- The Everly Brothers are Tennessee Ernie Ford's guests on his Thursday, April 13, 1961 NBC-TV Ford show. Broadcast and thankfully preserved in living color.
The Everly's perform "Lucille" and "Walk Right Back". Ern joins them for some comedy and a duet on "Rattlesnake Blues" and "Bird Dog."
Tennessee Ernie was a very versatile talent and an engaging host. A country Como if you will. God Bless his pea pickin' heart.
So happy to hear their talking voice. It's so gentle and beautiful❤️
Ernie Ford LOVED the Everly Brothers and did all he could to support them, having them on his show early and often. And the Everly Brothers loved him, too.
They never forgot Mr Ford and played at His roast 50 years later heart touching.
@@cjdmiracle they were before my time but they seem wholesome brother duo haven't seen any like them since .
I wish the Everly Brothers, could have stayed this age Foreverly.
Here here my thoughts exactly
I enjoyed every bit of that the Everly Brothers and I enjoy Tennessee Ernie Ford he was one of the best
Good LORD bur they were drop dead gorgeous.
What fun they were together. Loved them all, watched Ernie all the time when a kid with the folks. Great tune and fun to hear after all these years. Bless them all...RIP

Three part harmony with the Everly Brothers and TEF . . . doesn't get much better than this! RIP Phil and Ernie.

this was a real treat!! so much fun. they were real entertainers!!!!!
Three people playing the same guitar is freakin awesome, ive imagined if anybody's done it before but never saw it done
Jared CraverThe Everly Brothers father Ike and his two brothers won a contest doing it. He taught his boys how to do it. There is a video “The Everly Brothers Songs of Innocence and Experience” where they talk about it. They actually performed it twice on The Tennessee Ernie Ford Show in 1960 & 61. Both clips are on YT.
so young and so handsome ..love them...
the old school entertainment! real musicans and live music - not like today!
RIP Phil!
How cute they were, they must have been so cute together singing as babies.
God bless his pea pickin' heart, indeed…and those of the Everly Bros.
Loved watching this , I watched Ernie Ford as a child and the Everly's were fantastic when they appeared on the seen
Ernie was a magical soul!
Cut loose!
Great show. So fun to see.
Wow, they were so good, I needed the muffed lyrics to know they weren't lip synching!
In a thousand years, scientists still won't be able to figure out how those boys harmonized so well.
IMO their being brothers had a lot to do with it.
EXCELLENT🌟 FABOULOUS🌟 AWESOME 🌟OUTSTANDING 🌟AMAZING🌟
gosh dang the sixtys were fun!!!
Wow! That was great! Thanks for posting this
This was awesome!
love the Everlys and Ernie T Ford
I've seen this several times and I never get tired of watching! Love it when they all play the guitar at once!
wow this is so great
Did any body notice that phil missed up on a note and Don looked at him.
So cute.
It was Don who got the lyrics wrong haha. Regardless, I agree Phil's reaction was so cute.

I love this music
Goosebumps.
Holy s*** that is good! Clash of the Titans. What an arrangement. Wow.
That Ernie Ford was funny.
Tenn Ernie & The Bros had similar roots, so Ernie was right at home singing w/ them. But then, the great Ernie Ford could sing anything - classically trained at Cincinnati Conservatory!
phil was totally shy there XD
Awesome!!!
Enjoyed!
Fantastic !!!
This is wonderful viewing,great memories.
19 people too cruel for leaving a dislike.
this is certainly old school
I love this 💕
Warms the soul
Lucille isn't the same without the microphone distortion. The harmonies were nice.
Lucille, you don't do your daddy's will
Lucille, you don't do your daddy's will
well there's nothin' to ya, but I love you still
Lucille, please come back where you belong
Lucille, please come back where you belong
I'm beggin' to you baby, please don't leave me alone
I woke up this mornin', Lucille was not in sight
I asked my friends about her, but all their lips were tight.
Walk right back
I want you to tell me why you walked out on me
I'm so lonesome every day
I want you to know that since you walked out on me
Nothing seems to be the same old way
Think about the love that burns within my heart for you
The good times we had before you went away, oh please
Walk right back to me this minute
Bring your love to me, don't send it
I'm so lonesome every day
beautiful.
This was a lot off fun to watch. Thanks for the upload
Tennessee Erie Ford was from Bristol, Tennessee and the Everly Brothers went to West High School in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Only Don was born in Kentucky. Phil from Illinois.
Phil was born in Chicago.
The Crew up in Kentucky.
10 january 1959 .
1:14 - 1:44 Don has such bad@ss body language. this entire post is great. xo
msmooreski1 Don was always the "bad boy" and Phil was always trying to
straighten his big brother out, but Phil had to be the one to pass first. Life ain't
fair, is it? I miss these guys so much it hurts!
Süss.....noch so blutjung und nicht so erfolgsverwöhnt😊
Os precursores dos estilo Beatles e outros. maneco - Brasil.
At about 3:52 Ernie says "Don you two were born in Kentucky, right?" Don yes "yep." I remember Phil's obit saying he (Phil) was born in Chicago, not Kentucky. Don was born in KY, and I think their parents are from there, but technically Phil is a yankee! Who whudda thunk it?
Del Stanley But Phil was raised in Kentucky.
Del Stanley Brothers from different states. Wow
Yes; that's right. Don was the Everly who was born in Kentucky, but Phil was born in Chicago, Illinois after the family moved from Kentucky. The family moved a lot, on to Shenandoah,, Iowa and Knoxville, Tennessee.too. but if uou listen closely you can hear the slight difference in accent between the two brothers.
Rip Don x
Die konnten alles😊😊😊😊

The video filter effects keep making me think of the "Pennywise Dance". **CRINGE!**
So much fun I really enjoyed it you can tell Ernie really enjoyed working with Don and Phil
