He knew what would happen if he looked but he got a great laugh out of it and so did 95% of the chat. Smart choice having the locations with many cameras have a simpler report system. Less hassle to get obvious anomalies done when you're having to keep track of more objects. With less cameras you'd have to pay more attention to what is out of place exactly.
I feel like this game is the embodiment of "a simple concept flawlessly executed". You just watch camera and see if things are out of the ordinary. It sounds so boring on paper, but little tuings like intruders and some scares make it SO good!
Same thing with Papers, Please. It's such a mundane concept that works because of how weirdly unpredictable it gets

It's crazy how the dev pays attention to what works and what doesn't with each iteration and then actually puts out a better game every time. OD5 is the best version by far. That's so rare! I love it.
Meanwhile, OD6 is considered the worst in the series even by Insym.

I’m guessing the dev’s motivation to use a bunch of cursed paintings is to make it so you have to pay more attention to how paintings start out. If they were all normal to begin with then there wouldn’t be a need to memorize how they normally are

The old report system is really in-depth, but the new one is also very flexible. Each with their own strength
Yeah! I love that each game always adds something new and not 100% exact same mechanics. Even if they all weren’t perfect like 3, it still had some cool stuff to offer!
@@tomboyhns2643 3's report system was pretty simple though. Being able to only see ghosts inside the phone was really nice but I feel like it's the least "observation duty" game of the bunch IMO

I am so extremely hyped for this game. All the new stuff, the old stuff, the easter eggs and secrets... I can't wait for them all!
To answer the question about locker size: When I was in school we weren't allowed to carry backpacks and had to store everything in our lockers. You had to go every class break to get new books, even though there was never enough time to do it. We were not allowed to carry backpacks because of school shootings. Girls were allowed to have small purses. This was in the late 90's.
And that's why I hated middle school!

you know what would be terrifying? if you spot an intruder just staring at you menacingly you hit the report button but continue to stare at it, it rushes towards the camera before switching to the "fixing anomaly" screen

Id actually really like to have audio anomalies in this game. For example you could have an anomaly that does the ding when it hits an hour mark except it can be 1. not enough dings for the hour (for example at 3am and have 1 ding) or 2. not at the right time. These would be REALLY interesting as their probably hard to find and you would be forced to pay EXTRA attention and attention to the time aswell as the things around the rooms.
I love the little TARDIS easter egg in the House's entrance, on the desk, it's tooo cute :D
I think locker sizes in America vary depending on the school, but typically most lockers will be big enough to story a backpack and a coat along with all of your books. Hence why they're so big, because teachers don't like students having those things on them during class because they feel the students may become 'distracted' with looking for things in their bags.
I've never had that issue, personally
Ok, wow. So when I played the game in the High School the instructions at the beginning actually went on a tangent about how even though Timothy is dead and exorcised, his influence is still spread.
Also as a side note in the Gym on High School there was already a change when you first inspected it. The pictures in the back had a person in a wheelchair when it was supposed to be a person lifting weights. Its classified as Other.
Edit: Lol, you even mentioned the Wheelchairing.
It's great to see the game from new perspectives like the first-person mode but this edition takes the original and improves just about everything. I was happy to see #5 but it's better than I expected!
Ah yes, HUGE MAN vs Skinny Prince. A battle for the ages. I'm rooting for HUGE MAN still as a loyal fan, but I have to admit Skinny Prince made a grand debut.

Interesting reading the chat how some people gaslight themselves over stuff that was the same from the very beginning (game room window, kitchen floor cracks, classroom chairs etc etc)

41:25 Schools that have that usually have that to signify their teams, so in theory that school would technically have a swim team. My school had one but they had to go to a separate place called the YMCA.
I noticed the tip said “Do not seek the secret. It will come to you.” So it’s gonna happen by random again.
I know that the core gameplay is relatively simple but one person making THAT many detailed maps across five games is crazy to think about. not to mention the massive amount of changes, along with generally good camera angles. definitely went all-out in areas that they could.
I'm gonna be picking these up on steam soon myself and keeping tabs on anything the dev plans to release because sheesh. that's a lot of effort for something that could've been done so much lazier, but was finished going above and beyond to give a genuinely good experience.

I work a 4pm-1am job. As soon as I saw this pop up in my feed at work, I wanted nothing other than to leave and both watch this video and buy the game. I'm a general manager, my work is about if not more 50% of my life, I have never wanted to leave work so bad XD

I feel so bad cause it isn't fair that the wheel chair painting on the wall of the gym wouldn't have been noticed since you didn't get to see it before it changed. (there is by the looks of it a 12 to 14 second grace period before stuff changes)

High School first Failure:
Corridor: Extra Propane Tank in the Corridor.
Classroom 2: All the Chairs on the opposite side of the classroom were pulled out (Object Movement)
Gym: Wheelchair Image on the back wall (That was not fair since it had already changed when you got there)
For the life of me I couldn't see the final anomaly for that first failure compared to my playthru.

Has anyone else noticed that (who I like to call) Shoes and socks guy (the fat naked guy with loafers on 21:29 48:49 1:25:07 ) appears in every single game in every map (except the house of the past). He never kills you, but he's always doing something scandalous and looks at you when he's caught. Harmless to the camera, but harsh on the eyes. He's focused on making himself at home instead of hunting you down.

hey so I have a game reccomendation: Wick, it's a spooky horror game in the woods. You, the player, go into the woods with your friends to play the game "wick", the woods where children disappeared. But they're not gone yet. You will stumble upon them one after one, but they're not here to give you a welcome-hug. It's a short horror game in fnaf time-style, you have to play the game for "6 hours" to survive, so from midnight till 6am. If you see this, maybe give it a try :)

This is so good. I like the extra challenge, that you not only run out of time, but also you just report to see if something has changed. It's so intense.

I live is the west part of the us, and our high school lockers are just as tiny as you described. Although the middle school lockers are bigger, im not sure why. Also no one at my high school uses a locker. Neither do I.

Markiplier struggled so much with the House map and Insym simply chose it as his first map and then completed it on his first try that's insane 😭
I know its not an anomaly, but the Map being upside down and mirrored in Classroom 1 aggravates me.
