- DEATH BATTLE just pulled a Gravity Falls and left us a bunch of encoded messages and symbols on a zodiac wheel at the end of their last teaser trailer for Ant-Man VS Atom and Season 10. What could these cryptic symbols represent? Well, there's 16 of them.....so let's go wild! Here are my ideas and thoughts for what episodes or characters these images could be hinting at. A lot of these are out of the box guesses just for fun, so make sure to leave your own ideas for what they could mean in the comments below! We probably won't get any more revealed or confirmed combatants ahead of time now, but that's ok with me, cause this is so much fun. Hope you guys are as excited as I am!

The arrows are actually the symbol for shuffling, like shuffling cards so my guess is it's supposed to reference ash vs Yugi.
If it is a card-themed match then along with Ash vs. Yugi we could also get either Ace from Final Fantasy Type-0 in a match as the leader of Squad 0 does attack with cards, and magic-enhanced cards and focuses his spells through his deck of playing cards, and if it's Ace then the leader of Squad 0 will be taking on either the leader of Excalibur from Marvel Comics aka everyone's favorite card-wielding anti-hero mutant from New Orleans Louisiana Remy LeBeau aka Gambit, or everyone's favorite card-wielding anti-hero dark mage hunter/assassin for hire Twisted Fate from League of Legends but given we haven't seen Twisted Fate in any LoL material besides the main game, Legends of Runeterra, and Wild Rift, and if the rumors are true the upcoming tag-team fighting game Project L we really don't have any major feats and stats to go off of for him.
So my best guesses for the Shuffle symbol are Ash Ketchum vs. Yugi Motu or Ace vs. Gambit.
Yinyang could possibly reference a Touhou Matchup, most likely Reimu vs Yusuke and the pentagram could also possibly be John Constantine vs Raidou.
The recycle symbol dose fit both Captain planet and Aang, because Planet wants people to recycle and Aang is part of the Avatar CYCLE.

6:29 my money's on the Star symbol being a reference to the Joestar birthmark. But rather than referring to a specific Joestar character it represents JoJo as a whole, so the match would end up being Joker vs Giorno

Few notes.
1. The half black half white circle could also refer to the half moon phase. So the dark side of the moon and the light side. That could enforce the Vader connection, or infer a matchup based around lunar characters.
2. A symbol at the bottom representing what seems to be weighing scales. I interpreted it as either a Justice symbol, so perhaps Phoenix Wright. But I also realized it actually could represent Anubis. Anubis would mean a new mythology battle, which should be expected because the last one was received well, and it would be weird to leave it at one. Anubis vs Hades perhaps?
That’s all I got, but I think they’re worthwhile thoughts
People are saying possibly for the scales symbol will be Judge Jedd v Punisher.

Maybe the switching symbol is a reference to Loki, since switching sides is one of his things as the God of Mischief and one of the biggest wild cards in Marvel, and I think he's long overdue for a Death Battle of his own.
The arrow symbol is called a shuffle symbol. Could be referring to Yugi as you shuffle a deck of cards

It also could mean alternate timelines, and we already know Armstrong vs. Valentine is a VERY likely choice (My VERY LARGE doubts about fairness aside).
8:00 I think it’s meant to be a Lotus Symbol which could either mean Luz VS Anne (um, fuck yes please) or Lu Kang VS the killer instinct guy who’s name I can’t remember lol.
Based on what we know from the aired episodes
The beaker likely refrenced Stitch Vs Rocket Racoon as they were both genetic experiments
The pentagram most likely represents Raven Vs Pheonix
The wave could mean Katara is in this season.
I believe pentagram has yet to be aired, Phoenix and raven are probably the black and white circle, denoting their dark transformations and then the white transformations
The scale could also mean Punisher vs Judge Dredd. The water could mean Katara vs Juvia.

The “flower” might be a Buddhist symbol going off the thing in the center. Only problem is only Buddhist inspired character that comes to mind is Asura, and he was on the Ballot

@@dirtblock6489 it could also be Kung Lao VS Krillin. :) they're both monks who are best friends with the world's strongest man who became a god-like figure and have a weapon that can cut through anything. :) with Kung Lao, he has his hat and Krillin has the destructo disc. :)

At 9:03 with the recycle symbol, I admit I'm kind of stumped as to what it could be. But, maybe if we're to take it in a bit more of an abstract or metaphorical way given how some of these symbols are 'out there' in terms of meaning, maybe it is referencing the ability to reuse and re-create so... Steve from Minecraft perhaps? Just thinking of a possible idea in case they decide to throw a curve ball into the mix and surprise everyone.

There's a Death Battle that I'd love to see happen between two characters who represent the dichotomy of the half moon, both by walking the line between good and evil and by having names close to the moon

The match-up I would like them to do is Master Chief vs Samus Aran. Not because of the fight itself, because it's obvious that Samus stomps Chief, but because it could be a beautiful love-letter to Monty Oum, who's Haloid animation is what basically kicked off this whole genre of X vs Y, but it's animated.
For the flower symbol I've seen someone suggest it's the symbol from SMT and it's actually John Constantine vs Raidou Kuzunoha, an idea I had for the lines is that it's referencing alternate timelines and it's Eon Vs Kang.
The pentagram honestly got me thinking of witchcraft, and with that, Willow Rosenberg vs Hermione Granger!
Chad said to me in a requested video message that he liked that idea, and that the team wanted to do something Buffy-related. So, who knows? Maybe we'll get it! 😃

Okay I’m gonna give my thoughts on each of the symbols (or at least the ones we don’t know about)
Shuffling paths- this could point towards ash vs yugi because shuffling a card deck, or it could be a sort of parallel paths crossing probably referring to Rick Sanchez vs the doctor.
Dollar sign- this one could have many meanings to it but I think most of the community (myself included) believe this could be either mr. Krabs vs Scrooge mcduck or wario vs glumgold.
Lotus- the symbols appearance gives it this sort of magical relic feeling and the fact lotus’s are commonly associated with frogs this could be most likely pointing to luz vs Anne.
Recycling- this is probably gonna be something related to Captain Planet
Black and white circle- this symbol looks similar to a moon phase this could possibly be pointing to koro sensei vs monokuma.
Suit man- I’m on some serious copium right now so I’m going with dr Manhattan vs Richard Nixon, mainly because of how (in my opinion) the man in the suit gives off this cryptic kinda feeling which is what both characters are (if anyone reading this watched monument mythos you know what I’m talking about) but another idea I have is possibly a fight with slender man because he wears a suit and doesn’t have a face just like the man on the symbol but then again I don’t know.
I’m gonna give quick fire thoughts on each of the symbols
Skull and crossbones- jack sparrow vs Indians jones or white beard vs escanor
Star- the Kirby series has an affiliation with stars so perhaps Kirby vs rimuru or a meta knight matchup but the star can also point towards Rosalina because of her lumas, or it’s the joestar symbol and we’re getting joker vs giorno
Scale- I’ve been seeing a lot of talk about phoenix wright vs makoto but I’m not the biggest danganronpa expert so I’m going professor Layton vs phoenix
Pentagram- this has multiple meanings to it, one it could point towards the devil or have some kind of religious meaning perhaps bendy vs cuphead because bendy is an ink demon and the cuphead game literally has you go to hell. But anyways those are my predictions.
The suit could also be hinting towards Columbo vs Light, which is my most wanted match-up
The pirate symbol could also be Jack Sparrow. That plant symbol I'll throw a wild one out there in Poison Ivy v Kurama from Yu-Yu-Hakusho (highly doubt it, but cool idea).
I hate how generic and vague a lot of them are. The pentagram one alone has dozens of matches it could represent.

For the scales, I'd really like to see Judge Dredd vs The Punisher
Going with the idea that the recycling symbol is Captain Planet, I think his best matchup would be with The Toxic Avenger, even though I'm pretty sure it's a complete stomp in Captain Planet's favor. Or maybe this symbol could actually represent Man Thing vs Swamp Thing

I think the Pentagram represents John Constantine from DC Comics vs. Raidou Khuzonoa the XIV from the Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner Raidou Kuhzonoa games which is a highly requested matchup and the match theme is it's a battle between two OP, and highly intelligent spellcasting detectives who battle demons, and other wicked occult forces who have multiple beaten and outwitted demonic foes some of which are at multiversal levels of power multiple times.
One of those is a recycle symbol and Vergil was spotted in the trailer. I wonder what matchup that is. Totally definitely not super obvious.
Honestly, I get the feeling that the water represents Katara (last airbender) vs Juvia (fairy tail). It’s a highly requested fight, and it’s been a while since we had a character from the last airbender and fairy tail as both of their most recent episodes came out back in season 7 with gray vs esdeath and zuko vs todoroki
- the two swords can be Kirito vs Neo.
- the switch symbole can be nezuko vs aphonse.
- the star fight can be star Fox vs rocket racoon.
3:16 this symbol is called duality and it represents the good and the bad side of people, so it fits Vader and obito greatly.
As for the arrows, I think they represent characters who did a whole 180, for example one of them started good but became evil and the other one started evil but became good.

I'm personally thinking the lotus is representative of Anne vs Luz, since Anne has a pretty heavy lotus theme, but since that only works for one character I'm not sure about it (there's always a chance the symbols could be matching in some way, like if the pentagram on the other side is representative of Luz, but that would throw off all the other symbols and would only leave us with 8 teased matchups so that's probably not what's up)

What if the guy in a suit isn't referring to someone fashionably dressed, but rather someone known for wearing a suit. (As in a suit of armor). Blue Beetle is getting a movie this year after all.
8:33 I believe that flowers is talking about Ruby Rose VS Maka Albarn because:
- Rose is a flower
- This year is RWBY's 10 years birthday (if we don't count the first trailers)
- Volume 9 focus a lot about Ruby's traumas
- Ruby VS Maka is probably the most requested RWBY Match-up for Death Battle

If I'm not wrong, Rooster Teeth confirmed something about Volume 10 being the last Volume if they got money or something like that to continue with the show. I think this situation is similar to Jason Vorhees VS Michel Myers: both mu's have/had the perfect moment to become true on Death Battle. It's a good oportunity to do this fight. I conpletely agree on the fact there's a high possibility to have a RWBY episode this season given the 10th anniversary. But since RWBY ain't ending anytime soon, Ruby vs. Maka will have to wait for another season. This is just a guess but I think the battle with the circle with the science beaker and spikes is could also be Doctor Octopus VS Mr Freeze as they are both scientists and the spikes could represent ice needles. But again that’s just a guess it probably is Bowser VS Eggman.
I'm pretty sure you'll mention it later in another, but the encoded texts sound like hints for some matchups and each of the five had a keyword in order Melee, unlucky, tree, pantheon, and carousel. Like for example "The end will come from what begins" keyword: pantheon sounds like Zeus v Odin, but when we look at the board the closest thing related is that plant symbol. However, that plant symbol is the Hindu pantheon (are there any good Hindu matchups?). Another obvious clue is "a dark reflection of the past" is clearly the light-dark symbol, which sounds like Darth Vader v Obito. The "X people out" sounds like Gambit v that Hunter x Hunter character for his matchup and "Kill them all violent" sounds like Guts v Claire, but for both I don't know what symbol would be best. Edit: I later realized that a more likely Kirby matchup would be Rosalina vs Magolor since both the Mario movie and Kirby's Return to Dreamland Deluxe came out earlier this year. Plus, the latter of the two introduced the Magolor Epilogue, a post-game story mode that added onto Magolor's lore and could potentially give Death Battle an easier time analyzing his scaling and abilities.
Again, this prediction is probably wrong and the star symbol is most likely a Jojo character (to which I would predict a matchup involving Jolyne or Pucci as Stone Ocean is rising in popularity among the Jojo fanbase), but if it is one of the matchups I've listed here, then I'd be curious to see how Death Battle interprets the characters they select.
Yin and Yang are opposites, so that has to be a battle between two characters who contrast each other. For me, there are quite a few I can think of that fit that.

Gorr the God Butcher VS Zamasu: a mortal who wants to eradicate all gods VS a god who wants to eradicate all mortals
Gorr VS Saint Walker: a man who lost all hope VS one who still has it
Megatron VS Frieza: Frieza conquers to expand his iron grip on the universe whereas Megatron (in some versions) conquers planets to harvest their energy to help Cybertron.
Mewtwo VS Tetsuo:
Mewtwo saw the error of its ways whereas Tetsuo didn’t.
Mewtwo is serious and calculating while Tetsuo is arrogant and power-hungry.
While both were ‘born’ from generic experimentation, Mewtwo was actually born in a lab whereas Tetsuo was naturally born but gained his power through genetic experiments.
