I just used your tutorial to cut a tree skirt from a thrifted fleece throw and it came out PERFECTLY. I'm so proud of it. Thank you so much for the easy-to-follow instructions.

Thanks for this. We were scratching our heads on how to make a large tree skirt out of regular fabric. After seeing this tutorial we made one large piece of fabric to look like yours by cutting 5 yards in half and sewing it together into a square. then we traced a smaller old skirt and made it larger around the edges.

Thankyou for sharing, exactly what I needed to know! Can't find anything in my colour scheme without an extortionate price tag.

Love the project....but back to the yellow stain...did you try to get it out?
If it is satin you can use diluted peroxide..and a small amount of liquid detergent. Saturate the stain...let sit 20 minutes and stain should be gone. Rinse in cold water....

I have the Viking Emerald but I would recommend buying the Brother brand. Mine has a ton of bells and whistles as far as options, but I don't use hardly any of them and the instructions are not very good. If I had to do it all over again, I would have bought a Brother system.

I realize this video is old but you can keep the old tree skirt by flipping them over.
