Hey Seeker, I saw your video of movie fast food tie-ins was featured on a recent livestream from Jabroni Mike. I thought that was really awesome and it’s a sign that you’re becoming very famous! Keep up the good work man
Subscribed! I find the history of Domino's mascots to be super interesting. The Noid, despite everything, is still my favorite, but I also love Donny Domino and Dottie Domino. I always wondered why Donny and Dottie got dropped after only a few years, they seemed to be decently popular? Interestingly, they also appeared in Japanese Domino's Pizza commercials in the 90s. If you ever cover more lost commercial media, I'd love to see you talk about Jack In The Box restaurants' 1970s commercials. Only three are on RUclips [Baseball, In The Park, Jack In The Box Animated Commercial 1970s]. The characters were voiced by Paul Winchell and lasted until the 1980s. Jack was brought back in 1994 due to a E. Coli outbreak. I wonder if there's also lost media surrounding the modern version of Jack?
I definitely remember seeing these ads in the late 90s for sure. Also, I'm surprised Domino's Pizza never actually sold "official" Dr. Cravin' figures at their restaurants. Probably would've been a really popular promotion, as fast food toys that are available for a limited time tend to sell like hotcakes. That 60 second ad that never aired sounds like it could've been something that would've been potentially split into two separate ads to add to the idea of Domino's marketing promising more ads so it could be more serialized.
The action figure appears to be a kitbash of a Playmates Star Trek figure based on the size and buck, but I'm not sure which figures were used to make him. The legs seem like the TOS ones, based on the way the pants cut off at the boots, and the smaller hands would suggest one of the later TNG or possibly DS9 figures, but beyond that I have no idea. The torso could be a reuse of some variant figure but I have no idea which. It could be a new sculpt, like the head. Funny thing is that the head sculpt looks a great deal like William Sadler, who played Luther Sloan on DS9, but no action figure was ever made of his character.
I was wondering about that. It’s cut off here, but the picture I found had the figure standing on what looked like a Star Trek logo base. So you might be on to something here. Now I kinda wanna dig into this myself.
“Gotta be, gotta be Domino’s BUFFALO WINGS” has lived and continues to live rent free in my mind. I can count on one hand how many times I’ve ever ordered Domino’s but I still remember that jingle
The ads do indeed give some strong Action League Now! vibes. Shame the campaign was so short-lived. Domino's could have used more fun mascot character ad campaigns like Pizza Hut's classic Pizza Head series in the 90s.
There was a fourth commercial that got made. It was similar to the car ad, but it ended with Dr. Craven getting taken by a dog.
Not sure how I missed that! But it was the only thing different about the ad, so I likely just overlooked it. Thank you so much for the info!
4:14 that big ass plate of wings for 4 dollars got me fucked up 😞😆 what a deal 30 years ago 😂
Dr. Cravin reminds me of Action League Now! Love it!
Exactly my thoughts. I'd forgotten about these commercials, but seeing them here, I'm reminded that I thought of that back then, too.

Really? That’s really cool! I’ll have to check that out!

@@SeekerofTheLost I saw that picture and I didn't even notice the logo base 😅
Based ass comment 🖖🏿😂 keen eye 👍🏾
Hasn't dominos been trying to revive the noid campaign?
Wow, I found out that there were more mascots after the Noid.
Informative video 🙂
I actually saw the dog ad.
am i the only one whos seeing this dude being called "the noid" and instantly thinks of pizza tower
I thought that Bad Andy was hilarious.
Lovely creative people they have making their ads at dominos.
It's just a shame about the pizza.
😂😂
I don’t HATE their pizza, but I’m more of a Papa John’s guy.
@@SeekerofTheLost In terms of the non Pizza Hut pizzas, I rank Domino's just below Papa Johns, but way above Little Caesar's.
@@DasNordlicht91 that’s pretty much how I’d rank them too.
Pizza Hut doesn’t even chart on my pizza scale. 😂
Oh sweet, new character for me to ironically gush over for 0 reasons other than because they are so nothing that they’re funny to me just dropped
