If I had a nickel for every time I saw a Dutch streamer playing Observation Duty 5 asking chat what a corkboard/bulletin board is in English, I'd have 2 nickels which is not a lot but it's weird that it happened twice.

@@pineappleparty1624 for a full time streamer building your own sound proof room is easy and cheap. For someone that makes money like Insym, hiring professionals to do it would be easier. Way more expensive but easier and looks good.

I like Gab Smolders too, she's played and replayed all the Observation Duty games a ton with a live chat and it's a similar energy. Coincidentally she's also Dutch and also had a moment where she had to ask chat what a corkboard was called in English.

My absolute favorite bit is the perfect mix of terror and uncontrollable joy whenever the huge man shows up. Absolutely golden
It literally took me 2 minutes of forward and backward skipping to compare the images, the stairway report, that everyone thought was the cross? It was an EXTRA RADIATOR! I was like, holy shit, that took so long to notice, even with 2 still image comparisons. It was pure evil...
I gotta say, I really miss the ghosts. They were super spooky and I'm sad to see them gone.

That is the most subtle shit... I spent a good five minutes flipping back and forth between the "before" and "after" and didn't spot it.

To get the visual of the eyes tracking the person looking at the picture, it's a receded media. "The eye are painted in on about an inch or so behind the rest of the image, so that the angle and perspective pushes a the eyes to track behind and gives the illusion they are moving separate to the rest of the painting.
When I see the elevator guys turn their head like that, I swear I'm waiting for Observation Duty to have them singing cavemen style. Itd be so funny and scary LOL

something interesting i found about the desk fans, if you pause the video, the blades stop. sounds stupid i know but that means that the creator made the fan blades an actual model that spins instead of using a motion blur type effect. i just find that neat

Something I've noticed is the men in the elevator look exactly like an intruder from Observation Duty 4 in the winter house, outside in the shed.
So that could be something lore-wise
They look like older women. They even have boobas. I guess looking off is apart of the game style.

Just a suggestion, but there’s a horror game coming out sometime (you’re probably already aware of its existence by chance) called Choo Choo Charles, seems like the kind of game you would enjoy playing.
Insym dunking on US light switches was hilarious, but I regularly use both and don't really see an appreciable difference 😅
ive only ever used flip switches and ive known about those push light switches for god knows how long but like, ive never actively wanted to live somewhere with push light switches.
The countdown to 6 at the end of the levels really do be a bop not gonna NGL

about the “real” lesson of school… i was a “gifted” kid and all i learned was that if i dont achieve something on the first try then i must be a failure. never learned how to prepare myself or how to manage time or how to face difficult tasks because of it. and having adhd made the whole thing worse, because instead of helping me work things out in my own way i was punished and scrutinized for the way that i am
That situation with the men in the elevator changing before someone got to that screen for the first time so they think an anomaly is normal actually happened to Gab. By the time she got to them they had changed to have shaved hair and she didn't think anything of it. Lucky she's a streamer and her chat knew so they caught it for her, but man if you were playing these games alone it would be so hard early on like that.

I have both kinds of light switches in my house, plus two different kinds of dimmer switches...
The best part with the old switches is if you put it near the middle, you can make a Phasmo hunt effect, and hear the crackly sound of the electricity being opened/closed...
But yes, I like slapping the wall more than tickling it :)

Quick reminder, you don't have ocd just because you don't like irregular tiles. You have ocd when (for example) you think you have to do something obsessively or repeatedly (like washing your hands or checking locks) because otherwise, something terrible will happen
I think there are actually a lot more anomalies that can kill you by themselves than you think. One example are most of the distortion anomalies (they're just really slow)

The imperial works. Yeah it's not the best but there's never really been a huge insensitive to change. We also learn metric especially if we go into a science field for college.
And as far as light switches go. It's not very hard to feel where the toggle is and just flip it the other way. We aren't so simple and impatient that we just want to flail our arms against a panel.

At 50:30 the anomaly was above the stairs, on the wall, you'll see a light reflection that wasn't supposed reflected on the wall
Edot: Also tbh, I really dislike the fact that people go to school to learn how to fit in with society and I just don't want to be another brick in wall and I want to follow my dream and I don't want to have the average everyday family life. I just want to follow my dreams and enjoy life. When I go to school and stuff, learned about art and how art can relate to some subjects such as math with geometrical shapes and writing, that describes certain detail. So its important to know some of the basic subjects because it really helps bring into detail of what you need to do to achieve your dream

I've seen and used a couple of different light switches, including both the flicking one and the flat one that you smack to turn on and off. I think it really just depends on who built the place and when it was built or remodeled because sometimes there are dimmable lights as well that have a turning knob (though my father usually does something to turn off that function because we don't use dimmable lightbulbs). There are also light switches that are remote controlled somehow either by a remote or by sound though I've really only heard about those and haven't seen it in use.

I believe the government is obligated to be able to cover it if someone were to convert all their digital wealth into physical, so there should be a 1-to-1 in circulation, but practically, most of the active wealth is going to be digital and the paper money mostly just going to be in storage.

Insym talks about putting something on another monitor to zone out to and that's what I am doing with him.
We also have light switches that are more like the flat ones you are speaking of. However those are usually only in higher end homes

I find it hard to believe you haven't seen ANY sitcoms. One I recommend is IT Crowd. I tried the office but I couldn't last more than 2-3 episodes. The show relies on cringe humor and it just isn't my thing. Michael Scott was just unbearable.

Before the other day I had only played the 3rd game, but brother bought me the whole series. Since then I've beat 1, 2, 3 (again), and most of 5. Still have #4 to play, but I'm really enjoying 5. I've got almost all the maps done, just have market left.

I am Astonished as to how long the Door Anomaly beneath chat on enterance has lasted.
7:30 was normal, 8:50 was roughly when the door changed. Mentioned a few times in chat, but gone unseen.
15mins, 22:10 chat begins to call it out a lot more, Insym notices it but shrugs it off as Normal (For most part)
25:05 I(18mins later) Finally clears the Anomaly door on enterance since people kept mentioning it nonstop.
