    So nice to see you sewing again. I've made two of those memory pillows from my husband's shirts. The one I put on my bed until I got it sent to my daughter and the next morning I rolled over and saw the pillow and thought oh my sweet honey must of been so tired he fell asleep with his clothes on. Then as I hugged it i realized the truth and my husband was gone. I saw these on youtuve,and inside the pocket you can embroidery on his handkerchief this is the shirt I use to wear whenever you see it know I am near. That is one way to get the clothes out if the closet. My daughter in law,saw all my husband's clothes in the closet,and said it,wasn't healthy until I told her in making a,quilt for his daughter and some teddy bears for,the kids and of course one for his,daughter too. No matter how old you get you never get to old of your,daddy's teddy bear!!!!!!.might make me,a coverlet for the summer if there is, any material left.

      I figured you had made one before...you're so creative :) I've made a few teddy bears and they are so labor intensive that I've only made 3 and 2 of them were made of fur which was really hard on my sewing machine. Love hearing from you....HUGS !!!

    Thanks for the clear directions. Planning on sewing some memory pillows for family members this Christmas--our first without our father. Wondering about the reason for using a zigzag stitch along the seams rather than a straight stitch. Is this to allow a little "give" or to balance out the seam line so it doesn't have to necessarily be perfectly straight? Would appreciate a response to this question. Thank you!

    So glad to see you again, your easy sewing videos are missed. How did you weight loss go for you, you look great. Are you doing a holiday Christmas decorating house tour?

      Thank you ! I kinda fell of the Nutrisystem wagon when I had a little disagreement with their customer service. I put my order on hold because I was going on vacation and then they confirmed it but turned around and sent the food and billed me anyway so then I had too much food, so I put it on hold again for 60 days and they did it again. Frustrating ! I love their program so will go back on again in January. I've been doing alot of commuting the past 4 months, so fast food has gotten to me...I've gained 5 lbs but will take it back off after the holidays. I won't be doing a holiday house tour this month because we have 4 different sets of guests coming over the holidays so it will be overwhelming getting ready for each group of guests. Thanks for watching....HUGS :)

    Can you do that ultra heat bond tape stuff instead of sewing? I really am wanting to make one for my nana but I don’t have a sewing machine and never have used one anyway. Btw your video has been the best I’ve watched so far and I’ve been watching these all day long! I wish I was just born crafty 😀 but thank you for all the tips! If anyone could answer my question on the heat bond tape?

      Thanks Irma !! I took a break from Nutrisystem for the past 3 months because I had a little disagreement with their customer service so I told them to cancel me. I plan on going back on in January. With my commuting schedule, I've fallen off the wagon and been eating out 1 meal a day 4 days a week and have put on 5 lbs. I really miss the program so I hope I can get back on track and start it back up. I told their customer service to hold my meal plan for 30 days while I was going to be on vacation and wouldn't need all the food and then sent it to me anyway and charged me, so I told them to delay my next order again since I had to much food from the past order and they sent it to me again and charged me....was mad so I told them to cancel my plan. Happy Holidays....HUGS :)

      I haven't seen a kilt close up to be able to replicate it. I'll have to see if I can find one locally to study it to see how it is put together. I'll keep that on my list of things to watch for. Thanks for watching !! HUGS :)

    Why do you a zig zag stitch?

    • @AjsVintageDesigns
      @AjsVintageDesigns  6 лет назад +1

      Zig Zag stitches keep material edges from fraying and if it is a stretch fabric the thread won't break when its stretched. Thanks for watching !!! HUGS :)

    cAN YOU MAKE SWEATER PILLOW

    • @AjsVintageDesigns
      @AjsVintageDesigns  6 лет назад +1

      It's the exact same process, only with sweaters you need to put "fray check" on the cut edges to keep it from the unraveling (any sewing supply store carries this and its like a clear glue you dab along your cut edge.) Also, make sure it is a heavy sweater, loose knit sweaters will stretch out and easily snag and come unraveled. The only time it would be different is if its not a button down sweater. I'll try and do one soon for you. Thanks and Happy Holidays !! HUGS :)
