At the point of this video they had 5 singers and a drummer. Why not do an original from their new album To The Power Of Eight? Falling Down and Faith Focus Finish has a music video. In that album they have 7 singers and a drummer! 3 main vocalists and 4 "mimics" that do the guitar and bass. Also Falling Down and Faith Focus Finish has a guitar solo
Ha! You know if its' got Joakim in it, I'm here to give it a listen!! Love his booming baritone style vocals. This was super interesting to listen to, I'll have to check out some of their other stuff, I've never heard of them before, crazy! Thanks for that guys, its' pretty rare for me to have not heard of someone before!! That's a great treat.
@Daniel O'Sheigh That was pretty crazy and we did it for the same reason, as we knew of Joakim, so it fitted well with our way of checking out links. We will go back and do something else from these guys, we own them that much. Don't watch too many then!!
Van Canto are a Accapella Hero Metal Band. Their Covers are good, maybe ok, for the most parts. Theres a cover of Nightwishs Wishmaster, and its a meme in itself. Ive been a fan of Van Canto since 2008, since i stumbled across them on the Wacken Open Air.. For songs, maybe give some of their own ones a shot. Id reccommend: If i die in battle, Bardscall, My Utopia.. At least, those are my personal favorites.
Hmmm ok thats an interesting one... Babymetal and Joakim!... we have only done one baby metal song and it got blocked, we have managed to release it again but it is blurred. Thanks for the comment and we shall add the the list :)

Best showcase of Van Canto is their cover of Wishmaster. The Final Countdown is a good choice too. And BTW, "A Capella" doesn't mean "no musical instruments," it means "not *accompanied* by instruments." The rock drum kits they use aren't pitch-shifting instruments, so you can't play a tune on them. You can play _rhythms,_ even quite complicated rhythms, but not a _tune._ The drummers in Van Canto don't accompany the singers; they back them. Voices backed by drums is plenty a capella for me. If you doubt me, check out the Pentatonix video of 'Hallelujah.' At one point, they start to back their voices with hand clapping and knee and torso slapping. That's percussion right there; it doesn't come from their voices. If that cover still counts as a capella, I maintain that this one does too.

What a trip this was! Joakim in anything works for me, this is some next level creative shit! I'm not sure I'm ready for the likes of Van Canto, never clicked on them before, but my 2 favorite Brits (after uncle Brian, RIP) checking them out made me go ahead and try 'em out. I agree with 7.6, just for creativity alone. I still want to see you two check oout Type O Negative, Love You to Death or Christian Woman (Pete's video version).
@Chuey's Mama Another, great fun comment from you. That was indeed creative and nice to know you made it through. We have such a long list of things we are trying to get to and not enough time. We will try and do something soon. Thanks for watching.
The 'Diggy Dum' is supposed to sound like guitar? I have heard the Primo Victoria song & this is not far off. Just not sure what the 4 singing backup are supposed to sound like. It is unique. And you guys are straying far afield from your pop roots. LOL!! But I like it. Not really sure I care for this one much. Primo Victoria is pretty odd to begin with (for most people). This a cappella version may be a bit too much. Great review guys.
@Keith Jarvis Thanks for checking it out and we will try and get to do the Sabaton version so we have something to compare it too and yes, those days of doing Pop are a long way behind us, but we are having some fun along the way. Thanks for the comment too!
Yes it was different for us and still now we have not heard the original by sabaton so perhaps that’s just how it sounds. Looking to do another to find out what other acapella Avenue they take!

Hello and thank you for the comment.
We will do just that and give these guys another go with one of their own songs.
Thanks for watching.

About D-Day
Through the gates of hell
As we make our way to heaven
Through the Nazi lines
Primo victoria
We’ve been training for years
Now we’re ready to strike
As the great operation begins
We’re the first wave on the shore
We’re the first ones to fall
Yet soldiers have fallen before
In the dawn they will pay
With their lives as the price
History’s written today
In this burning inferno
Know that nothing remains
As our forces advance on the beach
Aiming for heaven though serving in hell
Victory is ours their forces will fall
Through the gates of hell
As we make our way to heaven
Through the Nazi lines
Primo victoria
On the 6th of June
On the shores of western Europe 1944
D-day upon us
We’ve been here before
Used to this kind of war
Crossfire grind through the sand
Our orders were easy
It’s kill or be killed
Blood on both sides will be spilled
In the dawn they will pay
With their lives as the price
History’s written today
Now that we are at war
With the axis again
This time we know what will come
6th of June 1944
Allies are turning the war
Normandy state of anarchy
Overlord

I've always wanted a beat boxer to go dum dicky dum dum. Who cares what real drums sound like?
@donepearce
It was different and we like to the find the different ones.
Well, it's different. Same as you though, there wasn't so much sounding like a guitar, just dum diiddy dum. Cool though.
