Although it’s not necessarily a uniquely Elvis song, Angelina’s version is certainly patterned after Elvis’ take on this “hymn”. Of course, Angelina sing it with her incomparably unique style. It is one of thos Angelina covers that will absolutely blow your doors off! ❤️👣
I understand what you mean about the Elvis connection, but as you watch more of Angelina you might find other singers that she connects with. Her arrangements, even slowed down, always seem to pay intentional respect for the original. She doesn’t emulate other singers, but she seems to be able to include their influences in her covers. We’re used to how great a singer Angelina was as a child, but was she 11 for that Elvis cover? I agree that it’s hard to pick a favorite, but just the fact we can compare this informal session with the stunningly good Suspicious Minds tells us how incredibly good she was as a child singer.
I think it was earlier. My guess it was when she was 8-9. When her adult teeth were coming in . Notice the slight lisp-whistle. This was definitely before I put a spell on you. I think all these reactions should list her age at the time of the recording as her voice has matured very quickly through the years. This may have been the weakest I have heard. Some of it due to bad recording .

She's only 12, I believe. Perhaps now (being almost 17) that she's done Suspicious Minds .. she'll have a few other Elvis' songs that interest her. I sure hope so because I thought that was brilliant. Hey josh, Angelina did several Home Videos with guitars Igor when she was living in oslo. She would call him up and ask if he could come over to record a few songs. Angelina would pull out a list of songs and ask him if he knew this one or that one. If he didn't know it, he would take about an hour to learn it and Angelina would pull up the lyrics on her cell phone or ipad. These songs are done in one take. If there was a second take it was because the guitarist messed up. As you can see, there are no do overs or Auto-Tune. I think this was recorded on her cell phone. Unfortunately that sound quality isn't the best. When she moved to LA, she did her home videos with Ivan mendez. In an interview with him, he explains how they did the home videos.
