The reason they showed a picture of Linus from the Peanuts at the end was because this aired after Charles Schulz died. This video cuts it off, but they lead into a commercial break as the SNL band's pianist/keyboardist plays "Christmas Time is Here" from the Peanuts Christmas special. I can't believe I still remember that.
The pianist is Cheryl Hardwick.

The real Mr. T is a great guy -- he's lasted 40 years in the business, on and off, and is always doing free stuff for kids' charities. He hasn't burned out, or made horrible decisions like Mike Tyson. Or Gary Burghoff.

My wife and I attended a jazz brunch the day after he passed away and the quintet performed a number of Vince Guaraldi's Peanuts-themed tunes. That memory was made so sharp after reading your comment that it seems like it was just last Sunday.

Yeah and then reality hits you and your boss comes over and fires your ass. Oh man I thought we were making a funny I guess not. And then you walk to the bus stop empty handed, thinking how much of a stupid thing you just did. Contemplating the whole time in your head, was my mother right about me. I'm 38 with no wife no kids don't even have a car, and I still live in her basement. Man that noose in my room's looking real tempting right about now. Let that be a lesson for you kids.
