the GPU as well.
I've used aios on both of my pc's since 2015 and never once had an issue. First was a corsair 120mm, second a corsair 240 and handing that down to wifey and latest build is a 360. Didn't want a 3rd build but first pc mobo failed and cpu was 1st gen ryzen for which mobo support was discontinued so here we are. I wouldn't hesitate at all to keep using liquid cooling personally but boils down to personal preference.
extremely safe, you do not need to worry about it. If you didn’t get a AIO because of that reason that would actually be really stupid. I think the manufacturers know that they are going to be installed by electronics. They designed them pretty dang well to not leak.
It's not actually water that's why
They’re built by professionals that know what they’re doing. The people that build them know they’re going to be right by electronics. Also, thermal paste can be just as dangerous if you put too much on you, can short your motherboard. Like go with Cian if you can, there’s absolutely nothing to be worried about as far as leaks. Sure you’ll hear stories about some failing but that’s just it failing not leaking. If you buy a reputable brand, the chances of it leaking are so slim you would be dumb to worry about it. Not trying to be rude lol. Just trying to get the point across that you do not need to worry about leaking.
So the hub included with the AiO-cooler?
How many adapters is included for fan control?
It comes with the controller. It takes up to 4 channels, but keep in mind lian li fans can stick next to each other and each group has only one connector/channel so 4 channels is super enough!
what electric screwdriver are you using?
If you are having difficulty installing the water block on the cpu you can unscrew the screws on each side
I should’ve known that
I thought they were already loose
I had a AIO pump header on my mobo. I connected into that instead of the pump header. is that OK?
Yes, that is what it’s designed for
How much cooler temperature make difference with the additional 3 fans? it worth it?
He mentioned he used them for aesthetical purposes primarily, but also curious about thermal gains if any
will this fit on lga 1700 socket
What is the case? Thanks for this video
lian li 011d evo xl
It could be an interesting experiment to see how the performance version performs with its fans replaced by infinity fans to improve aesthetics.
It's called performance because the fans are max 3000rpm, and the pump is a little higher
So basically if you install a 2200rpm on the performance rad/pump combo.. half the performance leaves the room
@@cristianstefanm6478 What a detailed research I'm glad you tested it just for me.
does this aio go with the original lian li sl120 unifans or does it go with the newer ones?
it goes with all the Uni fans.
So, i dont need to use the ARGB cable if i use L connect? someone can answer me?
Yes. 😅
does the lian li galahad ii trinity sl-inf 360 come with long radiator screws or do i have to buy them separately?
not included
@@XtoF987 pretty sure they are included just screwed into the aio with the fans.
There is a black bracket on the right side of the GPU to support weight I guess? What is it? I need something like that urgently. Is it coming with the case or the mainboard?
You're looking for a gpu support bracket, they're widely available, Google which works best for you
@@michaelwells3544 thanks, it was already available with the case and also gpu itself now I have two. I've worried for no reason🤣
@@MyGamingHighlights excellent, glad it worked out 😎
Is there any difference between covering the cpu with thermal paste and putting the cooler on, compared to putting the paste on the cooler with the stencil and leaving the cpu clear of paste?
Any word on this?
@@eagerness35 I've heard nothing yet :(
@@RodDonnellyno difference. As long as you get a good coverage of paste on the cpu you’ll be fine
I'm confused with one part if the pump has 1 connectors one being 4 pin pwm and the other is sata....why did you plug in the two? Won't 2 power sources not short the pump
One is for power one is for speed control.
@@TheFlyingHeifer figured that out recently installing mines
@@DarkIdrees Also just fyi even if u did send to much power to it it wouldnt be a short. A short is when u have power tied directly to ground. Like connecting the positive side of a battery directly to its negative side. To much power would be overvoltage or overcurrent.
@TheFlyingHeifer I did electrical I know how that works
@@DarkIdrees Obviously not since u said it wrong 😂
Does the fan hub come with the aio about to purchase this aio just need confirmation
yes
Hello Christopher! Im actually building in the same case. Same konfig of fans and so on. My question is. All the other fans you put in. Did you group them into the same hub? Lian li says you cant expand more then one fan per port on the AIO hub. How did you connect all your fans is basicly what im asking. Cos im currently at a loss as I have the infinty hub (wide connectors). And the AIO 4 pin connectors as you showcase. And i noticed you put 3 more groups. 2 exhaust in the back 3 intake at the bottom and 3 on the side. How did you group them? and did you do that into the same hub?
When you purchase a three pack of infinity fans, it comes with a sl infinity hub. All your case fans would plug into this for power and RGB. The AIO pump and radiator fans go to the hub that comes with the AIO. The lian li connect software will see all this and you’ll be be able to control all of it.
@@TheFlyingHeifer Thank you sir for the clarification :) much appriciated. :) USB adapter orderd ;)
@@robinskold8190 Also wanted to add. U dont need tbe sl infinity hub. Theres two hubs. The sl infinity one that comes with a pack of 3 infinity fans. And a aio hub that comes with the aio. If u order the 3 pack that comes with the infinity hub. Then these fans will only come with a 7 pin cable. This puts the fan power and rgb in one cable. U would have to plug this into the infinity hub it cones with. So basically u connect the 3 fans together, see instruction manual. Connect one end of cable to one fan. Then connect the other 7pin end of the cable to infinity hub. Do this with rest of fans. Then connect infinity up to sata power and usb to motherboard.
Now if u purchase a single infinity fan, it will come with a cable that has to split ends, a 4 pin pwm and a 3 pin rgb. This will not go into the infinity hub the 3pack comes with. This can either go into the hub thay comes with aio or the motherboard. So what I did was I purchased a bunch of single infinity fans. Clipped the physical fans to each other for what i need. Then i used the cable the single fan came with. Connected one end to the fan. Connected the rgb end to the aio hub. Connected the pwm end to the mother board. Did same with rest of fans. Then I connect the pwm of the aio and rad fans to the motherboard. I connected rgb of pump to motherboard. I connected rgb of rad fans to hub. This setup will give me full control of rgb through lian li l-connect 3. And fan speed control through mother board software which i can acces and control from windows 11. oh and used rgb adapters the aio comes withs with connect infinity fan rgb to aio hub. Aio comes with 3 adapters.
@TheFlyingHeifer thanks for clarifying! I'm in parts gathering stage of my build and had some questions I couldn't find answers to so this helps.
Wanting to do o11 vision chrome build so fan orientation set up with 3x 120 infinity fans on exhaust on radiator side mounted, 1x reverse 120 at rear and 3x 140 bottom intake fans but can't find any 3 packs of the 140s.. was looking at this aio due to the fact it comes with 3 fans attached so make a saving but obviously lose out on the 3 pack of 120s with the controller and wondered if there was a work around
@@Ackz89 if you’re going with this AIO, don’t worry about the Infiniti hub. This AIO will come with the hub that you will connect all your fans to. keep in mind you may have to connect your pump and your radiator fans to your motherboard. Which to be honest, they should be anyways. All your case fans will go out to the hub. This AIO comes with. Also, I don’t think they sell any 3x140. I just had to buy three separate 140 fans. I don’t know if this helps, but the only reason the three pack comes with the seven pin connector and the infinity hub is purely for ease of use. Like normally on a fan you would have to connectors, pwm(speed control) and rgb. The seven pin basically combines those two so that you can then connect into the Infiniti hub. The AIO kit also does come with adapters for the separate infinity fans you purchase. what I would do is get the AIO. Purchase your seperate 140 fans. then just see what connections you have left and plan your 120 fans accordingly.
I bought the 3 pack and the aio installed the aio hub connected everything up and when I went to connect the 3 pack I bought its different cable ends to the hub so I have removed the aio hub and I’m using the hub that comes with the 3 pack is this okay I’ve managed to connect the aio fans to the 3 pack hub will everything still work fine??
Will the next version be the trio trinity III?😂
Thanks for the video. Helped me out making my first build.
What motherboard is that?
How many fan hubs does it have?
1
Will this fit on a AM4 motherboard?
yes!
@@guushemmer9729 will it fit straight on the pre existing back plate or do I need to purchase a back plate?
Hi! Please tell me why most of youtubers mount de AIO on top?the most efficient (cooler) way would be to mount on front with tubes down. Is this just for aesthetics/ convenience?
Personally i do my aio on top because without it on top it looks really empty and spaced out in my case.
Because mounting AIO on top prevent air to trap in the pump
Is the best becouse, all the hot air insta will go out from case, so u cool like that your GPU too!
But if u dont care for your GPU, then best place for your radiator is ofc front with intake fans, so hot air wil come inside your case from radiator.
I would like to see a tubes up VS tubes down on a 360mm AIO. There is no video comparing the efficiency, just the bubble issue.
@@pacif1st.This is the way
