Like both the shuffle and the question mark are for different characters and the whole puzzle itself is ment to represent Bill as it was a big thing for Gravity Falls fans and a way for the characters to defeat Bill. It's probably not, but I think it could be a fun little suprise episode reveal that has some amount of forshadowing

Giorno wins? Persona fans are gonna get pissed and bring up how “Joker has resisted stuff similar to GER” or Satanael. Joker wins? JoJo fans are gonna be typing 100 words per minute explaining why GER should’ve beaten Joker. Simply put, it’d be really interesting to see what the like to dislike ratio would be after the premiere if Susan didn’t remove the dislikes.

@@elijahhayter3026 It's kind of a weird MU because of the countless upon countless ways you can not only set up Joker in the game but also just trying to integrate not only Joker but the other protagonists from Persona in to a VS battle. Yes Giorno can put Joker in to a death loop but it doesn't mean a whole lot if we consider that you can make Joker resistant to every attribute and attack type in his series (Including instant death attacks/spells, with the only exception being Almighty attacks), same goes for the other protagonists. I love both series and time will tell how they will go about it whether they make the most OP version of Joker possible or if they use say the Manga or Anime version of Joker which is significantly less BS then game Joker, who knows, but either way im hyped and I love both of them, I will be both sad and happy for whoever takes the W if it does end up being a MU for this season.
@@WeebSenpai2431 Giorno can only put Joker in a Death Loop if he kills him with GER. If Joker simply just puts on a reflect phys persona or uses an ointment Giorno dies. It's not even a fight whatsoever, when Giorno even tries to punch Joker or any Persona Protag he would immediately get reflected. And his punches wouldn't even do any damage to Joker, the games show him tanking some really powerful attacks and moving at speeds faster than light(each turn is equal to a second according to Digital Devil Saga). Though we know that Death Battle uses the Animated versions of the characters for Persona and not the games and I don't know any of Joker's feats in the animation since I didn't watch it.
@@ribsmeat2333 You're 100% right, but I didn't want to start another war about this MU and be pegged to either Giorno or Joker. In a fight like this where I enjoy both characters and series im just grateful to get this sort of MU if it is happening this season. I watched like 6 episodes of the P5 anime before dropping just cause I didn't find much enjoyment from it, they don't really go in to Weaknesses and Advantages all that much, it only really shows up in bigger fights like The Reaper, and beyond that a lot of Joker's big feats are never really showcased properly from memory so that's why im holding my breath that they include the game's content. Plus Royal Stuff wasn't around when the anime was made.
@@ribsmeat2333 I think it can be argued that certain attacks from series outside of the SMT franchise would be considered almighty (especially since some skills that look like they're physical are considered to be almighty like Murakumo in SMTV). At that point it would just be about scaling these characters which is a complete clusterfuck due to cosmology shit.
Gotta disagree with the flask being Alex vs Cole as that one fits the Ying Yang symbol and the half filled in circle better as they are characters that start in the grey morally but go separate paths are the end with Cole turning good and Alex evil. For the Flask it might be Bowser vs Eggman giving the spikes surrounding the flask.
Nah man it doesn’t make any sense they are the ying yang at all, I mean the flask literally represents Cole and Alex being bio weapons of mass destructions that got their powers from mad scientist trying to figure out weapons of mass destruction, the blacklight virus and the ray sphere in hopes to create super soldiers which in each universe they ultimately succeeded having D-Codes and Orions in prototype and the Vermakk 88 and DUP in infamous, they are direct products of lab rat tests. It makes all the sense of the world that they are the glass flask vial thing, and for egg man vs bowser I figure egg man shouldn’t be represented by a glass but by gears or a engine since he is all about robots
That's a pretty good guess for the flask that I haven't heard yet. I think many people just think of generic science MUs but this actually gives an explanation for the weird spike ring.

I do think the lotus is representative of Anne vs Luz, if only because it's positioned directly opposite a pentagram, which would fit well for Luz, but seeing as (as far as I can tell) none of the other symbols correspond to symbols on the opposite end of the cipher (aside from potentially Captain Planet vs the Toxic Avenger?), that could just be me misinterpreting this...
I don't have any clue about the symbols, so I'll just note some things that I thought up or noticed. 1) At the start of the trailer, there's text under the screens that says "IT IS NOT WHAT IT SEEMS" 2) My take for melee + silent would be a sneaky assassin, like Agent 47 (hoping he's not against the Spy) 3) The only thing I can think of for carousel + reflection would be a clown copying another character, but no one comes to mind.
I'm not a fan of the series, but Kingsman has a lot of cool weapons that I could see it being apart of the Suit Symbol. The suits are a big part of that series, and another James Bond or maybe Jason Borne. Or it's The Doctor from Doctor Who.
Scales is gonna be Phoenix Wright vs Saul Goodman. The battle takes place in the kingdom of Khura 'In, where if a lawyer loses a case, it gets the same punishment as the defendant.
My copium is that the half black half white circle is actually an eclipsing moon and that it’s for Dimitri Vs Guts. That’s my most wanted matchup at the moment
I think "X people out but keep it silent" might be another hint that Monokuma is coming to Death Battle since when someone dies in Danganronpa, they get a memorial picture with an X over their face and the gimmick of the class trial is to not be caught. I'm willing to bet that the Taijitsu is Cole vs Alex and that the scales could be hinting at The Judge vs Sans. Also, I'm almost 100% sure that the beaker surrounded by a spiked ball is hinting at Bowser vs Eggman since one is a spiky boy and the other is a scientist. And since I have online brain damage, I want Captain Planet to fight Orochi from King of Fighters because A) that fight has actually good connections and B) the idea of the strongest KOF character fighting Captain Planet is really funny.
Both are beings called upon by the Goddess of Earth Gaia in order to fight back against the destruction of Earth by humanity with both of them having groups of allies that control the elements with most of those elements being the same (Aside from the Planeteers not having an electricity user and the Orochi Clan not having a water user).
Honestly, Captain Planet vs Orochi is one of those death battles that when you first way it doesn't make sense but when you do think about it, It fits ALOT

For the lotus symbol, you mentioned "white lotus," which is the name of the organization from ATLA. This makes me think that matchup might be Iroh versus someone, either another super chill mentor character or another unassuming badass. I haven't seen seen Amphibia or Owl House (I believe those are the shows those characters are from), so it could connect better.
If the text refers to matchup, the Dark reflection of past I'm guessing is Dark Pit vs. Dark Samus but that's pretty on the nose. Dark versions of past contestants with decent enough connections. I think the Pentagram is probably just Spawn v Ghost Rider but I also thought it might've been Trigon vs. Dormammu/Mephisto. I've heard a lot of people say the violent kill line is Guts vs. Dimitri which works, but honestly that line is pretty generic and could apply to a bunch of different matchups. Guts vs. Dimitri is a pretty good guess though.
@Sar that's fair but imo the connections are fine enough even if they're purely Smash based. Echo fighters who are dark counterparts of their more iconic doubles who debuted long before them on the NES. I think Cell is DS's most popular matchup, both being parasitic alien life forms who feed off/corrupt their primarily technology-focused prey. That fight is also pretty good and is basically just stats vs hax. The most thematic fight might be a similar story beat one. An alien entity colliding with a planet and feeding off of it leading to a corruption of the area and eventual societal collapse of the planet's inhabitants (the chozo of Tallon IV) but I can't really think of any good opponents for that right now. The connections for Dark Samus v Dark Pit are pretty surface level but I think they're fine enough. I do think that Dark Pit is not the most popular opponent for Dark Samus but he is imo the safest one.
About Guts vs Dmitri it's important to nore that the keyword to that was "Unlucky". So it could be copium. But it also just makes it feel more like Guts.
The spiky ring with the beaker could also be Bowser vs Eggman if you see the circle as a spiky ring. Though then again, I’m not sure if a beaker represents eggman well since he’s a mechanic and not a chemist. Carousel + dark reflection could be joker vs green goblin since joker in a good amount of media sets up base in an abandoned carnival that has a carousel while dark reflection could be referring to how green goblin is a dark reflection of Norman Osborn, sort of like how in the 90s cartoon and Raimi series, he speaks to goblin through a mirror, like a literal dark reflection.
The man in the suit symbol OBVIOUSLY indicates that Benson from Regular Show will be in Death Battle. Why? In one episode, Benson finds a fancy suit which he decides to wear. Later he realizes that the suit is a separate entity and they do cool spy stuff. So yes, Benson will be in Death Battle, and he will fight Hulk

Some of my guesses: $ sign: This is probably only because I just finished rewatching Diamond is Unbreakable with my friend, but I could maybe see the dollar sign representing Okuyasu Nijimura for pretty obvious reasons. I don't think he's a particularly requested character, but he does have a couple of match ups and I think he'd make for a really fun episode due ti his stand. @@elijahhayter3026 It's kind of a weird MU because of the countless upon countless ways you can not only set up Joker in the game but also just trying to integrate not only Joker but the other protagonists from Persona in to a VS battle. Yes Giorno can put Joker in to a death loop but it doesn't mean a whole lot if we consider that you can make Joker resistant to every attribute and attack type in his series (Including instant death attacks/spells, with the only exception being Almighty attacks), same goes for the other protagonists.
I love both series and time will tell how they will go about it whether they make the most OP version of Joker possible or if they use say the Manga or Anime version of Joker which is significantly less BS then game Joker, who knows, but either way im hyped and I love both of them, I will be both sad and happy for whoever takes the W if it does end up being a MU for this season.
@@WeebSenpai2431 Giorno can only put Joker in a Death Loop if he kills him with GER. If Joker simply just puts on a reflect phys persona or uses an ointment Giorno dies. It's not even a fight whatsoever, when Giorno even tries to punch Joker or any Persona Protag he would immediately get reflected. And his punches wouldn't even do any damage to Joker, the games show him tanking some really powerful attacks and moving at speeds faster than light(each turn is equal to a second according to Digital Devil Saga).
Though we know that Death Battle uses the Animated versions of the characters for Persona and not the games and I don't know any of Joker's feats in the animation since I didn't watch it.

I watched like 6 episodes of the P5 anime before dropping just cause I didn't find much enjoyment from it, they don't really go in to Weaknesses and Advantages all that much, it only really shows up in bigger fights like The Reaper, and beyond that a lot of Joker's big feats are never really showcased properly from memory so that's why im holding my breath that they include the game's content. Plus Royal Stuff wasn't around when the anime was made.
@@ribsmeat2333 I think it can be argued that certain attacks from series outside of the SMT franchise would be considered almighty (especially since some skills that look like they're physical are considered to be almighty like Murakumo in SMTV). At that point it would just be about scaling these characters which is a complete clusterfuck due to cosmology shit.
Gotta disagree with the flask being Alex vs Cole as that one fits the Ying Yang symbol and the half filled in circle better as they are characters that start in the grey morally but go separate paths are the end with Cole turning good and Alex evil. For the Flask it might be Bowser vs Eggman giving the spikes surrounding the flask.

1) At the start of the trailer, there's text under the screens that says "IT IS NOT WHAT IT SEEMS"

3) The only thing I can think of for carousel + reflection would be a clown copying another character, but no one comes to mind.

For the lotus symbol, you mentioned "white lotus," which is the name of the organization from ATLA. I think Cell is DS's most popular matchup, both being parasitic alien life forms who feed off/corrupt their primarily technology-focused prey. That fight is also pretty good and is basically just stats vs hax.
The most thematic fight might be a similar story beat one. An alien entity colliding with a planet and feeding off of it leading to a corruption of the area and eventual societal collapse of the planet's inhabitants (the chozo of Tallon IV) but I can't really think of any good opponents for that right now.
The connections for Dark Samus v Dark Pit are pretty surface level but I think they're fine enough. I do think that Dark Pit is not the most popular opponent for Dark Samus but he is imo the safest one.

About Guts vs Dmitri it's important to nore that the keyword to that was "Unlucky". So it could be copium. But it also just makes it feel more like Guts.

Carousel + dark reflection could be joker vs green goblin since joker in a good amount of media sets up base in an abandoned carnival that has a carousel while dark reflection could be referring to how green goblin is a dark reflection of Norman Osborn, sort of like how in the 90s cartoon and Raimi series, he speaks to goblin through a mirror, like a literal dark reflection.
The man in the suit symbol OBVIOUSLY indicates that Benson from Regular Show will be in Death Battle. Why? In one episode, Benson finds a fancy suit which he decides to wear. Later he realizes that the suit is a separate entity and they do cool spy stuff.
