      The bendy flanges? What were you making

    • @denishogan
      @denishogan 4 месяца назад

      @@Speed.Developments Yeah. Lots of sprinter parts - inner sills, vertical supports for the panels where they join the inner sills - lots of curved parts.

      @@denishogan ye it's works well, kink the fold til you get the right curve. Clap it to something and hammer the kinks flat. Much better control over the shape of the curve

    Bolting seat brackets to the floor like that is a good solution for the bigger boys. Not mad on the tube style for myself, leaves a lot of headroom on the table. Maybe adds a little bit of weight though.

    • @Speed.Developments
      @Speed.Developments  4 месяца назад +1

      @@mikeymoynihan8395 the big FIA 35mm seat bars are fairly heavy. There would be a bit in it alright but not that much.

    • @mikeymoynihan8395
      @mikeymoynihan8395 4 месяца назад

      @@Speed.Developments very true. Would you weld a nut on to the 3mm at the bottom or use a typical backing plate?

    • @Speed.Developments
      @Speed.Developments  4 месяца назад +1

      @@mikeymoynihan8395 well there is a permanent backing plate there now, so wouldn't need a backing plate on a backing plate. A welded nut would be a good job alright. I didn't have the seat so did know where to drill the holes and it's painted now. Probaly just a nut and washer now

    Im fairly sure for both historic and j class cars they must retain all original floor and suspension points as raced in group n of 1970s aka show room class

    Nice video mate 👍. Was wondering though don’t you need diagonal bar behind driver on the centre hoop?

    • @Speed.Developments
      @Speed.Developments  4 месяца назад +1

      @@anthonymiller4004 no its not compulsory here yet. We only need 1 diagonal bar in the rear stays, (this car has an X in the stays) And 2 door bars. Everything else like X in the hoop or in the roof is a optional extra.

    I hate when people insist on welding on their videos, it's bloody difficult to watch, it affects my eyesight so much I have to look away, it's pointless showing it.

      @@fivedotsdave9723 ha i know what you mean, think it just instinct to not look at it if your use to welding. But it's only white light coming from your screen, maybe it the sudden flash on that's hard on the eyes
