Wow that's brilliant, might have been 2 year ago you posted that but I cant believe that they were still performing. Absolutely timeless punk classic. 👍👍👍
My teenage daughter heard the cover version by Cage the Elephant and when I told it was a cover, she is now is interested in “classic” rock (am I really old enough that the music of my youth is now considered classic? Lol). Hey, however kids get into loving REAL music I’m all for it!
That bass player john brown lives in my small west wales town , used to see him doing gigs round here , had ago on that thunderbird bass in this video and it was great
@@billgrundie8478 The Raffles. (Actually Applecross rather than South Perth.) He's back tomorrow. Weird to think I'll be seeing him perform here again after 38 years.
@@bealetm I saw Mr. Wreckless on the same tour in Canberra - Yes I agree one of the best live performances on the 80's. I still have the live double vinyl album.
I like the way that both The Monkees and Mental As Anything covered this song. Both did some justice to the song ,not saying that Eric didn't do a good job because he did.
More bands and artists should be wanting to cover this song and making new versions of it to live on for ages. I thought that Cage the Elephant did a great job. This song must stay alive is my point!
Chorus TV animated by rock-critic Antoine de Caunes was so ahead of its time choosing an underground like him back in the day, but how bloody brilliant!
I'd go the whole wide world just to hear "Whole Wide World" (1977), by Wreckless Eric.
Makes me happy !
Fantastic
Great song
Saw him open for Bosstones, good performance
Saw him last night. He's still got it 😊
Is he still alive?
Jealoussssss
