Yeah the well doesn’t matter but they explained Morrigans knowledge as coming from Flemeth because of her blood relation to her, regardless of the well and inquisitor. Wouldn’t have changed much honestly besides maybe the inquisitor knowing something or maybe the inquisitor being the mythal guide instead of Morrigan here. That would’ve been cool.

@@hadoken95 Hello my dear, then lets start with the questions:
What happened to the organisations set up by the inquisition and the methods that where used to counter act Solas influence or spies? You could do multiple things in Inquisition, which seem to have no affect on the game but where teased as something big.
What was the reason for someone to drink from Mythals well if Morrigan in the end became Mythals vessel regardless? Whats the point in having a choice here when it has no influence on Veilguard?
What happened to the templar order? Its largely absent from the story and there are templars in Tevinter for example as well
Where is Stroud or Hawke or Loghain or Alistair or whoever went to the Wardens in Inquisition?
Where is the Hero of Ferelden and what happened with his search for a cure and the truth about the blights?
Where is Hawke, if he or she survived the Fade?
Why doesnt the Fade kill you anymore when it was lethal back in Inquisition and killed you almost immediately if you are not a mage?
What about the rite of tranquility and its use and true background? No mention in the game, it was a big story point for all of the games before and what happened to the tranquil?
What is the long term effect that was already teasered in Inquisition and decided in Origin on who becomes king in Orzammar?

Morrigan learns that she was never in danger of Flemeth taking over her body, in Inquisition. It was a misunderstanding. When flemeth died, she took that realization into account. Her body isn’t being used. She is her own person.

Morrigan absolutely hates Flemeth (in DAI at least lol), and even if she cannot take a body unwillingly, Flemeth was grooming Morrigan to accept her fate (just look at her Darwinist view of the world and how it was influenced by Flemeth in Origins, until Morrigan learns that there's more to life than Flemeth's cruelty). If Morrigan never left that hut in the Korcari Wilds her fate would've been this one, but in DAI her journey is explicitly about breaking the cycle of abuse and staying away from the ideals that her mother taught her, and Veilguard shits on it. Abusive mothers are never taken seriously in media and it's a shame.

To be fair, she misunderstood what Flemeth wanted to do. She thought Flemeth was going to take over her body and essentially kill her. Morrigan, a woman who has been terribly abused by her mother, who suffered physical and emotional abuse since she was a child at her hands, forgiving her after she appeared in a dream saying "Sorry :(" LOL. Morrigan in DAI explicitly said "I am many things. But I will NOT be the mother you were to me". Morrigan rejected that woman and her legacy (at least she did completely if the Inquisitor drank from the well, but if she drank it feels like a horror story for Morrigan honestly; being bound to your abusive mother whom you tried to escape and cut contact with, for eternity lol), she tried her best to stay away from that woman and wanted to be better than her. As someone who also has an abusive mother who I cut contact with, this feels like a slap on the face and so insulting to those who had to deal with abusive family members, jesus christ.

Morrigan similarly already rejected a "dream version" of her mother in a literal dream in Origins. If she's trapped in the Fade with you, a demon tries to appear like the Flemeth Morrigan supposedly wants her to be, and Morrigan repeatedly tells it off until it backhands her for disrespect, to which she laughs and triumphantly says that "that is more like it!"

Morrigan confirmed that Flemeth (the original one) was actually Andraste. Which makes no sense in the lore because Andraste was burned alive and Flemeth wasn't, after Onsen was killed by Lord Conobar she swore revenge and ran away to the Arbori Wilds and there she found the Temple of Mythal where she absorbed the "soul" of Mythal in a desperate attempt to avenge her lover and survive lol. Even so, my theory was that Andrastianism was a tale of actual elven history (About Mythal being betrayed by Elgar'nan) which was told over the ages by elves (The first Chant of Light was written down by a bard called Justinia who heard it from ELVEN SLAVES IN TEVINTER, Tevinter aka the nation that was founded on the remains of ARLATHAN) and later it was modified by the Chantry and others to fit their own agendas. Even Mythal, like Andraste, survives being killed and "resurrects" at the end. This game doesn't even respect its own lore LOL.

This is what they made out of a legacy character like Morrigan? For real? The writers actually have no fucking idea about anything from the lore of DA. That is for certain.
Also looks like they went the "Grey Warden is dead" ending here, were Morrigan never made the ritual? Kieran is retconned rofl. They really took the low hanging fruit there with getting rid of potential second legacy character AND one of the most beloved from Origins by literally killing them off. That by default would make Morrigan a very much distrusting person since she wouldn't understand motherhood. Ergo she would definitely not have forgiven Flemeth and taken on Mythal's memories that easily.
Well anyway, I believe I will just ignore this game ever exists. There is literally nothing but marginal expansions of lore. Some of the stuff is just horrendous to know even. So, no thanks.
