Sooner or later everyone will realize that Angelina sounds better than every artist that she covers. If you can't wrap your head around that, then you continue to listen to the original artists, and we angels will continue to listen to our little Godsend Angelina.
One of the comments I read a while back was one of the best I've seen -- " God created Angelina so he can listen to her sing ". As you get to know Angelina more, I bet you would tend to agree. Asia, being a singer yourself, you can appreciate the amazing qualities that Angelina has. With that wave and smile at the beginning, it's like she's saying I have this song I want to sing for you. At the end, with that wave and smile it's like she's saying I hope you liked it. Such a cute kid, only 12 or 13 years old here.
Angelina's voice is like a drug, for real. It hits the pleasure center in your brain, and keeps hitting it. And no side effects except for spending all day listening to her.😍 Asia, your reaction was precious! BJ, she kills it every time, not only this time. Virtually every cover she does becomes the best version of that song.
Her pitch, her voice, makes everyone who hears her get the chills, tears run down their eyes. She just has the kind of voice that gets deep into your soul. She moves everyone who hears her sing. She moves me to tears and I’m not a crybaby. It’s that voice.

This isn't a favorite of mine. I almost didn't listen, but it's Angelina. She really pulls out the emotion . She speeded it up some, her tone and control is amazing. Love her.

It's one of the best current songs, and Angelina brings her special magic to a marvelous composition, adding her incredible low and warm tone, jazzy runs, and feeling. It's one of my favorites of AJ's covers. Thanks for your great reaction!
Angelina smiles, waves, gives us a little girl grin, closes her eyes then travels somewhere in her mind to amaze us with tone and soul that is tearjerking. She then returns back childlike with a sweet smile and wave and we're left stunned.

I think her cover of "How great thou Art" is even lower.
After watching all her performances and hundreds of reactions, the idea of "that voice fits the song" feels almost obsolete to me now when we're talking about Angelina. Everything on her voice like raspiness, vibrato, texture is something she can switch on and off and change at will. Almost like applying layers of filters in some kind of software.
The look in your face throughout the reaction totally reminded me of that one judge on NGT, totally mesmerized.

Asia and BJ, she really knocked this one out of the park. This was "in her pocket" as you said but her pocket is pretty big. Have you heard her sing country yet? How about "Song For A?"
She first chooses a song she likes and knows it's in her range. Then she reads the lyrics and decides what messages and/or specific words she wants to emphasize. And, if there are any parts of the lyrics which she believes are offensive and not appropriate for her she will either eliminate the line or use her artistic liberties to change a word or two. Although she honors the original song and the artist, at the same time there is no denying she is making it her own song. Thanks, guys! Really enjoyed your reaction. Fun, as usual (lol).

Nice reaction to the phenomenon that is Angelina Jordan. It's not that this song is perfect for her, it is that she adapts (perhaps better than any singer on the planet past or present) to the song in order to deliver the message it requires. You should listen to her Adele cover "A Million Years Ago". Tissues might be a good thing to have handy. Or her version of Gloria Gaynor's "I Will Survive", or AJ going country on "Nothing Breaks Like a Heart". All are examples of her adapting. Angelina is not called a prodigy for nothing.

We are so Lucky to be able to share in this young talent. Her talent is not just natural but its somthing she Loves and truly enjoys doing. That music is from the sole and from a pure Love of music. At 7 we watched "the bare foot Princes of Music" walk out on stage and captivate us with her ability to take Greatness, Make it her own and share it with a Joy and confidence. Now we see her as she matures. Just think of the possibilities. Now we have her own words, her own love of Music coming out, "Million Miles". A glorious emotional ride. A testament to loss, hers and all who here it and have suffered the loss of a loved one. Now I no longer see the bare foot princes, I see the new Queen of Music stepping in to her own. I hope the industry does not brake her, and I say, Long Live The Queen.
