Although it is often said that Gita encapsulates the core ethos of Hinduism , but are their authentic sources to support this commonly held opinion ? How can the centrality of Gita as a quintessential book of Hinduism be proved ?
The God of the Gita is Sri Krishna and it teaches how to live your life the Dharma way. Hindus worship Sri Krishna as God. I don't think any other religion worships Sri Krishna. Hindus have vast amounts of religious/spiritual literature and The Gita is the most important of them.
@@RouletteKing6 the god of the gita ... can be termed in two ways ... if you follow the path of bhakti it is indeed krishna .. but if you interpret it philosophically the "aham" krishna says everytime ... would mean the "I" the self ... like Pitah aham asya jagato ... mata ... dhata ... pitamaha vedyam .. pavitram ... omkar.... rik saam yajur eve ch the I the self is the father the mother .. the sustainer and the grand father in all it is the knowable, the pure, the omkar, ... it is also the knowledge (those contained in the veds and otherwise)
I have one question for you Doctor that why Krishna mentioned kapil muni as perfect man because he was founder of sankhya philosophy and he refused the concept of ishawara. He was preacher of rationality not of devotion.
kapil of the sankhya ... was the first to analyse the existence ... in to a logical order ... he is therefore great among munis regardless of what the philosophy of sankhya says and promotes ... it was a very scientific approach ... there is no absoluteness in hinduism ... just because one point of view is accepted ... does not mean that others are negated these are all called paths .. the paths may be different .. but once the top is reached ... the veiw .. is the same
He has respect for srila Prabhupada but there are also many good commentator of Bhagavad Gita beside srila prabhupada...Srila Prabhupada know the conclusion of Bhagavad Gita but he translated Bhakti yoga from starting of the chapter so many scholars avoid it but many scholars admit that it is a masterpiece...We need to read other bhagavad gita as well and you will know why Prabhupada is giving conclusion of Bhagavad Gita from the beginning of the second chapter...
No there are others also bro...There are other good translation also of other vaishnava acharyas...Don't think that Srila Prabhupada gita is the only one...Yes prabhupada depicted the conclusion beautifull in his gita but there are other good translation also ...Shankaracharya struggled a lot with bhagavad gita because according to gita Krishna is the supreme ,there is no doubt about it..Advaita philosophers failed badly in translating the middle six chapters..

Isn't it self evident? Dharma, Karma and Bhagwan ; How these concepts are understand even today match easily with Bhagavad-Gita.

There are two Lord Kapilas...
One of them you will find in Bhagwata Purana..
@@rupom448 it is still theory. May be purana came later who knows. Aur anything can be edited just to glorify it.
