So now we not only have Femboy Hooters as a meme, but Goth IHOP as well (with the added bonus of it actually being real)? I wonder what other categories restaurants will fill.
You know what’s always baffled me? Why hasn’t Paramount ever made a deal with Sonic Drive-In to make special menus to promote the Sonic the Hedgehog movies?
My dad is a teacher and had the katniss lifesize cutout from the subway-hunger games collab in his classroom. He was at subway when they were getting rid of it and had it in his classroom for something like 5 years
I miss when Fast Food companies would go all out with a movie promotion. They'd make a weird burger or bring back the McRib or something and they'd have these large collectors cups, all the while having the same movie as the kid's meal promotion. Closest thing we got was BK's Spider-Verse promotion last year, but the toy was some crappy papercraft stuff and they didn't have plastic collector's cups, just the standard cardboard ones.
@@gapsule2326 The "Calzony." Though I don't know to what extent the stores did to promote it, because every one I had around closed its doors before that. This year there was a Kung Fu Panda branded sundae at BK (they also had a Kid's Meal Tie In), and Po was on Crowns (my stores never got them), but they didn't have him on cups or burger wrappers, and no food items were made with an adult fan in mind. At least the toys were ACTUAL toys made of plastic. Spider-Verse also had a sundae and crowns.
I have a Lord Of The Rings Burger King glass or chalice almost, thing is great even had a light up base. Wish they'd do something to that level again that was fun
The one I remember people mocking online was the Fantastic Four Denny's Collab, featuring the Thing burger, which I think was a bacon cheeseburger with a cheesy bun. Unfortunately The Thing is one of the few established Marvel characters who is Jewish.
3:33 In the ad for Horton Hears a Who, I kept thinking that the kid said "Hey Horton, my pancakes will adopt you!" But he's actually saying "My pancakes wanna talk to you!"

Volcano Burrito was sooooo good, they also had Volcano Tacos and Nachos to go along with it when they brought it back. I think Congo was underrated personally.
You're telling me... that for SHAZAM!, a movie that's SET IN PHILADELPHIA, we didn't get a promotion between Subway and/or Jersey Mikes or Firehouse Subs or any place that does a damn Philly Cheesesteak??
I burst out laughing at the commercial for that Congo-themed burrito, because unless my ears deceive me ,that's definitely Peter Cullen, who voices Optimus Prime, delivering a spiel about a limited-time burrito hahahaha
I *ABSOLUTELY* remember the Horton menu. Albeit distantly but you never forget the DumDums on the pancakes. Well, that and the jello drink, the consistency was SO weird on my prepubescent throat. But boy what I'd give to try that promotion again. Pretty fitting that iHop did promotions for the film whose crew would go on to form Illumination, semi-related.
I don't remember if it was a tie-in for a specific item, but Arby's had the best commercial a few years ago where Jon Benjamin (Bob of Bob's Burgers) was flipping burgers.
He actually did a few commercials for Arby's. They were not promoting his show or movie but I think they just got him because of his distinctive voice and also the irony because Arby's refuses to sell burgers

Terminator: Genisys had a promotional menu at Red Robin. The two new items included were: "the Genisys Burger, a fire-grilled beef patty topped with roasted jalapeno, pepper-jack cheese, shredded romaine, bacon, tomatoes and jalapeno aioli, served on a new jalapeno-cornmeal bun or sip on the signature Blue Haze in celebration of the film. The Blue Haze is indeed the "T-800" of cocktails and steals the show, served in a captivating tiki glass filled to the brim with Captain Morgan spiced rum, blue curacao, pineapple juice, agave nectar, sweet and sour with a lemon squeeze and a strategically-placed cherry to mimic the Terminator's infamous red eye."

I was thinking the same thing, Peter Cullen did voice work for commercials?
Because burritos are the right of all sentient beings.
