Who is Phil, musically? It's like no one knows. He hides it. We all know his former capabilities. It just makes me ponder what he actually knows musically and how far he can go. Dude can sing far beyond most. I wish he teamed up with more people and sang his balls off since he was born with such a gift where others like me have to work on it for decades even before my ears are close to right.
Don't forget he sings with destroyed: chest, back, and vocal larynx.

Seek out the album "power metal" by Pantera. Their first with Phil just prior to cowboys from hell. Most people don't realize that he had rob Halford style chops. I saw his cover band back in 86 in New Orleans. Razor white. He was truly amazing nailing priest and maiden like he wrote it. Owning the stage. I knew then he was on his way.
@@Makeitstick-u8v I'm always awestruck by the live Power Metal days. It's like Phil was a totally different singer. I'm in awe you actually saw him sing in 86! That's so cool! Yeah, the live Power Metal when he's Rob Halfording like no one else, in the middle of talking or singing, he was amazing. He's like the Randy Savage of the metal world back then. I miss that vibe. He even sounded a bit like Randy in the middle of songs! hahaha. Yeah?!?!?!

Phil makes me so damn proud I could cry. Such a beautiful and talented soul. Kinda surreal seeing him going from doped up & laying on his back during Pantera shows screaming into the mic to making this beauty, throwing back some waters instead of black tooth grins.

Phil's been teasing this album for like two years now. It was supposed to be out at the end of last year, then he said January in an interview. Now it's almost February and still no release date. PHIL! I'M ONLY WHINING BECAUSE I CARE!

Been a Phil fan since I heard Vulgar in 1992. Not sure how I feel about this. But, with his voice being so damn deep, the right female jazz singer to compliment him would probably elevate the shit out of this.
