Glad you finally put jam nuts on then weight jackers. Mid race self adjustment is a bad deal! My advice on bite, dont go over 150 lbs with this spring combo. Also next time you scale, add your full fuel weight at the end of the session so you know weather youre gaining or losing cross/bite numbers. This way you can better predict where the car will be as fuel burns off. Ive personally been anything from 10 to 20 lb bite difference over 5 gallons of fuel burn
It's getting fun now when you're learning new stuff like this , people don't understand the enjoyment you get out of all this , part mechanical an part science,, keep that mind working it'll pay off
If you are running a chain on the left front that’s limiting the travel on the lf. You will want to keep that in mind as you adjust the length of the chain.
Thats a good point. I am changing all the ride heights again this week and I am thinking I will set that LF back to 1.5" drop again at the new settings.
Curious as to where the 2000 lb target number came from? Why not more? Could lengthen lr chain but stiffen front more and get 2500lbs (just an example to clarify what I’m asking). As it is now it’s topping out chain on lr so that’s taking some off both the rf and lr. Just trying to wrap my head around it some
Ok So this is partly opinion and also some explanation where Mr Jay is helping me. When I am measuring the poundage on the RF it's not really at all about the spring or travel. Its how much grip that tire can make that pulls that spring down and the rate of the spring is dictating the amount of travel. So what I learned last Saturday is how the car would "hold" 1970lbs of grip in the slick at clayhill. Based on that I know for example if that track got some real dirt and had grip then I might want to go right back to that exact 15 1/4" measurement at 1970lbs and crank the jack to 2200 lbs or 2300lbs because the tire will hold and the car can carry more speed while going to the exact same 15 1/4" down spot. Thats where I am at in learning about how to use the data

It's guys like you who win races.
Yes, I am both going up on bite but also increasing the LR chain length. Probably going on the scales tonight and I bet I end up around 125 to 150 .
Bought my first car a month ago dude these videos help me out very thankful
Glad to hear that sir, and thanks for watching.

Learning new tech is like working a puzzle that keeps me going. Thanks for noticing the joy in it!
Jason you are kicking butt on this car
Plan is to do all we can to make this car a winner this season.
You are on point buddy I’ve watched you the last two years you are gone start winning I’ll put money on you
Man I hope so, sure workin at it.
Really enjoy your videos. Please continue to publish updates.
That is 100% the plan ;)
So glad to see You headed in the right direction.
A few wrong turns along the way but everyone of them taught me something too.
You're gonna be a car to reckon with at the Nationals.
I'm sure tryin!
Excellent video Jason! Love these setup and adjustment videos!
Awesome, thanks for watching and liking the video!
I’m going to try coloring the shock shaft next race . 👍
It sure tells a story for whats actually happening
I can't believe you didn't have the big fan running that's twice as wide as the one I got I put mine on whenever I'm working on something
I have to turn it off while filming or you won't hear anything I say LOL
950 RF nice!

How do u add bite to the LR I must of missed the episode of how to do it
Screw left rear jack bolt down?
Down on the LR and RF bolts and up on the LF and RR bolts will increase cross and LR bite without changing ride heights.
Hey Jason, do you sell those dirt race life tshirts? Looked at your website and didn't find them.
I redesigned our logo for the new skins this year and just ordered the new ones. Probably still be a few more weeks though
@@DIRTRACELIFE I'll keep checking. Thank you for the reply.

@@DIRTRACELIFE gotcha. Wasn’t meaning I thought you were wrong was just tryin to learn something
Me Too david 😀
That's a good way to explain the load number 👌
Tools like that do you no good if you don't use them, that's what there for but they can also get you in trouble !
Thats right, just a learning device and use it for that. dont depend on it. still have to listen to the car 😀
You need to find where the car works best and then fine tune
That's the plan ;)
Joe ham is fast but I think you got him now
Dude flys in that 3 car
Joe is pretty awesome but yeah we got enough now to give him some competition!
@@DIRTRACELIFE I'm a believer for sure
