I’ve been watching videos on RUclips for years and your videos are the first time I had that lightbulb moment I wish you were in Ontario thanks for your time put these videos together
I just clicked on this I really love the sound you're getting out of your combination. I've always been a straight up player just some reverb no pedals nothing else I'd like to try that sound you're getting I generally play off a strat but I have several other kinds of guitars but not a tele. Some Ideas would be gladly taken into consideration. I plug you everyday into a pretty much modern crate but ever since I was in high school which is in started nineteen-seventies my main day was a fender bassman which I just played clean channel still in great shape it's just a bit much to lug around .
@@tomstulc9143 Fender Bassman sure would sound good. But my back and arms can't lift it haha. I use a Deluxe Reverb, or even just a pedal ... the UA Dream 65. I can't tell the difference.
I feel like I've finally come across the right person to help me understand « the big picture», to explain it to me so that I finally understand. I've been watching guitar videos for years and I'm constantly improving and I'm already having a lot of fun, but now I understand the logic a lot better, how it works, how this language works. Seriously, a huge thank you from Quebec 🙏😄
I am absolutely devouring this lesson. I like how you just riff around the shapes instead of teaching a particular tune. One of my (many) flaws is once I learn a lick or a pattern I tend to go back to it instead of noodling around. In the past few days my noodling with this lesson has greatly increased my fret board knowledge. Perfect lesson at the perfect time in my development. Awesome job!
This may be the single most valuable guitar lesson I've ever learned! Connecting those chords to scale shapes... so effortless and easy! Thanks! You've unlocked something that I was missing. Been noodling around with ideas on this for hours now!
You are the best guitar teacher on RUclips. Your method makes it easy to visualize what notes in a scale to emphasize and makes it very easy to memorize. I just received your book today and am looking forward to spending a lot of time with it. I'm glad i stumbled upon your videos.
I certainly agree with a lot of the other comments! This is probably the most useful guitar lesson I have had in a quite a while! As soon as you mentioned the "let It Be" solo near the end of the video, the light bulbs went off for me! You lessons are excellent and thoughtful! Keep up the good work! I purchased your Soloing book and I have been using it regularly to compliment your online lessons!
Excellent, this lesson pieced together a lot of the things I knew in such a cohesive and useful way. Taking the shapes we all know and showing a simple and awesome way they can work together. Love it, I’m gonna use this trick all the time now haha
I subscribed from watching your most recent video and came back to this video from that one. Great and awesome lessons. This has helped me more than any other videos I've watched. I've been playing for about 3 years now.
Excellent explanation! Jimi did this effortlessly in all of his playing (double stops) and influence many of us by his natural approach to playing over the pentatonic shapes. Great job!
Genuinely one of the most useful guitar videos I have found on RUclips for a intermediate player! Currently launching into the rest of your videos and a book purchase. Cheers!
Outstanding. Really enjoyed this lesson. Can 't wait to practice this concept. I was all over the elements of this lesson, however, I could never put the puzzle pieces together until now. Game changer.
I have been playing guitar for 20 years, but Blue is simply a phenominal teacher and a lot of his ideas and techniques never occured to me. I Just bought his book 5 seconds ago to see what else I don't know. I still have trouble connecting the geometry, but just a few lessons here and I have made a major leap. Thank you for these awesome lessons and new way to approach guitar. Jake - Colorado.
This a great lesson. I've been playing more of the major pentatonic scales and was looking for a lesson dealing with where to resolve when playing a solo. Excellent.
Thankyou have been playing around with those licks for a long time but am self taught and just couldn’t put them together… also loved your thing on Gilmore chord tones … 🙏🙏
This is a great way to get moving around the fretboard and I found myself incorporating jazz chords within the pentatonic, which I usually struggle to do! Thanks!
Bud your way of simplifying this stuff just hits home so easily , I've been trying for a while to understand why this position works and understanding what your doing allows us to progress so much faster , awesome teaching
After all these years of playing at (?) guitar and looking at countless videos, you make more sense than just about anyone. I've seen several of your videos and each and every time you nail the explanation so that I get it. Good work!
Bravo!❤ I must say that it is an outstanding lesson of incredibly useful material.A lot to work through there but I can’t wait to get started. Thank you so much - loving this channel and you are among the best teachers on RUclips. Hope you reach monetisation so you can keep it coming. Like your style❤
Ho Blue I am a pretty much strummy old guitar player but I have learned more in the last 2 weeks since finding your channel and all the stuff I knew existed now makes sense. so thank tou so much. Again… Best teacher in my opinion on the web! On this lesson I find it always amazing that you can play for years and just not see the obvious connections as explained here.. thanks for “connecting” the dots for me on this lesson. Very helpful for adding licks into a 1/4/5… keep rocking!
This is one of the most helpful videos I've seen on RUclips for learning guitar! I've been playing for about 15 years with a 4 to 5 year break in the middle when my daughter was born. This just made something click in my mind finally and instantly made me a better guitar player! Thank you so much! I have one question still though. Is there a video teaching how to do this in minor keys? Thanks again!
Knew that this is possible with a good book that I had and never bothered to read until recently after years of immersing myself in RUclips guitar lessons and everything just came together for me. Thanks man
Truly! This approach for lead guitar solos is used by the Byrds, Beatles, Three Dog Night, and dozens of other groups. You explained this pattern very well! #guitartorah
I've recently discovered you and your lessons. Thankfully. You play beautifully yet you don't show - off. You put things simply yet they are a little piece of a big picture. We will get there with you. I normally don't write to teachers on RUclips. I felt I must. I guess I just want to communicate how much I like the way you teach. I'm staying on your channel. Thanks. And... PEACE from Philadelphia.
Thank you again. Amazing teacher. So far the best on YT. At least for my style of learning. It’s the same with cooking. My sister prefers step by step cooking books. I like concepts.
