Great song and vocal. It's hard to find one that really puts her voice to the test, one she has to reach for. They all seem so effortless for her. I'd like to see more that has the kind of energy we saw in "I Put a Spell on You". "I Who Have Nothing" tested her a bit but not many others. She does them flawlessly and they're great but I get the sense she has so much more available in her vocal capacity. She has started coming out more with her recent concert in Norway in the song, "Mount Everest". That surprised her fans. The lyrics were unusual for her but I felt the style and notes she hit there were like a coming out for her, a sort of announcement that she's not the child she was last time there in her home country. We always love Angelina. Great reaction.

As for the backing track, it was a rather cheap, basic karaoke track from SingKing I believe. The piano sounds hard, but still Angelina is able to turn it into something soft and beautiful. Can you imagine what she could have done with it in a studio ? I can't 🙂 Already at age 10 she made a demo recording of a song, and it is good enough to have made it high into the charts were it released. But it wasn't. And that recording is something you really HAVE to react to, because it will well and truly blow your socks off your feet. Not even joking here 😉 I'm talking about her "cover" of "I'm Still Holding Out For You". I put the word cover in quotation marks, because technically, Angelina was the first person to record it. For unknown reasons (some people say it's because her mother thought the lyrics were somewhat age inappropriate for a 10 year old girl to sing, but that is not confirmed). Luckily though, someone kept a copy of the demo and dropped it on RUclips as "leaked" 2 years later. No attempts were made to remove it, so it seems all parties are happy with it. One of the three original writers of the song, going by the artist name Baby Fuzz, recorded the song later, and it can be found on YT. Needless to say I guess, but Angelina made a MUCH better version/recording of it. React to it and see what I mean. You’re right, the song was WAY overplayed. John wrote a good song, but not a future classic. A bit too redundant for me. But, Angelina singing it I can listen to again.
