For someone who owns every Session guitar, Session bassist . And pretty much every other plugin from NI , It would be nice to get more than a intro price . For those loyal customers to eager to wait for the komplete bundle. And end up with double licences when we buy the collectors edition.

They should do what Steam does; recalculate the bundle to only include the products you're missing, but because you have the others, still give you the discount of the entire kit, because you're a loyal customer. They I would buy more of their stuff.. now? not so much.

Old Session Guitarist libraries would look amazing with an updated UI. For example. I would really want to see the midi drag and drop capability included in earlier libraries because I get inspired instantly by that feature. Hopefully, and thank you for this a must-have library.
Midi look like it’s impossible they use samples , it’s why it’s so realistic !!

Many newer features wouldn't be able to be ported because of the way the whole thing works but A LOT of small quality of life improvements they made in the newer ones could and that would be so helpful. I love the sound of the first one and I still use it to this day but it'd definitely benefit from an update
The older ones used the chord sampling technique, it's not midi, they recorded every chord in few styles in those libraries, but the new ones are completely different, they didn't record chords, but the the different notes of a chord, and that's why you can use midi with them

Can you please clarify for me: we can now completely edit the strum pattern after dragging to piano roll? As in every beat and note as desired, custom? They are now, basically, nice starting points? I'll buy now instead of waiting for Kontact 15 if that's the case. Love the series but not previous limitations. Sounds like it, if chords are all single notes. I only have limited phone access during sale. Please confirm and thank you everyone.
Hey, a new session guitarist! Sounds great. But a few notes: You guys mention the upcoming 10th anniversary of the series. Would be a great moment to update the older libraries with the newer features and more (simple) patterns. In other libraries, some very basic strumming patterns are missing that are crucial for songwriting. (When arranging around a lyric/ melody with a specific rhythm.) And looking at the new drummer and bassist features in the new Logic Pro 11, you need to take another step to keep competing. (Like the possibility to draw in a two measure guitar pattern with up and downstrokes.)

It was made by Drumasonic. In the current ui interface you can't see Drumasonic yet under brands, but Seesion Strings under e-instruments. Hopefully more of that in the future.

Great demo. As a guitarist though I’m really not a fan of the sound however if you use it well and are looking for polished pop you could probably get good results.

@@musicLOVers-lq1cm Yes! but they are ready made strums that can be heavily edited. Sunburst sounds amazing, but its mostly Rock oriented. look at session guitar, but also check out Ujam; they let you demo the guitars for 30 days free. For soulful guitars, I'd try Funk Guitarist by Scarbee, Guitar (or everything) Bundle by Pettinhouse, & MIDi Soul Guitars Vol. 1 by Aaron Daniels Music. I hope this helps. These guitars are far more than simple sampled riffs, so you can customize & get more tailored loops.
I have most of the guitars from NI. Its like they sound too good to sound natural, too reverbish and silky clean. The best guitar plugin I heard by now is the Fink - Signatures Guitar from Spitfire. If only NI could do something like that with the sound of their acoustics.
Very good library! A question, is it possible to put a MIDI guitar or keyboard or whatever instrument, and have the product read it, without the intervention of the parents? For example, I have a midi like Hotel California, and I want to use Session Guitarist, just as an instrument so that it can play the file in the DAW, is that possible? Could do without the USA cinematic trailer 'deep voice' - so distracting and irritating. Sorry NI. lasted 1 min 45 seconds and that was enough.
EZ Guitar is still a dream while there's this plug in.
This is no doubt wonderful.
But eating a fresh apple and eating a slice from a frozen tin...same goes with actual guitar sound and this plugin sound.
But kudos to your efforts for sure. Good job.

After applying effects like reverb etc do i need to use stock plugin or any third party plugin for polishing the melody?
Very quickly those become boring, same loop over and over again
You can create your own melodies using the melody instrument though. ✌️

Customizing strumming patterns isn't possible, but you can drag and drop MIDI into your DAW to transpose the notes and change the melodic line.
I can only imagine what kind of supercomputer this session is running on. 😭
It still looks like you can’t edit the patterns manually, only combine them with other patterns using the key switches to try and achieve the rhytmn you actually want.😔

Is there a way to get it to load faster? I bought it recently and I have to leave it fro 10 minutes to load because it's on my external harddrive. (It's obviously a HUGE plug-in, but even BBC Symphony Orchestra loads faster, and it's much bigger in size)

I wish all the other guitar and bass libraries would get updates too! Seems like with every update the sampling tech sounds more realistic, and you notice the difference when using electric sunburst deluxe vs this. It's clear that NI devs have the patterns down great. I think what really needs to happen now is to really put a big focus on the MELODY part of the library. IMO NI really has to go all in on the melody feature so that we can have the most realistic guitar libraries out there. I want to be able to make my own melodies and strummed chords too, but right now it seems like its still being held back. For example we still cant do arpeggios that play the same note across different strings, like you would see in a real guitar when playing with open tunings or picking through an open chord. And also to have keyswitches for up and down picks, forced string frets, etc...
sounds great but please tell me it plays at slower tempo unlike strummed acoustic 1 and 2 which stop playing at 60 or 65bpm.. sometimes we need it slower at 40 or 50bpm speed. big limitation
Doesn’t it have a half speed function in the settings.. you could choose 80bpm and set it to half speed.?
@@GSA_Drums it stops playing.. if you half it at 120 or 130, that's the limit.. if you half 110, no sound.. it's the same thing as setting the tempo, just won't play.. i have written to native instruments about this and they say that's the lowest sample rate it supports, sent me the manual i think.. which i thought is another way of saying "we're not willing to put in the hard work needed to record slower samples". i had to buy ilya strum for slower samples but it doesn't sound that great.. so I'm still looking for alternatives to slower tempo rhyrhms
Oh.. ok.. i never tried it. Just assumed that would work. That sucks.. sometimes we need slow chords in the background.

@@NativeInstrumentsI was talking about the pattern on the melody version of the vst,tried to remake the melody using the same 4 pattern,(mind me the melody is incredible,and throughout frustration I ended up noticing that the 4 pattern don’t sound the same In the video and in the actual vst

Your wish came true, load this up in Logic, after you created a track with the new AI capable session player, and you can use this plugin in place of Apple’s.

@@NativeInstruments It takes a lot of time to load all the files, but it works well in the end. Maybe I should try it on a faster desktop.
NI stuff sounds great. But do we really need one more MIDI software to replace real musicians? Hire a guitar player, and listen to your tracks sound real. Signed, a guitar player.

@@NativeInstruments yes it sounds fantastic like every other library of your session guitarist. Very useful for many genre and of course I already bought it. But I still miss a pop punk guitar with the sound of iconic bands like Blink182 or Green Day. Hope you will work on it in the future :)

Its an scoutic 6 string guitar anf one of the best acoutic sampled ones so far...mayby the best onr and i know them all.
Was the steinberg one also a jumbo 6 string guitar?
I remember it was a great sampled electric guitar...so why you compare them? Makes no sense. And by the way...steinberg ones still good but better ones outhere in 2024 ....for sure...sounds you dont know them personally
