- What is the most suspenseful, mysterious guitar chord of all time? Perhaps it's the "major minor 7" chord... Or maybe it's the good old suspended 4th chord. The sus4 chord is used in millions of great songs by artists like Tom Petty, Doobie Brothers, Allman Brothers, Pink Floyd, U2, and so many more. Learn all about suspended sus4 chords: how they work, where to play them up and down the fretboard, and when you can use them in songs.

So good. Thanks for taking the mystery out of the sus4 chords.
Thank you for watching and commenting 😀
This is my "aha!" moment video of the week! Filled with many, actually, for me. Your explanation about barre chords just coming from open chords and how to find the thirds.... brilliant! Thank you so much Blue! Just got your book and learning so much from you 😊
Thank you! Let me know if you have any questions about the book 😀
Hey that´s cool! Yeah I can hear immediately Tom Petty/ Mike Campbell 😁I love that sound! Thanks again!
Thanks! For sure it's a Petty, Mike Campbell sound 😀
Thanks Blue...very well done!
Thank again!!
What a fantastic video have a good weekend 😊
Thank you! You too!
Another great lesson Blue.
Reminded me to memorise the extra triad as well.
Keep up the great work - definitely one of favourite channels to enhance my playing
Awesome, thank you! More coming 😀
Gracias Blue!!! another great lesson!!!!abzz
Gracias José!!!
great lesson! id love for you to cover major and minor 6 chords sometime too! they really arn't talked about much even though the major 6 chord is quite common in blues music. Also i think they sound really interesting and are maybe more versatile and useful than they are given credit for.
Fantastic..
Thank you! 👍
You continue to make me wish that you were always my guitar instructor- I’d be so much farther ahead.
Thanks! If you're ever in Vancouver, give me a shout.
The interesting thing about the sus4 chord with me is that I was using it long before I knew the theory behind it; I must have hit it by accident, but once I learned the theory, used it consciously and it varies the music and songs professional.
Cool! I think that tends to happen 😀
A classic example of this; Filter's "Take a Picture"
Cool, much easier than the Sus 2! You should have more subs.
Thanks! Subscriber count is growing 😀
F sharp minor is the most suspenseful chord. Thats why they call it Devils chord 😮😮. 👍✌️✌️🎸🎸

Can sus be used in minor chords?

Guy makes nothing but useful, insightful videos...
Thank you! More coming soon!
I have electric guitars but I only dabble with them. They seem to be an entirely different beast.😂 I really need to start mixing it up.
(To be honest, I do better at buying guitars than playing them 😂) but that’s ok too.
Buying guitars can be a hobby in itself, I think a lot of us do that to some degree 😀
