That last medley they played was so good - very well arranged and very contemporary for that time. Such an unusual combination of songs but it all worked. Very slick.
Oh, WOW…..Good job, Sam! I watch this video frequently, so I see you a lot! I’ve seen you in other videos of theirs, too. Oh, the memories you must have!
How good is the medley from 8:29! Talk about versatile singers! You can understand them getting tired of the hits they played earlier in the video though, as good as they are.
Nah come on the medley was CRAP ! Especially their version of "The End". And i'm a huge fan on the EB ever since i was aware of them since the late 1970s.
Oh Wow... @8:27 that medley at the end was Incredible!! I've been a follower of these guys since the 50s and this was one of the most genuine performances I've ever seen from them. Just natural and soulful and the harmonies were phenomenal in these songs... I would so love to hear (and see) more like this, but I love everything they do. The amazing Soundtrack of my youth 🎼🖤
Brilliant melody…arrangements, voices, guitar playing. They were willing to adjust to the new world. We just wouldn’t let let them out of the box we put them in.
Polly B still listening in Jan 2024 . This was the first record of theirs that I bought ,played it. On a two tone Dansette record player !How times change but the Everly Bros will go on forever .Always love them ❤❤😊😊
@TheBonzy76 - This is a very rare color clip that very nearly shows just how handsome and talented they were! Good-looking, smart, perfect harmonies. That much charisma should be against the law!
Right on for this performance!!! A little different for them but it was the 70s - maybe they were trying different arrangements!!! I liked Phil the best - his sweet nature!! RIP dear man ❤️🙏
Though this video shows both Don and Phil looking and sounding really great, it’s Don who blows the top off the volcano 🥵 - particularly in the Price of Love medley. I mean…WOW! Not to mention - he is the most beautiful guy EVER…
@judeward5341 - Like Catherine and Meghan, the vote is always divided between Don's looks and Phil's. Is it any wonder that so many women wanted to marry both of them at the same time?
Man that stuff with the band is GREAT!! Very Buffalo Springfield sound, also kinda like the Monkees at times...were they putting out music like this on records does anyone know?
Don't know how I missed the fantastic medley beginning at 8:26 when I was a kid. So glad the drummer got to share center stage with them. He was tearing up those drums.
I recently was telling a young guy about who the Everly Brothers were, but it was like tryin’ to tell a stranger ‘bout rock’n’roll, if you know what I mean!
@@EverlyBrothersInternational I will DEFINITELY do that. Thankyou and I will promote you as well to All my friend and family ❤️ I will have to look later though because I am working on an appeal right now. My apologies .
At this time they had been singing & recording for 13 yrs (since ‘57), Phil doesn’t look particularly happy!! It seems to me that Don hogs the mic & chatters more than necessary - like he likes the sound of his voice!!! Lol 😆. And, Phil just goes along with it!!! Mmmm!!
Actually in reality, they'd been working together for over 20 years. Not just since 1957 but more like since 1945 when they were still children. This was getting very close to the public boiling point where one smashed his guitar as he left the stage in anger.
@sueadt8421 - Actually, I didn't notice any of that. I can't even find an "interview" in this clip. What I see is how much both of them are loving the music and the magic of their own special talent and sound. At the very end, Don said that even after their second split over politics, he always thought of Phil every day, whether they were speaking or not. And he said when they sang together, it was like reading each other's minds. And that is exactly what I see here.

Two wonderful singing voices and the most handsome men. Happy birthday
Have you ever heard such a sweet voice as phil....both are great.
Awe, they’re both so damn precious and talented.
The medleys of our youth! ❤. Wonderful memories, and yes voices of angels!

Perfection.
Wow… interesting medley at the end. Kudos to the fabulous drummer, too.
Albert "Tiny" Schneider on drums and the late Bob Knigge on bass.
Games People Play was just amazing! This whole collection was just amazing. I love them brothers!

Outstanding harmonies. Don and Phil were truly one of a kind! ❤
Nice to see and hear them doing stuff like Bowling Green instead of the usual stuff. I love what they did in the late sixties/early seventies.
Geniale Musiker, einfach Spitze. Ich liebe ihre Stimmen

Wahnsinnig gut. Super, super
Phil is truly the ADORABLE one!!! ❤️
AGREE!!!
Great miming on Bowling Green!
I noticed that too Robin. I wonder why, because they were more than capable of reproducing it live. May have been the lack of backing singers 🤔
I love this song so much, I was disappointed that they didn't sign it live, but I love to hear it anyway.

Love the Beatles bit effortlessly brilliant , the Beatles loved and looked up to the brothers so much especially Paul and John

Nobody sang together better than the Everly Brothers, not even Lennon/McCartney. It was a sibling thing.
John and Paul said they got the idea for the harmonies on "Please, Please Me" from "Cathy's Clown."

Wonder if these guys danced as well as they sang?
That would be great to see!! When they’re singing & playing guitars, their feet are going - if they’re sitting down!!
I saw a video somewhere of Phil jitterbugging with a girl (lucky girl!). He was dancing well.
When the break into Price of Love, at about 10:51...man. That's it.
